[Liam gets in an accident and goes in a coma. He wakes up with amnesia. Thiam human au.]
Liam stood at the corner, awaiting his turn to cross the street. He was all of sudden blinded by bright white lights, a truck was speeding towards him, not slowing down. His first instinct was to run so he wouldn't get hit but his feet remained glued to the asphalt. He felt immense pain as he was thrown down the ground. He couldn't hear anything but a ringing in his ears as his head hit the hard ground. He opened his eyes but everything was blurred. He could make out people running towards him and a truck driving away very quickly. People were trying to ask him questions that he couldn't make out. Some people were shouting, but that's all he could make out before he was drowned in darkness.

Theo was sitting at the table, eating a sandwich for dinner, waiting for Liam to return home from practice at the highschool. It was taking too long. He kept thinking. Practice ended thirty minutes ago. It's only a fifteen minute walk.
He was just throwing away the paper towel, when he the familiar tone of his ringtone. He picked it up, answering the call.
"Theo," A female voice asked through the phone. He recognized immediately as Melissa McCall's. "Get to the hospital right now. Liam got in an accident." Theo didn't even reply, because he was already up and out the door before she could finish her sentence. He didn't even reply until he was buckled and the engine was on.
"I'll be there in a few minutes." He said into the phone, and then he hung up. When he got to the hospital and parked, he ran into the hospital and came face to face with Scott and Stiles.
"Where is he?" Theo asked.
"Room 16. We're not allowed to see him yet." Scott replied.
"Why not?" Theo was in a slight panic.
"They're still casting some of the broken bones. It was a hit and run according to the witnesses." This time it was Stiles that answered.
Malia, Lydia, Mason, and Corey showed up a little after Theo did. No one was freaking out as much as Theo even though Mason was pacing back and forth for a few minutes but Corey managed to calm him down and made him sit in a chair. Scott, Stiles, Malia, and Lydia were talking to Melissa about what happened, leaving Theo to just panic on his own.
After another ten minutes, a nurse came over to the group. "You may see him now. Just be gentle with him. He's having a hard time . . . remembering things." The nurse told them. Mason and Corey went in first, they were his best friends after all. They came out five minutes later, Mason on the verge of tears. Next was Scott and Stiles because they were basically his parents. They didn't look like they were about to cry like Mason, but Theo could tell they were upset. Then Lydia and Malia despite neither of them really having ever talked one on one just the two of them. The last person to go to see Liam was Theo. He was scared what he would find in the room. A human with many broken bones and a lost look on his face. The nurse said he was having trouble remembering things. He didn't have much time to dwell on his thoughts as he had walked through the door into the white room that smelled strongly of anti-septic.
"Liam?" Theo asked uncertainly. Liam looked over at him.
"Who're you?" Liam asked almost as if he had had to ask that multiple times already.
"I'm Theo. Your roommate." The look of confusion remained on the broken boy's face.
"Roommate. Theo." He muttered under his breath. He thought for a second, then, a look of recognition replacing the confusion. "You lived in your truck."
"Yeah." Theo said softly. Tears were starting to make their way to his eyes. Liam somewhat remembered him. The reason why they were as close as they were. They talked for a few more minutes before the nurse came back in to tell him that Liam needed to rest. In that time Liam had learned that Theo also went to Beacon Hills High with him and his friends and they were really close, almost best friends. Liam had learned from Scott that he was the captain of the lacrosse team.
Over the course of the next month Theo was helping Liam remember things as best as he could. Things like, after they would come home from one of Liam's games and stay up late watching movies. How they would hold each other during the scarier ones, and how they would laugh uncontrollably during the comedies. They did continue this tradition and Liam soon remembered all the nights spent just cuddling and eating popcorn.
Theo knew he had a crush on Liam. He had known ever since one of their movies nights a few months before the accident. What he didn't know was that Liam had also been harboring feelings for his roommate. That was why he remembered Theo over the others. He held a spot closer to memory than the others, and Theo didn't know until he was telling Liam of all his friends that he had and what relation he had to them.
"Scott McCall is like your father of the group." Theo started.
Liam's face contorted to a look of absolute concentration, trying desperately to remember why they became friends. "He helped me . . . at school. I was having problems with my I.E.D."
"Stiles Stilinski is your other father."
"He helped Scott help me with the I.E.D."
"Lydia Martin is your . . ." Theo trailed off for Liam to finish.
"Math tutor. With . . . Mason, my best friend." Theo smiled at the progress Liam was making. He was hesitating before answering each sentence.
"Malia Tate is . . ."
"A fr . . . iend? of . . . Lydia's. Lydia would tutor . . . both of us?" That one was obviously harder to remember because he and Malia didn't talk much one on one.
"Corey Bryant is your . . ."
"Best friend's . . . boy . . . friend?"
"I am . . ."
"That's easy. My roommate that I let move in with me after I found lived in his truck because his dad kicked him out. He never told me why because he was afraid I would kick him out as well even though I love him too much." He didn't seem to notice what he had said until he saw the look on Theo's face: a shocked look mixed with confusion.
"What?" Theo asked. He didn't think he heard him right.
Liam's looked terrified at what he had just said but he put on a brave look and boldly said, "I remember Theo because I love him."
Theo didn't hesitate for him to say anything before gripping Liam's face in his hands and kissing him passionately. Liam melted into the kiss. For some reason it seemed that every memory he had ever had that included Theo came rushing back to him. He remembered first meeting him when Scott had gotten into a fight and Theo came to help. He remembered the time he was walking home from practice and he found a familiar blue truck in the parking lot. He remembered looking inside and find Theo sleeping, wrapped in a worn blanket. He remembered tapping on the door relentlessly waking him up and offering (more like telling) him that he could live with him and his parents until he was able to go off to college.
He remembered everything, and the fact that he was kissing him made everything ten times better.
