The cool breeze brushed through Kenna's wavy brown locks effortlessly. She sat on a log watching Tyler walk back towards her holding up a pair of boxing pads.
"You have got to be kidding me, you brought me out here to teach me how to punch?" she rolled her eyes standing up.
"I'm helping you protect yourself from people like Klaus" He held up the boxing pads waiting for Kenna to make her move.
Kenna grumbled quietly before sending a punch straight into Tyler's chest, "I don't need protection from Klaus"
"Ah!" Tyler groaned, folding over and holding his chest, "my mistake, I thought you was the siphon Klaus handed over to her father to be slaughtered" Tyler snapped sarcastically through gritted teeth.
Kenna narrowed her eyes at the wolf in front of her "I don't know how you know that but I suggest you shut up" she responded pulling him up from the ground.
"I've been speaking to the witches, I was trying to learn about that baby and I learnt some extra information" he smirked slightly rubbing his chest slightly.
"Extra information meaning me, creep" she muttered, "come on, if you wanna teach me to fight, loose the boxing stuff" Kenna beckoned him as she lunged forward grabbing the pads and tossing them to the ground, Tyler held up his fists and they began to circle each other.
"Are you forgetting that I'm part vampire?" Tyler tilts his head.
"I guess you'll have to go easy on me then" Kenna shrugged, she went to kick him in the chest but he grabbed her leg pulling her to the ground with a thump, "hey! I said go easy"
"That's not how it works in the real world little wolf" he lectured pulling her up from the dirt.
"Screw this" Kenna sighed sitting on the log, she stares off into the woods taking in the scenery. The leaves were a beautiful brownish hold with a hint of orange while the trees stood tall and strong.
"Something about the forest is comforting, right?" Tyler spoke standing in front of her with his arms folded.
"I don't want to turn" she finally spoke, "I don't want any of this, I'm 20 years old Tyler" she refused to make eye contact with him continuing to analyse the hundreds of leaves.
"I didn't either, I was 17 when a bitch named Katherine tricked me into killing somebody and I triggered the curse. Then to top it all off Klaus turned me into a hybrid" Tyler shrugged not really wanting to get into his story, "it's only bad the first time Kenna"
Her eyes fluttered shut as she inhaled deeply, she shook her head slightly before finally facing towards him.
"Nobody knows what I am, they all think I'm a bastard siphon witch and when you go I'll be alone with my secret again" she spoke softly, "when I turn, my pack becomes human so even then I have nobody... look at me now, confining in the guy who tried to kill a baby" she laughed at her own idiocy.
Tyler hummed understanding the girl, he completely disregarded her traitor comment, "look I have some business I need to take care of, you might think I'm a bad guy but I want to help so if you ever need me call me okay? I know loads of wolves that would be willing to help"
She looked away for a moment contemplating what he said "okay" she said nodding facing him.
"Perfect, well I have to go" he replied awkwardly, this whole encounter was strange yet... needed? He understood what she was going through and she had nobody else to tell.
"Please leave Hayley alone" she pleaded with him as she scanned his face, his smile faded.
"You know what that baby is, it will kill us all" he spoke lowly.
"It's a baby Tyler!" She screwed her face is disgust, "I'm also a crossbreed supernatural creature or did you just happen to forget that?" Kenna scoffed turning her back to him.
She waited a few moments letting out a deep breath before turning around, she groans in frustration when she realises the hybrid was gone.
"Uh? What a dick!" She throws her hands in the air before finding her way out the forest.
Mikaelson Mansion
"They have all forsaken me." Klaus spoke slowly while pouring himself a glass of bourbon, Cami sits silently tapping away at a typewriter while mentally judging Klaus.
"My siblings are as deceitful in disease just as my parents ever were. Accusing me of using my baby for my own gain, trusting others before their own blood." He narrows his eyes, angrily sipping his drink.
"Would a laptop kill you?" Cami spoke in frustration.
"That typewriter was good enough for Hemingway." Klaus rose an eyebrow taking a step towards the blonde human.
"I see the resemblance. Booze and random acts of violence." Cami muttered waiting for Klaus to start talking again.
"Elijah and Rebekah were quick with their vicious lies about me. And all I've done is tried to win this battle of will over Marcel's control of the Quarter in order to reclaim our home... but Kenna, my sweet beautiful Makena" Klaus begins before looking at Cami who has lost interest, aimlessly looking around the dull room "Type, please!"
Cami shoots Klaus with a glare, "What's the point? You just repeat the same thing over and over again. Rebekah's out to get you. Elijah's out to get you. Is there anyone who isn't plotting your downfall? I doubt you trust your own reflection. Let's not forget your endless monologues of 'oh my sweet Makena' you tried to kill her!"
Klaus stares at the blonde in front of him in utter shock at her sudden outburst, "she forgives me... and if the daggers weren't missing, I would put one in each of their hearts. Rid myself of the burden of my siblings for a couple of centuries." He grumbles lowly, clenches his fists lightly.
"Look at you! Repeating the same destructive cycles over and over again. You are the architect of your own unhappiness! You might think Kenna forgives you but how could she, I know I wouldn't... ever!" Cami raises her voice standing up and placing her hands on the table.
Klaus sits down on a nearby chair, "she is the antidote to my poisonous, broken life and I need her so badly Camille, call me me ridiculous and lovestruck but she is the most beautiful creature I've ever seen and I regret all my wrong doings" he mutters.
"You're confessing your impossible love to the wrong person Klaus, the truth is, you compelled me to come here because you have no one else to talk to, and you want to be understood. Then, you compel me to forget everything as soon as I leave your presence because you are too scared to trust." She scoffs grabbing her bag and heading towards the door.
"I'm scared of nothing!" He calls after her glancing at a piece of paper on the desk and grabbing it eagerly, "what's this?" He questions holding up the strange looking symbol.
"It's an ancient mystical plot I'm using to destroy you." Cami responds plainly uncrossing her arms, "relax it's a tattoo design" she rolls her eyes snatching the paper from him after noticing his frustration.
"Draw in your own time" he spoke agitated.
"This is my time. You steal it from me to yearn desperately for a girl, my best friend, who you will never have!" Cami yells angrily slamming the door behind her leaving klaus who sat with his mouth gaping slightly.
