Part 7

The next day Lances POV

I get ready for school as fast as I can so that I can try to catch Keith when he leaves for school. I wait outside and see Keith leave his house and meat Hunk at the end of the driveway.

I run to the end of my driveway and walk next to Keith, "hey."

"H-hey! L-Lance," Keith says a bit surprised.

I hear Hunk laugh a bit followed by an "ow what was that for." I see that Keith elbowed him and was now giving him a slight glare. I can't help but snicker.

While we walk to school Hunk get a least two more elbows to the side after whispering something to Keith

We walk thru the front door Hunk had to talk to the principal about something so Keith and I were alone

"Why did you keep elbowing Hunk?"

The was a small silence before Keith answered "h-he just said some stuff." I look over at Keith and he's red as a tomato. "Oh umm and a-about the call last night."

"What about it."

"S-sorry I had to cut i-it short." He looks down at his feet

"I have a question." Keith looks up to see what it is. "Why did your brother call for you, I won't deny I was a bit scared before he said he was your brother."

"W-well I didn't know who's number it w-was and Shiro grabbed the number t-to call before I could stop him. W-why were you scared?" I looked down at Keith and his eyes were sparkling a bit.

'I can't believe I forgot to put my name on it' i thought to myself.

"Well he has a bit of a scary voice and I couldn't figure out how he got my number or why he was calling me." I rubbed the back of my neck "but when he said your name I felt like I could calm down."

'DID I JUST SAY HIS NAME CALMED ME DOWN' my face heated up a bit as I thought of what I just said.

I look down at Keith and he's smiling a bit. "Well umm I just passed my locker so s-see you in class," I say turning back a couple of steps

Keith says bye then heads down to his locker to get his stuff.

As I close the locker door I see an angry Pidge "dude why did you ditch me this morning" she crosses her arms. "I thought we were supposed to be friends."

"I am so sorry, I saw Keith and Hunk so I walked with them this morning but I'll walk home with you. I promise."

Pidge laughs a bit at me and then smiles "it's fine just next time give me a heads up I was waiting outside your house for like 5 minutes before your mom told me you already left. And you were with Keith so I guess that's fine." Pidge walks away before I could process what she was saying.

Keith's POV

"Sorry I elbowed you so many times on the way to school," I apologize to Hunk as we get our stuff for our first classes.

"It's fine I think I deserved it." He rubbed his sid a bit.

"Yes you did, oh and Hunk if you want to tease me about Lance do it when no one's around, or you know what would be even better."

"No, what?"

"Don't tease me at all," I say closing my locker door.

"Oh, we both know that will NOT happen." We both start laughing and head upstairs for our first class.

Hunk goes off to his french class and I wait outside the science room waiting for our teacher who is running a couple of minutes late.

A few more minutes pass and a small crowd begins to form around the entrance. Me not being good with crowds, stand on the outskirts and by the wall.

I start to get a bit impatient because it's been 8 minutes now. I pull out a book from my bag and start to read.

"What you reading this time?" I hear Lance's familiar voice ask.

"Oh i-its umm 'Harry Potter and the half-blood prince' it's the 6th book in the series."

"Weren't you on like the 1st one yesterday?"

"Since I've read them all before I don't always read them in order," I say looking down at the book 'wait did I get a full sentence out without stumbling once???' I was very proud of myself for being able to talk to him normally for once.

"Could I maybe borrow the first book" I look back up at him and nod. "Great can I pick it up after school, and I was wondering if you could maybe help me with whatever science homework we get today? I'm really bad at science and probably won't get the work done in class."

"Uhh ya sure."

'wait did I just invite my CRUSH OVER TO MY HOUSE' I internally flip out, mom and Shiro are going to have a field day.

The teacher had finally arrived and we headed into class. Lance sat beside me like he did yesterday and we worked together on the assignment I found it quite simple but Lance seemed to be struggling.

2ed period came around then lunch. I was in the library again with Hunk and like yesterday Lance came so eat with us but this time he brought Pidge.

"Did you finish the science work?" Lance asks.

All I do is nod my head.

Lunch eventually ended and so did school. Nothing happened except Pidge asking me more weird questions and Hunk teasing me relentlessly about Lance coming over that night. All 4 of us walked home together Lance and I turning down my driveway as Hunk and Pidge continued to their houses.

Hunks POV

After Keith and Lance were in Keith's house I asked Pidge "do you think anything is going to happen? Like between Lance and Keith."

"They're way too oblivious to even know the other like's them like that I mean, I knew Lance liked Keith before he did," Pidge said.

We stopped at my house and I turned down the driveway "see ya tomorrow."

"See ya," she said and kept walking.
