Chapter 29- Pass The Turkey

~Eleanor's POV~

4 months later

"I'm really going to miss you Eleanor." Kelly, a friend I made, told me in a sad but happy tone.

"I know, this was actually four of the best months. I felt like I was in high school all over again." I told Kelly.

"Right, but I'll see you after I leave in a month." she told me with a happy smile.

I smiled and then went back to reading Divergent. Kelly went back to doing a puzzle of New York City. I wasn't reading though, all I could think was is Louis going to show up or will I leave and find out he is dating someone else or even worse, marrying. 

I then left my thoughts of that and returned to reading. But I couldn't help but think and then maybe a little to soon I heard a nurse say,"El, it's time to go hun." 

I quickly hugged Kelly and told her that we would be back together next month when she is able to leave and then went with the nurse to the waiting room. 

As we walked into the waiting room I remembered the familiar scent and the memory that happened only a couple months ago. The nurse handed me my iPhone, purse, and had me sign papers. We said our goodbyes and thank yous and I walked to where people would be sitting.

I stood there for a minute trying to see if Louis was there. I suddenly was attacked with two big strong arms from behind me. I turned around to see Louis's beautiful face and the first thing I could do was kiss him. We stopped and I looked him in the eyes and just looked.

"What are you looking at?" Louis said in his sassy voice.

"Your eyes. I missed you!" I told the sass master.

"I love you." Louis told me.

"I love you too BooBear." I said.

We entered the black van that Louis was brought in. We both sat and held hands until we reached our flat.

It was December 1st and there was already crystal white snow on the ground and soon Christmas lights would be on the front of every house. Louis and I had a tradition, that every Christmas eve, after his birthday celebration, we would drive around and look at Christmas lights. 

Just thinking about Christmas made me over joyed that I was out of there and back with my love. We walked up to the door and unlocked it. Louis opened the door for me and I walked in. I could smell food and a pumpkin spice candle once I stepped inside. 

"Welcome home!" I was surprised my many people yelling. 

I let out a big smile and then turned to Louis,"You missed Thanksgiving so I wanted to celebrate." I kissed his cheek and then went and said hi to everyone.

The boys, their wives/girlfriends, Louis's family, Dani, Ella, and Max were all there. I realized they were all dressed up and I was wearing a jumper and sweatpants. 

"I think I'm going to go change." I told Jay, who I was talking to.

I went into our bedroom and quickly picked something out. I put on a maroon skater skirt and a black cropped sweater. I let my hair down into their messy curls and applied eyeliner and mascara. 

I was about to leave when someone opened the door. Max.

"Hey! How are you?" I asked him giving him a hug. 

"I've been great, missed you though." he responded.

He began to move closer to me,"So what have you been up to?" I asked starting to become very uncomfortable. 

"Nothing, just thinking about you." he said while he moved closer to me, now only inches apart from my face. 

"Max, what are you doing?" I asked him calmly as he touched my face.

Then suddenly he flat out kissed my lips. He just did that!

I pushed him away,"What the hell, you know I love Louis!" 

"We used to have something El. Remember when he broke up with you?" he told me.

I then walked to the bedroom door, opened it, and left without replying. 

~Louis's POV~

We sat down for dinner and it all looked amazing. I sat on the end with El beside me. She has looked upset and scared all night but maybe that's just me.

"El, can you pass the turkey?" Max asked her.

El froze and didn't move. I grabbed the plate of turkey and handed it to him and then grabbed El's hand. While everyone was talking I whispered into her ear,"What's wrong love?" 

"Nothing." she said with her eyes on someone but I couldn't see who. Maybe Dani, maybe Max, maybe Zayn.

It was around 11pm when everyone decided to head out, back to their homes. El and I said goodbyes and thank yous to everyone for coming. 

After people left El said,"Babe, I'm going to go take a shower and get ready for bed." she kissed my lips and went to our room. 

~Eleanor's POV~

I went into the bedroom to go to the bathroom so I could take a shower, but as I was walking I heard Louis's ringtone. I grabbed his phone off the nightstand to see who sent him a text. I quickly opened it when I saw who it was from.

From-Max

I see why you like her so much.

There was a picture attached to the text of Max and I kissing. I quickly deleted the text and put his phone back. 

I went into the bathroom, locked the door, and cried my eyes out. 

What did I do? I kept asking myself.
