Chapter 31

“Alright do we have everything?” Ashton asked us all.

“Yea that’s everything.” I said, making sure there was nothing else we needed. Today was the day we left for Jersey for a few days. Last night I couldn’t sleep because there was too much excitement built in me. I don’t remember the last vacation I ever went on. With my ex we would drive up to his cousins upstate for like 2 days but that wasn’t really a vacation.

“Alright everyone get in and let’s go!” Ashton cheered.

“Shotgun!” Luke called out.

“Fuck you man.” Calum said, smacking Luke’s arm. Luke just laughed. Once we were all in the car, we pulled out of Ashton’s driveway and drove off. I rested my head on Michael’s shoulder and slowly dozed off. We were going to be in the car for about 3 hours so why not get some extra sleep.

I was awoken by someone lightly shaking me.

“Kayla. Kayla wake up.” Michael softly spoke.

When I opened my eyes, all I saw was Michael’s bright green eyes staring right at me.

“Hi.” I smiled.

“We are at a rest stop do you want anything to eat?” He asked.

“Um yea I’ll come in and get a coffee.” I smiled.

We then got out of the car and walked inside. I then went over and began to make myself a small cup of coffee. I also grabbed a bag of skittles then brought it up to the counter. I went to pull out my wallet until I felt Michael’s hands push my wallet back in my bag.

“Don’t waste your money on coffee and a bag of skittles. I told you I’m paying for you.” Michael insisted.

“You’re a pain in the ass.” I whined.

“Yea but I’m your pain in the ass.” He smiled, then putting money on the counter. I then grabbed my food and we walked back out to the car and drove off.

About 2 hours later we finally arrived. We then pulled up to a huge, beautiful house. It was almost like an mansion.

“Holy shit is this where we are staying?” I asked.

“Yup. My cousin makes a lot of money.” Calum said, hopping out of the car.

We then all got out and grabbed our stuff out of the back.

“This place is sick!” Michael shouted.

“This is the perfect for a huge party.” Luke pointed out.

“Yea no big parties here. If anything gets wrecked, I am completely fucked.” Calum said.

We then all walked up the stairs and just walked inside.

“Hello? Jim?” Calum called out. When we walked inside. The inside was even more amazing. There was a beautiful front room and a big hallway that lead to the kitchen which even looked amazing from far away. There were nice painting hung on the walls and it was awesome.

“Hey Calum!” A man called out from upstairs. He then began to walk down the stairs.

“Guys this is Jim. Jim this is Ashton, Luke, Michael and that’s Kayla.” Calum pointed out.

“Hey guys.” Jim said.

“So where we all staying?” Calum asked.

“I’ll show you come up stairs.” Jim said.

We then all walked upstairs to the rooms we were staying in. The upstairs was really nice too.

“We have 4 bedrooms up here so you guys can pick whatever rooms you want. And the bathroom is right here and another one in the master bedroom over there. There is also another one downstairs in the hallway that leads to the kitchen. So you guys can pick out where you wanna stay.”
