The title pretty much says it all..
*Scott's POV*
*Sunday*
I got onto my dirt bike and drove to Stiles house. Today were our Lacrosse try-outs and I was really nervous. I was tired of siting on the bench and not doing anything. Tired of watching other people do what I wanted to do.
Stiles was running to his Jeep in a hurry when he spotted me.
"You follow, I drive!" he yelled out.
I nodded and waited for him to advance.
*A few minutes later*
We arrived at the school to already see a few kids warming up on the field.
"Well, let's destroy this." Stiles tuck his bag out of his Jeep and walked to the locker room.
"Yeah." I muttered back.
We got dressed in our gear then moved on to do some simple warm ups.
I was up first as goalie, and I hated being goalie. It's not even what I practiced for!
"But couch, I- I don't play goalie. It's not my area."
"You play whatever is instructed to you McCall. Now get on out there and prove you're worth something." He blew his whistle at me and I ran out to the net.
*Stiles POV*
Scott was killing it! He caught every single ball thrown at him, it was like watching a lacrosse ninja. BAM! BAM! BAM! Oh what? I don't think so! BAM! I cheered for him every time, yelling out, "That's my friend!" to random people.
"Stilinski you're up!"
I stopped cheering for Scott when I heard Coach call my name. I froze and felt a knot form in my throat. Well, here we go. The moment of truth.
I put on my helmet and held onto my stick like it was gold and someone would steal it at any second. I stopped a few feet away from Scott, he gave me a crooked smile then mouthed the words, "You got this buddy."
I took in a shaky breath, keeping my eyes on the part of the net I would make the ball into.
1...2...3...
*Whistle*
*After School*
Three days left until the big game, until the full moon.
I need to tell him, no matter what he thinks. He needs to know. I skipped my house and instead drove to Scott's.
I got out of the car and made my way to his porch, where his mother was actually walking out of.
"Hello there Scott's mom!" I waved and smiled.
"Hey, what are you doing here so late Scott's friend?"
"I... uhhh... we, have some studying to do. Me and Scott. Scott and I." I gestured towards the house.
"Interesting. For what?"
"Huh?" She got me.
"Whats the studying for?"
"English. Got to go we're wasting time out here. Have a good day!" I zoomed past her before she could responed and ran into the house.
I walked up stairs to Scott's room and found him on his computer, playing a game.
"Scott you're grounded," I tried imitating his mom.
He looked up at me with an arched eyebrow that said "really?"
"Anyways," I sat on his bed and got right into the subject.
"Scott, you were bitten by a wolf. And I know you can't just get that good at Lacrosse all of a sudden. Even though I didn't give that part much thought. But you had some ninja stuff going on. So, on Tuesday when we have our game... I don't think you should play." I waited for him to take everything in.
*Scott's POV from the day after the bite*
I had all the energy in the world all of a sudden. I ran home today and didn't even have to stop once! My medication was really doing it's job.
But the thing is, I've been hearing and smelling things I'm not suppose to be hearing and smelling unless I was a dog or something. I heard my mom's phone call yesterday when I got home, both sides of it. And I smelled some of Brenda's mints that were in her locker. The thing is, I was all the way downstairs, when her locker was three floors up. I knew it was her locker because I also smelled her, as weird as it sounds.
Strange things have been happening, but I just decided to not even pay them any attention. That is until I was getting stalked by some 20year old dude.
I saw him almost everywhere I went, but mostly at the lacrosse field at school. He just watched me with an angry and curious expression.
The animals at the clinic started to act up and so did Lydia's dog. All animals loved me! So I tuck that one to heart.
And it all went back to that night in the woods. Could it be? I surly hope not, because if I was one of those, one of those beast. The full moon was only three days away.
And it would come to haunt me every month.
For the rest of my sorry life.
*Previous moment, Stiles POV*
He looked at me with a look of fear in his eyes.
"No, I'm playing and that's it." he said as he went back to his game.
"Scott you're not listening! If this myth is true, if you're a werewolf, you will be uncontrollable and you'll go on a killing spree!" I yelled, a small piece of me was slowly believing that Scott was indeed a werewolf.
"I'm not a stupid werewolf Stiles! Werewolf's, are not, real!" He said slowly, a lace of threat in his voice.
"Scott listen to me. You aren't thinking straight, you can't think about yourself and-"
"No, Stiles you're not listening! I'm going to play and that's that!"
"I think it's better you listen to your friend Scott." I heard an unknown voice say from the window.
