Chapeter 13

Lily's POV

The Halloween ball was today and I was getting dressed as a witch in the muggle version. Alice was going as Snow Wight and Frank as Prince Charming, they look so cute together.

The boys were to wait for us in the common room. Alice already went downstairs with Frank. Marlene and I were just finishing dressing, pulling make up and doing our hair.Marlene was going as the devil in a tight red dress which was very short in my opinion. It also had the tail, horns and a very red lipstick on her lips. I also straighten her hair.

My dress was purple from the bottom and was a little puffy and the top was orange. On the chest it had black laces like the ones on shoes crossing each other. I had my combat black boots and my pointy black hat on. James lend me his broom and also I used had my wand with me. I let my hair fall in my back just the way it natural looks. I did a little research and found a spell to turn my skin green for a moment I said the enchantment and colored my lips the same color as Marlene's. I only added with a black eyeliner a wart on my nose. I looked at myself in the mirror and smiled at myself for my art work.

Marlene and I walked down the stairs and saw the boys in their costumes. I went to James and Marlene went to Sirius who somehow made her agree to go with him.

Peter was dressed as a cowboy. He had his cowboy boots, cowboy hat, muggle jeans and a red squared shirt. He also had a lasso but was having problems with it. Peter was very nervous and keep moving the lasso in his hands.

Remus was dressed as a pirate. He had a sword, a hat, a hook, and boots, he looked really good in his costume. He's handsome but he really doesn't seems to find the right girl yet but I am sure she will come.

Sirius was dressed as a zombie. He came up to me and I gave him the idea and had to explain every detail to what was a zombie because in the Wizarding World no one knew what they were. His clothes were torn and had make up on to make him look dead.

James was dressed as a vampire. He had on his cape and added a charm to his teeth to look sharpened but it was only and illusion. His face was with make up so it would look pale. It looked like he had blood in his mouth but as well it was only make up.

"You look beautiful Lily." James said in his husky voice. It made me grin and I turned around to him saying.

"Not to bad yourself."

Sirius was whispering some words to Marlene and I had my suspicions they were dirty things because he was grabbing her from behind and he was hugging her low. We started walking to the great hall were the part was being held. Remus and Peter were talking and I didn't know were Sirius and Marlene were. James and I were hand in hand walking together. It was silent so I guess there must put a sound proof spell to not wake up he hole castle.

Once we entered the four long tables were gone and replaced them were smaller round tables and a dance floor. Up were the teachers tables usually was a band was singing the night away. There were also a table with food and drinks and I am sure mostly of them were alcohol and someone sneak some of it. Students were dressed in every costume possible having a great time.

"Come on let's go dance!" James said dragging me to the dance floor. We were dancing and laughing having a great time and then came a slow song. I placed my hands around his neck and he placed his around my waist. He moved his head so his lips were almost touching her ears.

"Lily your so beautiful tonight." He whispered. I just blushed and I knew he was smirking. As the song finished we went to the black lake and laid on our backs watching the stars. Our hands were touching each other sending warmth. The star were so bright they were burning my eyes. It was silent with crickets humming and the leaves making sound in the night.

"Why do we need to watch the sky to enjoy the stars when the ultimate star is me?"

My fist thought was "Sirius Orion Black" and "what the hell he is doing here?"

"Sirius what the bloody hell are you doing? And where's Marlene isn't she supposed to be taking care of you?" James said rolling so his stomach was on the grass and facing Sirius who was already on the same position. I copied their movements and were facing Sirius beside James.

"Well I am here trying to compete with the others stars on who is the shiniest of all." I just rolled my eyes and James was smiling at his little show he was putting on. "And to your other question Marlene is on her way to get her beauty sleep not that she really needs it."

For me it stared to get cold and I moved my hands to my arms rubbing them trying to make friction. Also I stared to yawn. James took notice of it too.

"Come on Lily it's already late let's get you to bed." He got up and grabbed my hand and pulled my up. Now the only one down was Sirius. He just put a hand in the air and made a face saying "pretty please help me get up." I laughed and helped him up and started walking to the castle. It started to get even colder and James places his arm and pulled me to his warm frame making me warmer.

We started going up the stairs to our common room but we were stopped. There was Snape, Black (Sirius younger brother), and someone in the back I couldn't identify well for being in the shadows.

"Well, well, well, look who we got here." That voice I hated so much. "Isn't the mudblood and the two blood traitors." Bellatrix.

"What do you want?" I asked stepping in front.

"You know the usual as always. Just a duel.

"Hi Trixie. How is my favorite cousin is doing." Sirius stepped in.

"How dare you speak to me. You are a disgrace to the Black family you should never been born!" I turned to look at Sirius and had a hurt look on his face but it turn into a smear.

"Why don't you love me?" He said in a mocking voice and advanced with his arms open trying to hug her cousin.

"Don't you touch me Sirius Black!" And with that we started dwelling.

Sirius took Regulus his brother. They both had a pain expression in their faces. I felt sorry for them. I mean I fought with Petunia but we didn't battle to death. I really broke my heart to see this.

James and Severus were battling each other. Severus was fast but James was faster. Severus was even casting spells he created himself. I am glad both James and Sirius know how to protect themselves and pay attention on class.

Bellatrix was throwing spell after spell at me. All I could do was cast the protecting shield.

"INCENDIO!"

"DIFFINDO!"

"EXPULSO!"

"LOCOMOTOR MOTRIS!"

"CRUCIO!"

Pain. That was all I felt. Life knifes were stabbing me in the back. Fire in my veins I felt I couldn't move. I was on the floor crying and screaming in agony. Severus got distracted and James stunned him. Sirius finally petrified his brother and disarmed Bellatrix and made ropes appear and tied her up.

James got to his knees and placed an arm beneath my knees and another under my head and carried me to the hospital wing. He kept reassuring things to me whispering them.

"You are going to get better."

"Lily look we are almost there."

"You are the bravest person I know."

"Don't go to sleep Lily stay awake for me."

I couldn't help the pain I just nodded but it hurt so much. I moved closer to James clutching his clothes as it would help me ease the pain.

"Sirius go with Madam Pomfrey and wake her up and start explaining what happen." He nodded and sprinted the stairs to the nurse. James ran as fast as he could with me in his arms. He is so strong to carry me all the way to the Hospital Wing and while he is also hurt from the spells form Snape.

"MADAM POMFREY!" James yells and with that I fell into darkness.
