Chapter 17

Lily's POV

Today at the great hall I received a letter. I don't usually receive letters because all my friends are here at school unless it was my parents and I doubt it will be Petunia seeing she thinks of me as a freak. I opened and it read.

Lily,

You are invited to my wedding. Not because I want you too, but also because mum insisted and you have to be here as you are my sister. You can bring one of your freak friend in only one condition; don't you dare use hopcus pocous on me OR ANY ONE!

Your normal sister,

Petunia.

Wow, that was harsh. James was seated besides me was in a discussion with Marlene on which quidditch team was better. Montrose Magpies or Puddlemere United. I personally was not a big fan of quidditch. But if I had to choose one team it will be Chudley Cannons.

"James, can we talk."

"Sure." We stood up and went to the castle grounds. Every thing was covered with a white sheet of soft snow. Such a beautiful day. students were playing tag, tacking on another, snow ball fight, making snow angels and snow mans. I'm pretty sure a muggle born casted the charm to make the snowman sing and dance while the students were singing the song 'Frost the Snowman.'

We walked towards the black lake which was frozen. I pointed my wand to a patch on the ground and melted it so our butts wouldn't freeze. Then I cast a warming spell to keep us warm and we at on the ground. We sat down and James pulled me closer to him. He wrapped his arm around me and I placed my head in the crook of his neck. We were in silence and admiring our soundings.

"James." Whispering I broke the silence.

"Mhmmm?"

"Well as you see, the thing is that, can you, want to come and spend with me the holidays? Both my parents will love you and definitely approve of you. My mum will probably stuff you food the moment you step in and wont let you skip a meal and dad will probably threaten you, but then will make you watch football with you. Petunia is getting married on the 26th with a whale and I would like for you to be there so i wount be all lonly. Petunia wont like you she will hate you like she dose to me because we are wizards and witches or freaks in her terms. We could do so much things. I could teach you how muggles live, work and are without magic. And also-" James shut me up with my rambling. I guess nervous if he said no and left me alone with my sister. I would miss him terribly.

"Lily I would go to meet your parents and stay with you." I just smile and leaned on him again.

Tomorrow we were going back to our home and those who woudn't would stay here at Hogwarts. We spent the rest of the day walking, drinking butterbeer, visiting the kitchens with house elves and me looking for a new book in the library. I wrote to mum telling her James would come and to tell Petunia that I was definitely not missing her wedding day. Finally I went to to my dormitory and sleep took over my body.

"Lily! Come on! Wake up!" Someone was hitting me with a pillow with every word she said. I just moved a little to show I was awake but that didn't seem to make enough understatement.

"AGUAMENTI!" A wave of water came to me and I was woken completely. Splurging and coughing water everywhere I stood up and remotely walked to the bathroom to get ready, not bothering to scream or scold at however casted the spell at me. I felt tied and sleepy. Sometimes I am not a morning person. Once I finished I closed my trunk and pulled it downstairs to where James was waiting for me. He smiled at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I just grumbled and kept walking toward the portrait.

"Whoa someones in a bad mood." He said jokingly and walked faster to catch up with me and grabbed my trunk in one hand. Once we were down the stairs we left our trunks with the rest and went to the Great Hall to fill our empty stomachs. Before I entered James grabbed me and stared tickling me.

"Wha- Ja- James! Stop- Please! Ha! No! Stop it!" I was scrimping in his arms as he ticked me. He stopped ticking me and turned me to meet his face.

"Now there the happy, smiling, loving Lily and not the grumpy one that is flaring Smoke through her nose is!" He smiled and I gave shoved him. He kissed my cheek and opened the doors for me to enter the Great Hall. We sat down and wolfed down our food. Then we said good-bye to Marlene, Frank and Alice. We promised we would write each other and to sent our gifts to everyone. Sirius, Peter, and Remus were coming home for the holidays. Sirius was going to stay with us too because he has family issues and I said he could come which he gladly accepted.

Once in the train we found a compartment and the five of us sat down. I slept for a while on James shoulder and when I woke up I could see James and Peter talking. Remus was engrossed with a book and Sirius was sleeping and had drool. Ew. As we neared the train station I could see James was starting to get a little more nervous, by shaking his leg and looking out the window every often.

"James are you okay? You aren't nervous are you?" This seemed to made a pack to him and turned his head towards me and saying.

"Me nervous? Pleesh Lily. I am James freaking Potter."

"Mhmm. That's what I thought. But don't worry they don't bite." A few minutes passed and the train fully stopped and we got up and grabbed our trunks and steeped outside. Parents were everywhere and hugging their children. A plump woman was waving at Peter and I suspect this was his mother. He gave us a wave and sheepishly walked to her mum turning a big red shed of red. We kept walking and a man looking a lot like Remus except for the scars, came to us.

"Hi Remus. Sirius, James." he gave his on a man hug and a nod to both of the boys. Then his eyes went to me.

"An who you might be?"

"Oh I'm Lily, Lily Evans and am friends with Remus and this lot. And James girlfriend."

"Oh yes Remus has told me a lot of you. How kind you are and that you are the smartest witch of your age. And James congrats, you finally got the girl!" He beamed and gave a pat on James back. We said good-bye and crossed the brick wall. I was in search for my father who was picking us up.

"Lily!" someone screamed and I saw my father with a huge grin plastered on his face and with reddish hair wave at me.

"Daddy!" I said and ran to him and hugged the man who always was there for me to scare away the monsters. Once we separated I introduced him to James and Sirius.

"Dad this are Sirius Black," he gave Sirius a hand shake and nodded "And this is James Potter, my boyfriend."
