(Y/N)'s POV (13 years ago)

Right from the start, I didn't understand these feelings.
We became friends but didn't become lovers in the end,
I accepted it before and satisfied with just that.
It was enough to be with you, even if it's ending just as friends,

"Hey (Y/N)! What the hell are you staring at?" Yugo shouted snapping me out of my daze. I shook my head and stood up from my seat.

"It's nothing," I flatly said as I made my way up to the rooftop. Yugo looked at Lucas in confusion making the redhead sigh and pinch the bridge of his nose.

"I'll talk to (Y/N)... you go catch up with Dina and the others," he said as the two went to separate directions.

As I felt the refreshing breeze on me, I heard the door open and close. I opened my eyes and saw Lucas taking a seat beside me.

"So, is something bothering you?" he asked. I straightened my seat and took a deep breath.

"I'm... I think... um... I like... someone..." I stumbled as I felt my face heat up. Lucas was surprised but was engaged in the conversation.

"R-really? Who's the lucky guy?" he asked (even though he already has an idea on who it is).

"You don't need to know!" I said as I covered my face with my hands. He rolled his eyes and took off my hands.

"(Y/N), we've been best friends since we were, like three. I have the right to know," he said making me groan.

"It's... Yugo..." I mumbled and instantly regretted it. I glanced at Lucas and expecting a reaction but I didn't get any.

Maybe I did fall for you, that's right.
But I'm not even hoping,

It wasn't on purpose,
But I already know,
That this is the end.

"What? Nothing? Seriously?" I asked in confusion.

"Well, duh. It's pretty obvious... To me at least..." he answered but I couldn't hear the last part.

"What, really!? Crap! Does Yugo know!?" I asked in a panic. Lucas stood up and put a hand over my shoulder.

"Relax, that guy can become as dense as a rock. You'll be fine," He reassured. I sighed in relief and heard someone shouting from below. We looked down and saw Yugo and the others eating lunch in the fields. What caught my eye was how close Yugo and Dina were. They were sitting beside each other and laughing. I felt a pang in my chest and looked away.

"Why do I even bother?" I breathed out as I sat down and hugged my knees. Lucas went beside me and put an arm over my shoulder. 

"You shouldn't bottle up your feelings (Y/N)," he said as I shook my head and give him a sad smile.
