Chapter 12

THOMAS POV: 

I decided to watch Ben be banished. If he says that Newt and Gally are half griever I would like the heads up. Mostly because I have seen Gally in p.e. before. Shank is probably still faster then me. All the keepers except Minho had poles. I still want to ask him if I could be a runner but not right now. Everyone else had spears. I stood with Chuck in the distance. Minho came with Ben. "Listen to me Minho" said Ben. "Ya I hear you shuck face" said Minho annoyed. I honestly don't believe anyone wants to banish Ben. "Alby" said Ben as they walked past him. Minho sat Ben on the ground and cut the rope that held his hands back. Minho seemed surprised and a little scared. Maybe its just because he is banishing a friend. I mean I assume they were friends. Minho walked up to the maze and threw the bag into the maze. Minho got out of the way as the wind came. "POLES" Alby yelled. Every one pointed their poles or spears at Ben. Ben stood up. "Open" said Alby. 

Every one started to push Ben in while the doors were closing. Ben kept yelling as he was pushed into the maze. "THOMAS CAN'T BE RUNNER, MAKE HIM A RUNNER MINHO" Ben yelled. The doors sealed shut and one final scream from Ben was heard. We were all silent and everyone looked at me. I said nothing and left. I don't know if that was worse or not. It was embarrassing though. Dinner was silent. There were a few whispers but that was it. I got my plate and sat down. Newt sat next to me. We didn't talk but Newt and I laid together in his hammock. 

NEWT POV: 

I have a feeling we were being watched. I'm just paranoid though. I slowly got up and laid Thomas back down. He opened his eyes. "Sorry did I wake you" I whisper. "No, I was already awake" said Thomas as he rubbed his eyes. He sat up and Gally walked up to us. "Where are you going" asked Thomas. "We have to go make sure the grievers took Ben" said Gally. "Well then let's go" said Thomas. "You can't go" said Gally. "What" asked Thomas. "He's right, this half griever business. Besides you need to sleep" I said. 

Thomas signed annoyed. "You don't sleep" he said crossing his arms. "Tommy I don't want to go and neither does Gally but you aren't going unless I can turn you into a half griever right now" I said crossing my arms. Thomas signed and put his arms down. He laid down in the hammock and I covered him up. Tommy closed his eyes and I kissed him on the forehead. "I'll be back soon Tommy" I said. "Good" said Thomas. I smiled and left with Gally. We climbed the wall and entered the maze. We started looking for Ben and later saw him get dragged of by a griever. "Well, he is gone" I said. "Now you can go fuck your boyfriend" said Gally leaving. I hit his arm. "Tommy and I just started dating today" I said angrily. "Then turn him into a half griever" said Gally. "NO, I mean I will but he isn't ready to become one" I said. "Well, I'll give him a month. If he isn't ready by then I will turn him myself" said Gally. "What is it with you and turning my boyfriend into a half griever" I asked. "I don't trust that shank" said Gally.
