A/N- Yay guys I'm #27 in Bondi rescue that's mad as so thank you so much because my comments and votes have increased amazingly and my views having doubled in two days!
~*Lilly's POV*
I woke up to my alarm blaring in the side of my ear. I groaned banging the off button on the top of the alarm. My eyes fluttered open, reaching my arms up as I stretched my back and neck.
I yawned glancing to my left seeing Maddie wasn't there. I slid out of bed and walked into the kitchen to see a note on top of a container of pancakes.
'Hey Lil,
I made some pancakes before you woke up so eat up! I had to leave early for work but text me or call me if you need anything!!
Love you!
~ Maddie x'I smiled opening the container the smell of freshly made pancakes filling my nose. She must've only left in the last 10 or 20 minutes because they were still warm. I threw some in my mouth as I made my way to the bathroom.
It felt like I lived on my own because James was working 24/7 or either catching up on sleep from work so I barely ever saw him.
I turned on the shower waiting for it to heat up. I got under the shower quickly washing my hair, body and brushing my teeth. I splashed my face with cold water once I got out to wake me up.
I threw my lifeguard shirt and shorts on with my yellow bikini underneath
I brushed my knotty hair before leaving my apartment. This was going to be the longest day and I was really hoping it was busy to distract me from my shitty thoughts about Harrison.
I shook my head, leaving the elevator, as I tried getting Harrison and Chloe's face out of mind. I needed to move on.
I walked down besides the beach along the path taking in the beautiful view. Although, a lot of bad shit has happened ever since I've moved here I'm so glad I got away from that shit hole.
Families were swimming and making sandcastles, backpackers tanned until they were brown and locals surged in the back rip. I opened the door to the tower making my way inside. I was really praying that Harrison wasn't working.
I turned the corner to see Reidy sitting on the seat to look over the beach. "Hey Reidy" I spoke making him jump in fright. "Shit Lilly you scared me" he said spinning around. I gave him a fake smile not wanting to get asked about Harrison.
I love Maxi but I know he wouldn't keep his mouth shut about this.
"Are you- Okay?" He asked with genuineness. I stared at him contemplating whether to tell him I truly wasn't okay or to just lie.
"I'm fine" I said nodding my head up and down before looking elsewhere.
He stared at me for a few seconds as if he was analysing me.
"So... who's on?" I asked just wanting to know if I would be working with Harrison today.
"Umm.. Harrison's on" he said knowing what I was thinking. I sighed heavily before nodding.
I grabbed a radio putting it in my pocket before asking Reidy where I was placed.
"Your at Southside with Jesse" he said making me nod. At least I was not near Harrison.
I put my bag in my locker before opening the door and walking out. I ran into a hard presence making me bounce back and almost fall. I looked up and saw Harrison standing there staring over me.
My jaw quivered slightly as I pushed past him before sprinting down the stairs. I began my long walk towards the Southend Rhino where Jesse was sitting.
After 5 minutes I finally made it to the Rhino, plopping myself down beside him. "Hey kiddo" he said ruffling my hair. "Jesse your 2 years older than me" I said chuckling. He shrugged before examining me. "What?" I asked looking away and at the water.
"You look like you've been crying" he stared as he continued to stare. "Yea maxi would've told you already" I said rolling my eyes as I focused my attention onto the water
"What?" He asked confused.
Oh shit. Maybe Maxi had only to Reidy.
"Nothing" I quickly said wanting this conversation to be over with. This was not how to move on from someone.
"No no no. You HAVE to tell me now. If Maxi knows then you have to tell me. That's favouritism" he said laughing, not realising how bad it was.
I knew Jesse and I were close as friends and he would already be mad at Harrison for this, but Jesse has major anger issues. I didn't want to start a brawl between them.
"It's not a big deal. It's really nothing. Seriously it's not-" I stalled trying to find a way to change the subject. "Lilly tell me" He said sternly.
I gulped nodding. "So you know Harrison and I's thing we have..." I started as he nodded in response. "Well it's over" I said looking away from him and onto the water.
He was silent for a while before I heard him pipe up. "Why?" He asked. I really hoped he would've not purged in and left it at that but knowing Jesse he wouldn't.
"Uh- umm. Him and Chloe. Are still kinda umm. Dating?" I said as if it where a question.
"What?" He asked as if I didn't hear me. "Yea he thinks Maxi and I are together for some reason. Then he told me to get out and called me a whore. Then Chloe posted this photo and-" I said beginning to ramble but he stopped me by putting a hand over my mouth.
"Wait. Did you just say he called you a whore" he said through gritted teeth.
"Uhh. Yea but it's fine" I said trying not to cry as the memory of it reoccurred.
"No. It's not fucking fine. That's disrespectful. Your an amazing girl Lilly and he treated you like shit" he said shaking his head with a disgusted face.
"Jesse it's okay" I whispered putting my hand on his shoulder.
He took a deep breath before standing up.
"I'm going on my break" he said sarcastically with a smug smile before stomping of in the direction of the tower.
Oh shit. Harrison was on his break.
