Everybody's carrying on fine now,

another war simmered towards single amber frown;

What about mine hearts fragileness,

lying in the aftermaths settled mess,

ache continuing to rip core down in layered stress;

thoughts never imagined of another,

no affectionate apologies upon syllable stutters;

choke another day inwards,

lungs squeezed through inch cylinder,

feelings slapped again & splintered -

Suppose I should return mine friend of corner,

bandage more pricks carelessness has injured

&

I'll be believably sorted when you've returned,

can find none peace if one extends

unnecessary blizzard,

set ablaze perpetual winter.
