Jily a Fanfic

Chapter 22

James POV

The rest of the holiday were spent in Petunia's and Vernon's wedding (freedom at least), playing in the snow, watching movies and backing food. Now vacations are over and we are on the train off to Hogwarts. Sirius, Lily and I are on a compartment waiting from Remus and Peter to appear. Lily is reading a book but I can since that she is off. Sirius is already fast asleep.

"Ugh! I keep reading the same sentence over and over."

"What got you worried my love?"

"Me worried? Psh James I am not," I gave her a look and she bluff. "Okay, I am worried that Petunia doesn't likes her wedding present." The wedding was okay we could say. Petunia blew up for a second at Lily since guests were paying attention to Lily and not her. Sirius pushed Petunia's head into the cake while cutting it, but we ignored those details is was fun dancing with Lily and Sirius.

"What I think the present was okay. I only wonder what her face would be when she figures out it was done with magic. Stop worrying so much you are going to get wrinkles." I chuckled. Lily worried so much. The present she gave Petunia was two flowers in a closed bowl filled with water. A petunia surrounded by little lilies. The charm was to keep the water clean and the flowers fresh. Also when Lily stops loving her sister the flowers will die, which I doubt it will ever happen.

Lily nodded and returned to her reading. During all the train ride we ate, talk, slept, and walked to other compartments to catch up with friends. One we got changed in our robes we arrived at Hogsmead ready to take the carriages to Hogwarts. It was already dark when we got there and the castle lights were gleaming bright. Such a beautiful scene you could never forget. I wonder that if when we get out of Hogwarts we will come and visit. I mean how can we not pay a visit to Minnie, Peeves and Dumbledore.

When we were climbing up the stairs some second years screamed. When I turned around to see what was the commotion, I saw they were covered in a slimy green blob. I turned my head up to see a grinning and laughing Peeves. He turns to me and gives me a salute as I do the same. Only to receive a glare from Lily and turned back to help those kids. She was always saving the day and helping others. When she came back I took my hand out of my pocket to grab hers in mine and continued walking to the great hall were our dinner was waiting for us.

The great hall was fill with chatter and catching up with friends and talking about our vacations. Lily left me to talk to Marlene who went to France with her family and to Alice who went on a trip with Frank. I was talking with my mates about our vacations. We were in discussion about Remus encounter with a girl she met when a flash like a reflection took away my attention from Remus to Alice who was smiling nervously. That's when I noticed the gold band around her finger.

"Oi Alice! How did Longbottom proposed?" I almost screamed and everyone was quieting around us. Alice turned a deep shade of red and Frank was also turning red. Lily turned around to take Alice hand and gasped.

"You didn't tell us?! You have a lot of talking young lady! I want to be a bridesmaid! Come on, get up!" With that the three girls stood up and left the hall to the Gryffindor Tower. Peter turned to Frank and spoke.

"H-how, what?" He was shocked at this suddenly announcement.

"When Alice and I went camping one night I got down on one knee and asked Alice to be my wife and she said yes. It might be early but we are in war and I don't want to spend every second I have left with her by my side." While Frank spoke I could see how his eyes shined when he spoke of Alice. I am sure that's the lost puppy look I have when I am with Lily.

Once we finished dinner we went up the stairs jumped the trick step but obviously Sirius wasn't paying attention by trying to flirt with a girl and fell down. Once the laughter died down we made it to the portrait with the fat lady, spoke the password 'mandrake' and went inside to find the girls laughing and when they herd us enter they walked towards us.

We were to tired to keep awake so once I got my night sleep from Lily I went to bed and sleepy like a baby without a care in the world.

Next morning we woke up missing our non alarm days and got ready for breakfast. I was planning on making a prank on the Slytherins but we would have to go unnoticed by Lily and the girls if we want this to work. We were planing to go to the library and plan our mischief.

The rest of the day was spent by a surprise exam from McGonagoll to test us if our brains didn't rot during vacations. During potions, Sirius got distracted and his potion blew on his face making him have boils in his face, and his precious hair got gooey. Once we got all the goo off Sirius hair it was time for dinner. I was grabbing smashed potatoes noticed that my favorite red head wasn't present.

"Where's Lily?"

"She's in the library doing homework and studying. She's going to kill herself. You mister have to keep your bookworm out of there and get her relaxed." Marlene answered for me. Typical Lily.

When we finished eating Sirius, Remus, Peter and I stood up and when to the library. When we got there I saw Lily on a table with towers of books and pieces of parchment surrounding her. I nod to the boys telling them I will be with them shortly as I went behind Lily's back. She was muttering what she was reading and didn't notice me. I stared massaging her back and whispered in her ear.

"Why are you studying? We just got back." She shuddered against me and I was glad I had this effect on her and smiled.

"Whats not study. I want to go ahead of my works so I can have more free time. The faster I get this done the better it is. And can I ask, why are you in the library?"

"Well, the boys and I are planing stuff."

"Do I want to know?"

"No, but you will not tell right?"

"If I don't see you there's nothing I can blame you for."

"Wow Evans, you realize this is you letting us do a prank right? I never saw this day."

"And I never saw the day that you Potter will come to the library. Yet alone find it." I laughed at her remark and gave her a kiss on her cheek and went with my mates to start our planing.

Our prank for tomorrow consisted of giving the Slytherins spiked juice in the morning to make them high, changing their robes to say 'Sluterins' instead of ¨Slytherings' and turning their hair a bright magenta for the rest of the day. Peter was already gone to the kitchens to tell the house elves to place our drink on the Slytherings to make them high. We were friends of the house elves and always treated us like kings. Sirius was with some Slytherings flirting with some girls for them to give their common room password so he could change the robes. Remus and I were left in the library perfect the spell and changing each others hair color.

When it was almost time for curfew we were the last ones out the library to my surprise. In the common room only some second years were making their homework so we went to our room to see a grinning Sirius and Peter waiting for us in their bed. I laughed at tomorrows faces of the Slytherings and went to sleep with a smile on my face.
