Makena was once again left alone to her own thoughts. Her vacant gaze wandered around the empty bar while the strong stench of whiskey filled her nostrils. She oddly found comfort in this bar, not to sound like an alcoholic. She loved hearing stories of love and heartache from people who came and went.

Lost in her trance, a deep breath escaped her nose, her eyes fluttered over to the photographs on the wall. There she was met with a small black and white picture of none other than Klaus Mikaelson. A surprised gasp left her lips as she walked closer to inspect it, he stood tall and cheery with an arm draped around Marcel.

His hair was slicked back and he was dressed up in a tuxedo, they were amongst many others in a crowd. A show perhaps? He looked so happy, she noticed a year at the bottom as she slowly placed a finger on it.

"1919, dreadful year." The bitchy voice she had grown to love could be heard. Makena turned suddenly locking eyes with Rebekah, "hello darling" she smiled pulling Kenna into a small hug.

"I thought you were skipping town?" Kenna rose an eyebrow pulling back from the hug, she was a little pissed Rebekah didn't say goodbye.

"Well you know I can't keep away from family drama, what are you still doing here? I would have imagined you'd leave town as soon as you killed your father." Rebekah called as she strutted over to the bar pouring herself a bourbon, cursing quietly as she accidentally spilled it.

"Truthfully? I don't know why I'm still here." She sighed grabbing a damp rag and cleaning up the bourbon "Despite distant relatives being around every corner, it's nice seeing Marcel again and a steady job always helps I guess."

Rebekah smiles at the witch before necking down her drink and handing it to Kenna. She leaned back on her chair slightly to look out the window, her eyes scanning the surprisingly empty streets, "I can't seem to find anybody today, do you happen to know where Marcel is, a small location spell perhaps?" Rebekah questioned.

Kenna laughed placing the glass on the side, she pulled out her phone checking recent messages, "need to find him that desperately huh?" She smirked at the blonde who gave her a small glare, "I'm kidding! His at the church seeing Davina" the vampire gave a quick quiet thank you before leaving the bar.

Kenna debated texting her human friend Cami, she hasn't seen the blond since confessing she was a witch. Before she knew it her fingers began typing a simple message. A sharp burning sensation struck her head forcing her phone out of her hand and to the floor.

She pressed her hand harshly to her forehead to help relieve the suspected migraine. Her eyes felt as though they were about to fall out of her head, a small drop of blood fell onto her lap. Kenna gasped racing to the nearest mirror in the bathroom, blood began to stream down her face, leaking from her eyes and ears.

"What do you want!" Kenna cried, she held her hands up in defeat screaming so the ancestors could hear, "PLEASE STOP"

Kenna fumbled through her tears turning on the taps trying to wash her face, she was a mess.

"Protect the child" an entity whispered into her ear, it sounded all to familiar. The sweet warm mother like voice continued, "don't forget me Makena, repay me by protecting the child"

Kenna winced as the oddly shaped birthmark on her wrist began to burn, she looked up to the ceiling, her eyes clouded with with the stinging feeling of tears, "mum?" She whispered begging for a response.

Instead her mind flooded with images. Kenna saw the inside of a car, Hayley was bound by her wrists and ankles she looks frightened when she saw the man who kidnapped her, "Tyler?!" Hayley called looking puzzled recognising the man. Makena tried to piece the pictures together to make sense of them, she knew her mum was trying to give her a sign. There was a house, Hayley's there and there's two men... ones a hybrid? They're both hybrids, she shook her head. 'Tyler' was holding a knife crouching down to Hayley's level.

"I don't know where that is!" Kenna called to the entity, she knew it was the bayou, she'd already done the locator spell.

Kenna could see the house in her mind, it was old and cosy. There was crackled wood that had been used as a campfire and a lake nearby.

"Find them" the voice whispered once more. Kenna's heart was running haywire as she sprinted to the door, she flipped the sign to closed before leaving.

"Shit" she uttered under her breath realising she had forgotten her phone, she decided to leave it, unlocking her car and climbing inside.

Kenna sped towards the bayou slowing down every time she thought she saw the cops. Time was her biggest enemy as she pulled up alongside the woods. She climbed out slamming the car door behind her.

"Hayley!" She shouted running through the woods, the scene felt too familiar. She tried to shut out the thoughts of Klaus saving her when she was shot in the woods but it seemed impossible, it plagued her mind.

Kenna's legs felt numb as she ran through the woods, she looked over her shoulder slightly after hearing a crunch before running into something an jolting backwards onto the ground.

"I certainly didn't expect to be running into you sweetheart" Klaus' soft English accent calmed Kenna's mind which was going into a frenzy of thoughts.

"Klaus, thank god." She sighed with relief looking into his blue eyes.

"Go home Kenna Makena" he spoke almost harshly but out of care for her wellbeing, he stretched out a hand towards the witch and she reluctantly took it.

"Trust me I was, but the craziest thing happened..." she began thinking back to her mothers voice, "I need to find Hayley" Kenna sounded desperate brushing off the dirt from her jeans.

"She's safe, Elijah is with her." He reasured her looking around the woods, "come by my house later Makena, theres somebody I need to take care of first"

Kenna watched as Klaus sped away into the woods, she sat for a few moments regaining her breath, "well mum? What your point in all of this!" She called scrunching up leaves and throwing them.

Her head fell into her hands, she didn't know where Hayley was or what the point of this was.

Kenna snaps her head up hearing a crunch of twigs once more, "hello?" She spoke wearily, her mouth parted when she saw a brown grey wolf tred slowly from behind a tree.

Kenna sat calmy trying not to scare the creature infront of her, the wolfs demeaner didnt seem threatening as it crept closer towards the girl. Unsure on how to respond Kenna held out a hand towards him, she didnt know how she knew it was a male, she could just sense it.

The wolf gently pressed its head against Kenna's hand causing her to let out a shakey breath. She slowly ran the back of her hand across the wolfs cheek, his eyes looked hopeful and calm. She rememebered all the stories Marcel told her about the cursed wolfs he had banished all those years ago.

The wolf backed away slightly keeping an eye on the girl almost as though it was waiting for her to follow him. She stood up following the creature who led her out of the forrest.

"Kenna!" Hayley shouted running towards the girl, the young witch squealed falling into into her arms.

"Oh my god i'm so glad I found you, the craziest thing just happend to me" Kenna looking back, her smile faded slightly noticing the wolf was gone. That was strange.
