Chapter 9

NEWT POV:

Thomas and I were shocked. "BUT THE GREENIE ALWAYS STARTS AS A BLOODY FARMER" I snapped. "Well Gally insisted and believes Thomas can be a good builder" said Alby. I frowned. "So uh, what do the builders do" asked Thomas nervously. "Build stuff" said Alby. I frowned. "Fine, but the farmers need more fence to grow crops on so the builders will have to build that" I said. "Okay but Thomas better work as a builder today" said Alby. He left. "Were they damaged or something" asked Thomas. "No, I just don't like the idea of you being alone with Gally. Especially after last night" I said. "Do you actually believe he would turn me" asked Thomas a little worried. "Maybe, but don't worry. As long as you aren't alone with him you should be okay" I said. We all heard something and looked around confused. The box? We all got up and ran towards it. I opened the gate and jumped down. "Newt what do you see" asked Frypan. "It's just a box of shots and medicine" I said confused looking up. "What does the note say"asked Gally.

I took the note off the box and opened it. I started reading. "Sorry but we forgot to send them up yesterday. Due to recent developments one of the gladers as you say needs them. It doesn't matter who but we will send them up every month from now on" I said. "What are those even for" asked Chuck. I more curious why WCKD would send up new medicine. Thomas stormed away. I climbed out of the box with the bag and the box closed. It started going back down. We put the medicine in the storage building for now. Why would WCKD send up testosterone shots?

THOMAS POV:

Shucking perfect. I sat down and continued eating breakfast. Everyone else came back and finished breakfast. "Tommy" asked Newt. "I don't want to talk about it" I said annoyed. Newt said nothing and we kept eating. After breakfast I had to work with the builders. We started carrying stuff over to the farm. I'm actually glad Newt decided to have the builders build by the farm. That way he can keep a eye on me and Gally. Everyone else was walking ahead of us. "By the way greenie, I don't care what Newt said. You can't be a human anymore" said Gally.

"It could kill me. I have, stuff that is wrong with my body" I said. "Well the only way it would was if you are a girl or have more estrogen then testosterone" said Gally. I said nothing and kept walking. I know I don't regret remembering everything but I wish I could change the past. Then Stephanie wouldn't exist but Newt also might not of called me Tommy. We made it to the farm and started building. I remember how to build from before the maze but I would still rather be a runner. "Hey greenie, go get some wood from the woods" said Gally. Newt and Gally had a stare down. Gally rolled his eyes and continued working. I entered the woods. I had a sword to cut the wood with. I found a few branches and kept looking. I stopped and saw Ben in front of me. "Where have you been everyone thinks, hey are you okay" I asked. Ben said nothing. I took a few steps back as Ben started to go crazy. He ran up and tackled me. "GET OFF ME" I yelled trying to push Ben off. He gabbed my arms and held them down. "You're a traitor Thomas" said Ben.
