Chapter 30- Unhappy Birthday

~Louis's POV~

I was one minute asleep and the next there was a person jumping ontop of me. 

"Happy Birthday sleepy head!" El yelled in my face.

Even though it was 8 am I couldn't be mad at her so I just laughed and kissed her lips. She rolled onto her side of the bed and grabbed her phone.

"You were already the top trend on twitter three times and your phone wouldn't shut up this morning so I got up and attempted at making pancakes." El said and then made an innocent laugh because you know could smell something burning, which was probably the pancakes.

I laughed at her bad cooking skills and jumped out of bed and but a shirt on. 

I remade the pancakes and put sprinkles in them because why not. We ate them all and then both got ready to go to my mom's house for Christmas Eve but more importantly, my birthday.

I wore a my Christmas jumper, a pair of jeans, and vans. While El wore an almost matching Christmas sweater with leggings and vans. 

We then got into my car and turned the radio on. Immediately El put in a Christmas CD and we rocked out to Christmas songs the whole ride. When we got almost to my family's house El turned the music off and put her serious face on.

~Eleanor's POV~

"Lou, I know it's the holidays and your birthday and you don't want any drama but I have to tell you something and you can't get mad at me because it wasn't my fault and the reason I haven't told you is because I'm scared this will wreck our relationship." I said while facing the road and not daring to look at his face. 

There was silence so I looked over at Louis who looked upset and scared and just kept his eyes on the road. I didn't think he was going to say anything so, I just continued. 

"When we had Thanksgiving, I went to get changed and when I was about to leave Max came in. I said hi and asked him what he had been doing and it felt like he was coming onto me and he kept on getting closer," I paused," and then he kissed me."

Silence fell over the car and I couldn't even look at his face cause I was to scared.

~Louis's POV~

The last 20 minutes neither El or I spoke. The radio was off and all I could think of was how mad I was at Max. I wasn't mad at El, I just didn't know what to say. I was speechless. 

When we pulled up into the driveway and parked I got out of the car and left El. When I walked in I was greeted by many Happy Birthdays and hugs, but I ignored them and ran up the stairs into my old bedroom and locked the door. I need to think.

~Eleanor's POV~

I saw Louis walk into his old house and leave me out here. So, I got out and shut the car door. I walked up to the door and opened it to find a the very confused Tomlinson family. 

"El! What happened with Louis?" Jay asked me.

"Um, well, he just, needed a minute to think about something, I think." I said not knowing what to tell them. 

It had been hours since we got here and Louis still is upstairs. I have to talk to Louis, he can't stay up there all day.

I walked up the stairs and quietly knocked on his door.

"Come in." his voice said softly.

I opened the door to see Louis sitting on the floor against his bed and staring at the wall.

"Louis. are you mad at me?" I asked him quietly.

He didn't answer, so I went over and sat down next to him. He finally turned his head to look at me and said,"No El, I'm not mad at you. I just am mad at the thought of someone else kissing you, someone who I said was my friend."

"I'm sorry." was all I could say.

"It's not your fault love." Louis said and then he kissed my forehead.

"Let's go downstairs, dinner is going to be ready soon." I said.

Louis got up off the floor and then pulled me up too. We quickly kissed and walked downstairs, together.

~Louis's POV~

After dinner we had birthday presents for me and we had cake and just celebrated. Then, like every year, El and I went out to see the Christmas lights, but this year Lottie and Fizzy came with us. We all had a great time looking at lights, singing Christmas songs with our worst singing voices, and laughing nonstop.

When we got back to the house we all put on our matching Christmas onesies and went to bed. It was a great day and tomorrow is Christmas. Goodnight.
