A Month Later

I got out of bed and walked downstairs to see Gale and Violet laughing in the kitchen. They both looked at me. "Good morning sleepy head," Violet said. I smiled.

"Yes, it is," I said.

"Wait why are you happy? I mean it's good but you haven't really been yourself lately." Gale said. I sighed.

"I finally feel like myself again. I was finally able to get a good nights rest." I said. They smiled.

"Just in time for the pool party," Violet said.

"What pool party?" I asked. Gale sighed while putting the orange juice away.

"My pool party. I'm throwing you two a party considering you got completely settled in yesterday. Think of it as a welcome to California." He said. I looked at Violet basically bouncing in her seat.

"Well, I'm gonna go shopping," I said. She squealed.

"Shopping!" She yelled. I rubbed my earlobe. She ran past me and up the stairs.

"I guess she's in," I said. Gale chuckled. "So this party isn't in any way just a reason to see a certain blond with my face in a bathing suit. Is it?" I asked.

"Not at all." He said sipping on his juice.

"Good because she wears bathing suits that show everything off. She even has one that is see-through." I said walking away. I heard him choke on his juice. I giggled walking up the steps.

"That's was a joke wasn't it?" He yelled.

"Maybe, maybe not," I yelled back. I opened my bedroom door and closed it.

Over the month I haven't seen Miguel. I saw Rico but I pretended I didn't know who he was and in return, he did the same. I stopped having flashbacks well kinda. I still haven't figured out why I'm not allowed to talk to Oscar but I don't. There was more to the story then Miguel was saying.

When we got to the mall I lost Violet immediately. She ran off to every store that caught her eye while I headed to the bathing suits. Once I finally found her I convinced her to go with me to the food court. And we order Chinese. "Hey, I'm gonna use the bathroom," I said.

Violet's P.O.V

I watch her get up and walk away. I shake my head at her as she almost runs into a kid. "Clumsy," I said. I look up and across the food court was a man. He was staring at me. I smile at him. That's when I realize it was Miguel Garcia.

I get up and stroll over to him. He looked surprised to see me walking up to him. "You're Miguel? Right?" I asked. He rolled his eyes.

"Is this your idea of a joke?" He asked.

"Nope," I said popping out the P.

"Aria is not playing your games today." He said. I burst out in laughter. "Why are you laughing?" He asked.

"I'm not Aria," I said still laughing. He rolled his eyes.

"Whatever." He said getting ready to leave.

"Let me introduce myself," I said holding out my hand. "I'm Violet. Aria's twin sister." I said. He looked shocked.

"Huh?" He asked. I dropped my hand.

"I know crazy huh? We look exactly alike." I said. He searched my eyes. "Do you always stare at Aria the way you were staring at me?" I asked.

"I don't know what you mean." He said. I rolled my eyes.

"Omg, you like her," I said.

"Om- what?" He asked.

"You do," I said.

"Listen Aria or Violet whoever you are. I have no idea what you're saying I don't even know if that's English." He said. I giggled. He scanned me. "You don't have the same laugh she does." He said.

"I didn't say we were the same people," I said. He looked at me a little longer. "Wait, did you say her laugh? You are worse then I thought." I said. He sighed. I got an idea. "We're having a pool party you should come," I said.

"I might show up. Can you do me a favor and don't tell Aria I was here?" He asked. I nod as he walks away.

"I'm so going too," I said turning away.  I skip over to my chair. Aria returns moments later. "Hey, Sis. You know you never explained what happened that night Miguel answered your phone." I said.

"Who?" She asked.

"Nice try honey but eyes as brown as his and a body like that? It's hard to forget." I said. She scanned my face.

"Why are you bringing this up?" She asked.

"I don't know. So are you guys like dating or something?" I asked. She nearly choked on her pop.

"Yeah, right. I don't even know the guy." She said. I sighed.

"Hmm?" I said. She watched me.

"What do you know?" She asked.

"Oh, nothing. Just that I just talked to him." I said.

"Wait!?" She yelled gaining a few head turns.

"Chill," I said biting into my orange chicken.

"Tell me what happened." She said. I rolled my eyes.

"I walked up to him. He thought I was you. Spoke to me like you two have a history. I laughed and he noticed my laugh isn't the same as yours." I said.

"He noticed that?" She asked. I nodded.

"I think he likes you," I said. Her face turned a little pink.

"I don't care." She said twirling her hair.

"Aria?" I said. She hummed at a response. "You're twirling your hair," I said. She looked at her hand dropped it.

"Ok, maybe I do. He is just so mysterious and secretive. I mean we talked once before but he didn't say much." She said.

"And the night he answered your phone?" I asked.

"He kinda saved my life." She said.

"Wait!? When!? Where!? How!?" I asked all at once. She giggled.

"That night I went for a run I ended uh falling off a builder and I couldn't get to the surface to get air. He jumped in after me and saved me." She said.

"That's heroic. You know I knew something was wrong with you. I just got this feeling in my gut." I said. She looked at me like I grew a second head. "Oh, it's weird? We're twins. Made we have that twin thing." I said.  She rolled her eyes.

"Twin telepathy." She said. I sip on my soda.

"Yes exactly," I said.

"Maybe." She said.

"It's possible right?" I asked.

"Yeah." She said.
