Keith's POV

I was on my way to my computer class with Hunk when I hear someone say my name. I turn around to see who it was, it was the girl that was talking to Lance during gym. "Sorry, but how do you know my name?"

The girl ran up next to me "Lance mentioned it," she looked over at me. "I'm Pidge by the way."

"Oh ya you sit just a few seats away from me in computers," Hunk mentions.

"Oh ya aren't you the girl the teacher likes because he doesn't have to teach you like anything," I ask

She nods "yep that's me." By that point we had reached our class. Pidge asked the teacher if she could sit beside me instead of her usual spot, the teacher agreed so she came to sit beside me on the side Hunk wasn't.

"Why don't you sit with your friends," I asked

"You guys seem more interesting," was her only response. I looked over at Hunk to see if he had an answer for me but he only shrugged.

Our class starts and the only noise for a while was the typing of the keys on the computers, and murmurs from the other students.

"So how did you and Lance meat," Pidge said breaking the silence between us.

I blush a bit at his name. "Well umm he and I just met today but we've had classes together since grade like 4."

"Hu," was all she said.

"Why were you wondering."

"Just curious, and I have one more question," I look over at her "why don't you usually talk during classes?"

"Oh I don't know, I guess I'll only really talk to the people that I have to or if I feel comfortable around them."

"He doesn't like talking around strangers," hunk clarified.

"I was a stranger till the beginning of class, you're talking to me, and you're not stumbling over your words," Pidge said.

I think for a second. "You keep asking me questions, and I'm not nervous," she shrugged

"So you're nervous around Lance?"

"I guess a-a little." She smiles at the answer but I can't figure out why.

The class eventually ends and I head down to my locker. When I open it up a note slipped out. It was a little slip of blue paper. I open the letter and see a series of numbers followed by a smiley face. I look around to see who could have written it but there was no one close to my locker but hunk.

"What's that?" Hunk askes from 2 lockers down from me.

"I-I think its a phone number," I flip it over and there's a small note.

'To keep in touch' is all the letter says, no name, nothing.

Hunk and I leave school and start to walk home. "Who do you think the number belongs to? do you think they put it in the wrong locker?" I couldn't help but hope it was Lances, but he doesn't know where my locker, or at least I didn't think he did, so I had my doubts.

"Well, there is only 1 way to find out really," Hunk says.

"I CAN'T CALL THEM, what if it was a mistake, or what if its a girls phone number."

Hunk looked at me. "No offence dude, but contrary to what I said this morning I don't think a girl would give you their number, at least not without a name or something."

I look at him 'offended' and say, "I think any girl would gladly give me their number." The sarcasm in my voice made us both start laughing.

We were laughing so hard that we nearly missed my house. I waved goodbye to Hunk as he walked down to his house.

"I'm home," I said when I got in the house.

My foster mom peeked her head around the corner of the kitchen. "Hey Keith how was your day."

"It was pretty good."
