Jily a Fanfic

Chapter 12

James POV

The Halloween dance was coming nearer I was sure I was going with Lily. I know I am her boyfriend but I want to ask her just in case she has a mental breakdown or someone else asks her, which I'm sure she would say no. The dance was tomorrow night on Halloween. It made it all more exiting and spookier. I was walking the corridor looking for Lily when I finally saw her reading by the Charms classroom. We had next that class.

"Hey Lily's!" I said and got her attention. She turned her head and when she saw it was me she smiled.

"Hey James. Whats up?" She asked standing up to her feet.

"Well I was wondering if you would like to go with the Halloween ball with me." I said nervously with my hand messing up me hair.

When she herd me asking her face fell. "I am sorry James but Sirius already asked me out." How dare he?!

"What!" I screamed outraged. "HE IS SO GOING TO GET A PUNCH IN THE FACE! HOW HE DARES! LILY! YOU ARE MY GIRLFRIEND YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO GO OUT WITH ME NOT WITH HIM!" I roared.

Silence filled the corridor from my screaming, but was broken by a giggling from Lily.

"Oh James you totally fell for it!" Happy tears were falling from her eyes as she laughed. I was just standing there dumb folded.

"What?" I asked not moving my feet.

"James, Sirius and I are just messing with you. He said if I told you I was going out with him he would give me 20 galleons. Which by the way here." She said smiling taking 10 galleons from her pocket giving it to me.

"For what?" I asked.

"Well I didn't fell good at the first place doing this to you so I thought I would give you half of what Sirius gave me." She said shyly.

"Oh, Lily you are to good for your own good." I said and gave her a hug. "Just please don't play with me like that. I was ready to hit Sirius not caring getting detention for a month." Lily just giggled. I love the sound of her giggles and kissed her. The bell rang and we entered the classroom and seated. She seated with Marlene and started taking notes as soon as Professor started the lesson. On a piece of paper I wrote.

'Lily would you go to the Halloween ball with me?'

I folded it into a plane and with a wave of my wand it flew and got to Lily. She was still taking notes when she the plane was getting her attention. When it landed on her parchment she opened it and read it. When she finished reading her eyes went searching for me. When her eyes landed she just gave me a kind smile and continue writing on her parchment. I tried to concentrate on the class but I was very distract looking at Sirius trying to think a way to ask Marlene out. I got distracted a a paper crane came towards me. I coughs in in mid air a read it.

'I would be honored.'

My heart did little back flips. I still don't know why but every time I think of her my heart races 1000 miles an hour. I guess that's what love does to you. It drives you mad.
