*Lilly's POV*

It was hard to get to sleep that night knowing I'd lost the guy I'd loved deeply. I'd woken up at 6 am to my alarm blaring loudly in my ear.

I groaned as I smashed it off. I peeled my eyes open, difficultly as I'd cried my self to sleep. The sunrise peeking into my room from the curtains.

Today I was going to pack myself a suitcase and drive back to Bathurst. I needed to sort my thoughts out and move on from Harrison. I just wanting everything to be normal again.

I slid out of bed, throwing on a pair of tights with a loose band tee. I grabbed a few pairs of clothing items, shoving them into my suitcase followed by some makeup and bathroom utilities.

I heard a knock on my bedroom door as I zipped up my suit case. "Come in" I yelled not thinking that it could possibly be a kidnapped or killer.

"Hey your not working today?" James said as he sat on my bed.

"No. Um I'm going back home to Bathurst for 2 weeks. I just haven't been myself lately" I said avoiding eye contact.

"Wait- What? Your leaving?" He said standing up.

"Yea only for two weeks. I'll still pay for rent and stuff. I just need to get away" I said finally making eye contact with my brother, who was staring back at me sympathetically.

"You mean get away from Harrison" he spoke making me look at him surprised. "You don't think I haven't heard you crying yourself to sleep for the past few days" he said making me sigh. "And Maddie told me... she was really worried" he said making me nod in understandment.

"I'll miss you sis. I really hope you feel better. Because you deserve the best" he spoke lowly pulling me into a hug.

James and I were rarely up front about caring and wanting the best for each other. Deep down we always cared but it was a rare occasion to actually see it displayed.

"Well I'm gonna head down and begin my long drive. I'll be back in 2 weeks" I said smiling nervously.

"I'll see you then" he said walking back to his room. I rolled my suit case down the hall and out of my apartment.

I pressed the elevator button as I waited for the doors to open. The doors soon opened to an empty elevator. I walked in rolling my suitcase beside me. I pressed the ground floor as the elevator went down and opened at the ground floor.

I walked out looking down at my phone as I rolled my suitcase behind me.

I bumped into a hard chest making me stumble backwards. "Shit sorry" I said looking up to see Harrison.

"Um. Hey" he said as Chloe stood beside him twirling her blonde dead hair.

"Hi" I said before pushing past him. Just because I said I would try be normal with him again doesn't mean I was going to be content being around Chloe as well.

"Hey" He said grabbing my arm. I looked up at him raising my eyebrows questioningly.

"Are you leaving today?" He whispered not wanting Chloe to hear. My eyes flicked to hers; her standing there looking at me with a smug evil smirk.

I nodded before turning away and walking out the front door. I could hear footsteps behind me.

"Lilly wait. I thought we were trying to be normal again?" He asked grabbing my arm again.

"Harrison! I said I would try be normal. I said I would TRY to be normal. You can't expect me to talk to you with her by your side as if nothing happened between us" I hissed out yanking my hand away from him.

I threw my suitcase in my backseat before quickly hopping into the drivers seat.

I quickly reversed, wanting to get away from them.

I needed to get out of here.

It had been a long 2 hour drive but I finally made it just before 10am. I pulled into the familiar driveway as I stopped my car.

I hadn't told my mum what had happened or that I was coming back. Ever since she got with her new boyfriend I was her last priority and she just wasn't the same.

I sighed hopping out, grabbing my suitcase and wheeling it towards the front door.

I knocked a few times taking a deep breath. I heard the door unlock before it swung open revealing a confused looking mother.

"Lilly? What are you doing here?" She asked in confusion. "I... I missed you and this place. So I thought I'd visit. Just for two weeks" I lied.

"Oh. Um. Okay?" She said more of a question than a statement. Trust my mum not give a shit about her daughter. She probably didn't even realise James and I were gone.

She stood to the side waiting for me to enter. I walked in the place looking almost the exact same as when I left.

She walked down the hallway and towards her bedroom without another word. Obviously to go fuck her boyfriend.

I rolled my eyes in annoyance before rolling my suitcase with me to my room.

I shut the door behind me before looking around the familiar room. Although, it wasn't too familiar anymore. All the furniture was gone. Besides a bed in the middle of the room. All my books, my photo albums, my closet full of left over clothes. Everything was gone.

I was coming back on holidays like Easter and Christmas but obviously she didn't want me to by the looks of it.

The only good then was that at least I could be alone without anyone hassling me. Because knowing my mum, she wouldn't even remember me staying here for two weeks.

I flopped onto my bed plugging in my headphones, hitting shuffle on my phone before closing my eyes.
