(Y/N)'s POV

"That's it for today," one of the scientists said as he put down a bed on the opposite side of mine and I nodded in response. When the lights went out, I sighed in relief and plopped down on my bed.

'A new roommate, huh?' I thought as I held my pillow close to my chest as memories of Grace Field flashed in my head. 'Please be safe...' I thought as I gripped on my pillow. Knocks on my door stopped my train of thought as I wiped away my tears.

"Come in," I said in a monotonous tone as I sat up. The door opened, showing Mr. Ratri and a small figure beside him, but I couldn't tell since they were against the light.

"(Y/N), we have someone we'd want you to meet, I believe you both came from the same plantation?" Mr. Ratri said, catching the boys attention.

"(Y/N)?" a familiar voice repeated, I adjusted my eyes and saw the small figure had white hair and blue eyes.

"Norman?" I asked as I took a closer look.

"I see you two do know each other," Mr. Ratri said with a secretive smile. "Norman's going to be the head researcher of you since you've been denying the rest..." he explained, his voice getting softer at the last part. "I hope you get favorable results, Norman," he wished him luck and left.

"So Mr. Ratri adopted you as his 'son' too, huh?" I asked and he nodded. "How's Ray and the others?" I asked, making the boy silent for a moment.

"He... didn't take your shipment quite okay..." he answered as I felt a pang of guilt in my chest.

"W-what happened?" I asked. He took a deep breath and looked at me straight in the eyes.

"You weren't there, (Y/N)... He became depressed and wouldn't talk to anyone. He would trap himself in the library and look at your photo every time. Even when he goes to sleep, he's holding ̶a̶ ̶p̶i̶e̶c̶e̶ ̶o̶f̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶c̶l̶o̶t̶h̶i̶n̶g̶ your shirt (A/N: You heathens) to soothe him... he even...-" he continued, as I felt tears falling from my eyes.

"A-ah, sorry... I didn't even realize I've..." I muttered as tears continued to fall.

"(Y/N)..." Norman said as he went to my side and wiped away my tears.

"I-I miss him, Norman... I miss everyone... I want to see them so much..." I cried on his shirt as he rubbed my back.

"They miss you too, (Y/N)... Don't worry, we'll meet them again... no matter what... but you have to stay strong," Norman promised as I sniffed.

"Okay... I trust you, Norman..." I said and wiped away my tears.

"So, we need you to help us-"

"-(Y/N)!" voices called out and I saw Jin and Hayato bust into Norman's office.

"A-ah! Boss! Sorry!" they apologized and quickly bowed. 

"What's wrong?" I asked as I hopped down from Norman's desk.

"U-umm... it's almost time to go look for more escapees!" Jin answered.

"You two go on ahead without (Y/N), we need them for our raid tonight," Norman answered, making the two boys stand up abruptly.
