It was years ago, a 12 year old Bree and her mother roamed the streets of the strange city that they were still getting used to. Bree held onto her younger sister's hand, both of the girls were excited their mother promised them that they would see their father today.

"Mommy can we go to the park after we see daddy." Riley swinged her sister's hand looking over at her mother

"Yes honey we can go to the park afterwards." The young woman smiled at her younger daughter.

"Yay!" Riley grinned showing her missing tooth

The woman had been so focused on getting where she needed to be she didn't notice the group of male gangbangers following her. "Damn babygirl you fine as fuck." One of the men creeped up behind her grabbing a handful of her butt.

"Leave shordy alone she got like two kids." Another man chuckled

The young woman didn't say or do anything she just speeded up her pace "Girls walk in front of mommy ok."

The little girls did as they were told walking ahead of their mother. "See you scaring ha' b." The man commented picking up his pace still hot on the young woman's trail.

"Can you please just leave me alone I have two daughters and they just wanna go to the park."

"We can't do that." He whipped out the gun pressing it against her head making her abruptly stop walking.

Bree gasped covering her little sister's eyes.

The clock striked three o'clock, the lime green dirt bike was parked outside the apartment complex. He pressed the cellphone against his ear. Bree flopped over on her side reaching for her cellphone.

"Wazzam baby? Put on some clothes and come outside fa' me."

She squinted her eyes at the light that projected from the cellphone "Shamar it's like three in the morning."

"I ain't ask fa' the time. Girl just come outside."

Bree hung up, she placed the cellphone back on the nightstand. She let out a breath sitting up. She guessed this was his thing, picking her up at wee hours of the morning driving where ever the road took them. That was fun but ever since what happened a few weeks ago, her biggest fear was leaving the house. For her to be robbed it had to mean that someone was spying on the young adult. She often wandered would she still get robbed if her so called boyfriend was there?

Bree jogged down the stairs, Shamar waved at her revving up the bike. Bree automatically shook her head, she hated dirt bikes or bikes of any kind. But she made her way over to him anyway "Where is your car? Shamar I'm not getting on this... thing."

"Is you scared?"

"I'm not scared, I just don't like.. bikes."

He reached out his hand "Step on that, Ima help you up."

Bree panicked a little before grabbing a hold of his hand following his instructions, she sat in front of him while he wrapped his arms around her and held the handle of the bike with the other. "Shamar are you sure you can drive this thing with one hand? This isn't safe."

"If i wasn't sure I wouldn't put you on here Bree."

Feeling the bike take off down the empty street Bree closed her eyes tightly, her heart pounded outside her chest. Shamar glanced at his girlfriend and then back at the road "Bree open ya' eyes i got chu girl."

"Youn gotta be scared i got chu." He tightened the grip on her waist popping the bike into the air. "Open ya' eyes."

His words replayed in her head I got chu girl.

"I never payed attention to the veiw your bedroom has of the city, its nice." Bree brushed her hand against the glass.

"Yea it does." He smiled flipping through pictures of his newborn.

Bree's eyebrows knitted together "What are you smiling at?"

"I'm lookin' at my baby, Sky."

With all that Bree had going on she completely forgot about Shamar and Maria's child. "Oh."

"You wanna see?"

Bree climbed into the bed "Sure, why not."

Shamar turned the phone, Bree's eyes widened she glanced at Shamar and then back at the picture "She's your twin."

"Mhm." He smiled nodding. "You ain't wearin' ya' bracelet?" He furrowed his eyebrows.

Bree froze, she thought he wasn't going to notice that the bracelet was gone. But that was hard when she wore it almost everyday. "A few days ago some woman  broke into my apartment she robbed me and mortified me." Her voice came out shaky.

"Why you ain't call me Bree? How did she get in? You sure it ain't somebody y'know? How she know whea' you live?" He bombarded her with questions.

"I don't know Shamar.. maybe this woman was following me, and i guess that night she made her move. I peed on myself Shamar i slept in the closet that night."

"She had a gun to my head."

"Bro on m-"

She cut him off "Shamar just please stop i don't like talking about things that already happened to me."
