(Michael’s POV)

When I woke up, I realized I wasn’t in my bed. I was in the trailer with Kayla. SHe had her head rested on my bare chest and her arm draped around my waist. She was still asleep. When I looked at the time, it was 10am. I hope my parents didn’t realize I was gone. Even if they did, I wouldn’t care because last night was great. It was so fucking great. After sex, we just stayed up and talked. Talked about a lot of stuff. Her family, my family, embarrassing stories, music, video games, shit we did when we were drunk and she told me every detail about her homeless life. It made me think a lot about how without me in her life, where would she be right now. I’m glad I found her. I have never been able to talk to someone like that. I’ve had a lot of girlfriends in the past, but she is different. That’s what I like about her. Out of all the girls I’ve slept with, she was the greatest. Holy shit she’s so fucking great. I looked down at her sleepy face and giggled at her lightly snoring. I kissed the top of her head and slipped my way out of bed, careful not to wake her. I then got dressed and made my way back to my house.

When I got inside, I went into the kitchen to get some food. I then heard a door close behind me. It was my dad walking out of his room, about to go to work. I sighed and turned back to the fridge.

“Morning Mikey.” He said. I didn’t say anything back. I was still mad after what happened yesterday in the living room.

“I said good morning Michael.” He said again, waiting for me to answer.

“Mornin’.” I sighed. I woke up in a great mood  why is he trying to take that away from me?

“Look I understand you’re a little upset with us-” He began to say but I cut him off, “A little upset?” I snapped back.

“Your family cares much about you and we just are trying to help.”

“Well what would help if you would support me instead of tell me what I love to do is a waste of time and music isn’t a real career.” I once again snapped back.

“Bands don’t always work out for everyone.” He said, fixing his tie.

“It can work. Ashton’s dad is teaching Ashton drums, Calum pretty good at bass, Luke sings and plays guitar, it can work. Also, I’m still going to work at Toys R Us whenever I can. I have it all planned out. This is my future, my life not your.” I took a deep breath, then sat down at the table to eat my waffle.

“Michael I-” I then once again cut him off, “I don’t want to talk about it bye dad have fun at work!” I hissed back. He didn’t say anything after that, he just walked out of the house. I then finally got to finish my breakfast in peace.

“Good morning.” I heard someone whisper in my ear and felt their arms wrap around me. I right away knew it was Kayla.

I turned around to face her, “Good morning babe. You sleep well?” I smiled, giving her a quick kiss.

“Yes I did very well.” She smirked, taking a seat right next to me.

“I made 3 waffles if you want one.” I said, handing her one. She took it in her hands and began to eat it.

“Last night was great.” She smirked, then taking another bite.

“Amazing.’ I smirked as the memories of last night came flooding back into my head. I then finished my waffles and put my plate and glass in the sink.

“Do you have work today?” Kayla asked.

“Nope I’m off today.” I smiled, walking over to her and pulling her out of her seat onto her feet. She wrapped her arms around me and gave me a big hug, “Yay!” She shrieked.

“Since I’m off, I was thinking we would go over to our special place and hang out there for a bit. I need to get out of this house.” I said, pulling Kayla closer.

“Okay I’m perfectly fine with that.” Kayla giggled.

“Why are you laughing?” I questioned.

“You got a milk moustache.” She laughed, taking a napkin and whipping the milk off my face.

“Oh shit.” I laughed.

Once the milk was off my face, we went upstairs and got dressed.

“Michael can I wear one of your shirts?” Kayla asked, holding up my “Drop Dead” sweater.

“Yea sure go ahead.” I said, slipping on my skinny jeans. She then slipped on the sweater and gave me the okay that she was ready.

When we got in my car, I put in my Green Day album and pulled out of the driveway, and to now what I call our place to get away. I don’t like to consider it just my hideout, but our hideout. I feel very close to Kayla and I know she understands me and I understand her. This is our little get away from reality place.
