A/N- Guys I just posted my first chapter on my new Damon book 'Fade away' !! It would be so cool if you guys could check it out, thank you!

I was completely engrossed in the book resting on my lap, I was too emotionally drained to even comprehend what to do about everything going on.

"Love?" The harsh yet soft English voice rang through my ears. Keeping my breathing steady I shut my book and turned to face him. I can't let him know I'm upset, "what are you reading?" He asks with a curious smile as he motions towards the book I had placed beside me.

"Lord of the flies." I replied coldly.

His smile fell for a moment at my sudden rejection before snatching the book beside me.

"I pictured you to be a soppy romance lover," He grinned taking the book and analysing the cover, "what's it about?"

I roll my eyes snatching it back off him, "You mean to tell me you have lived for over a thousand years and you don't know what lord of the flies is?" I unintentionally laugh, noticing his unamused look. I swallow the lump in my throat as my lips part to speak.

"Well, it's about a group of school boys fighting for survival after crashing on an island. They are completely divided; Ralph wants to go back to how life was..." I explain scanning Klaus' facial expressions, "but Jack craves power and intends to gain it through acts of violence. Although his cruel and barbaric actions define him through out the story, deep down I think he wishes he could go back to simpler times. I'm sure you can appreciate the irony."

Klaus looks down for a moment untangling the hint, his ice blue eyes meeting mine. I can't help but notice his jaw clench slightly sending a shiver down my spine.

"Kenna, I'm sorry for how I've treated you these past few months." He apologised. I wasn't sure what to make of his words but he did seem remorseful. "To make it up to you, can I perhaps give you a tour around New Orleans?"

His eyebrow rose slightly waiting for an answer. I tried to hold down the snigger and strong urge to remind him I grew up here but I appreciated his efforts.

"If you want to earn my forgiveness, start of by not killing the wolves. We don't need anymore bloodshed." I bargained or almost pleaded with the hybrid.

A perplexing look washed over his face at my sudden interest with the wolves and their well-being.

"I presumed killing the wolves would benefit the witches?" He took a step closer, my breathing quivered slightly.
