I get home from school and head upstairs into the shower. After getting out I wrap a towel around my body and walk out into my room. Violet was sitting on my bed. She smiles as she puts her phone down.

"How was school? Was it boring?" She asked.

"Surprising it wasn't," I said. She giggles.

"You met a boy?" She said.

"Two actually," I said. She smiled like a kid in the candy store.

"Spill the tea." She said panting the spot next to her.

"You remember the hottie from last night?" I asked. She nodded. "Guess what?" I said.

"Please tell me he goes to our school." She said with her fingers crossed.

"He goes to our school," I said. She giggles.

"So who's the other hottie?" She asked.

"Ok, you know Miguel? That guy Gale warned up about?" I asked. She nodded. "He goes there too. And he actually talked to me." I said. She started bouncing on my bed.

"You are so lucky. I wish I can find me a hottie." She said.

"Speaking of hotties, what do you think of Gale?" I asked. She gave me a confused look.

"You think Gale's hot?" She asked.

"Do you?" I asked. Her face went a little red and she started twirling her head.

"Well no. I mean he's cute. But not hot. I mean he's hot but not hot hot." She said.

"Omg, Violet Jones you like him," I said.

"I do not." She said.

"You do too," I said. She rolled her eyes.

"So what if I do? I mean he doesn't like me back so whatever." I just smiled. "Do you really think he's hot?" She asked.

"No, I think he's cute but in a friend type of way. Why?" I asked.

"Well, I think he kinda likes you." She said. I burst out in laughter. "What?" She asked.

"What are we talking about?" Gale asked popping into the room. She looked at me.

"About how you abandoned me at school today. I had to find my classroom without your help." I said. He rolls his eyes.

"You found it didn't you?" He asked.

"Without your help," I said.

"And with the help of a certain hottie," Violet says.

"What 'hottie'?" He asked.

"Rico," Violet said slow. I pushed her.

"Shut up," I said. She giggled.

"You talked to him today?" Gale said.

"I kinda bumped into him," I said. Violet snorted and burst out in laughter.

"Your first day in college and you bump into a hot guy?" She asked. I pushed her off the bed but that didn't stop her from laughing.

"For your own good, you'll stay away from him and Miguel." He said. Violet got off the floor and took a deep breath.

"Oh come on Gale let her be. I mean how dangerous can two juniors in college be?" Violet asked. Gale looked at her. He shook his head.

"Don't say I didn't warn you." He said walking out. I looked at Violet and she bursts into laughter while walking out. I shake my head.

"I hate you," I yell at her.

"I love you too." She said. I let out a sigh and shut my door. I let the towel drop and slip on my underwear and bra. I put on some jeans and a crop top. I put a jacket on over that but kept it unzipped. I slipped on my Nike shoes and walked out of my room.

"Where are you going?" Gale asked as he passed me.

"Hotties house?" Violet said walking past him.

"For a walk," I said. They both snorted.

"You walk? Please, you don't walk unless you have too." Violet said.

"Yeah well new town to me," I said. She shakes her head.

"Whatever." She said. I walked down the steps and plug my headphones into my ears. I opened the door and walk out.

After an hour of walking, I ended up down by the beach. I sigh while sitting down on a rock. I just listen to the water and watch the sun go down. My rings and I answer it.

"Hello?" I said.

"Gale said to get home," Violet said chewing on something.

"I thought you two would appreciate the house to yourselves," I said. She snorts.

"Yeah, right he just sits in front of the TV watching sports. If he actually liked me like that he would pay some attention to me." She said.

"Alright, let him know I'm on my way back," I said.

"Kk." She said hanging up. I sighed getting up. As soon as I turn around I see Miguel disappearing behind a huge rock. My curiosity peaked and I walked over to where he went. I followed his footprints in the sand. As soon as I catch up to him I see him standing talking to someone.

I opened my mouth to say something until the guy he was talking to pulled out a knife. My heart raced. He lunged at Miguel. Miguel made small movements but ended up the one holding the knife. And the knife was plunged into the guy's chest. I was shocked.

I heard screaming and I soon realized it was me. I slapped my hand over my mouth and ran back the way I came. I got back to the rock I was sitting on. I was about to make a turbo run back to the house until a hand slapped over my mouth and an arm strapped around my waist.

"Stop squirming." He said. I recognized that voice. I looked over at my captor. Rico? I bit his hand and the hand that was covering my mouth dropped.

"Stay away from me," I said. His arm was still on my waist but I pulled out of his touch. "Gale was right about you both. You are dangerous. You're both murders." I said.

"Aria calm down." He said as Miguel comes from behind the rock. I took a step back. Miguel looked shocked.

"What the hell are you doing here?" He asked. I took another step back.

"Aria, stop moving," Rico said. I shook my head. I took a step back and there was no more ground under my feet. My back smacked into the water liquid and I went under. The waves came at me like traffic on the highway. I couldn't get up above the water to get air.

I was able to get out of the water for a split second and was back under. I started losing air. I gave up on trying to get back up when a pair of arms pulled me above the water. I gasped for air. I waited a few more seconds to get enough air to move.

I look over at the person to thank them. But to my surprise it was Miguel. He was shirtless and his shoes were off. He looked at me as he took deep breaths. I swallowed the lump in my throat and got up. I began walking away.

"That's it?" He asked. I stopped walking and turned to him now standing up. "I just saved your life and I don't get a thanks?" He asked. I turned back around and continued walking.

"That doesn't make up for what I just saw," I said.

"I could have left you for dead." He said. I turned to him.

"You should have," I said. He grew angry at that.

"Your right I should have. It would have made my life easier." He said. I felt my head pound and I started getting dizzy. "The lack of air is getting to your head." He said.

"I'm fine," I said. He rolled his eyes. I took a deep breath. "I just need to sit down," I said. I started to get blurry vision and I saw black.
