The wedding was postponed, yet again, until Sam healed. So, the week of the wedding, everyone was on edge. Jack was having commitment problems of which Daniel was trying to fix. Sam was having dress problems, that is, ones that Janet was trying to fix with a makeshift sewing machine. It doesn't help when your dress size goes up every week and you are trying to pick out a dress to fit you perfectly.

Jack was distraught and in a form Daniel had never seen before.

"Jack, your going to have to tell me what you're worried about so I can help you. Right now, you have a church full of people and the perfect woman waiting for you downstairs and at this point, she's probably wondering if you're coming. So, tell me what's wrong, Jack." Daniel insisted.

"Charlie is what's wrong. I....," he paused for a long moment, "I'm worried of what he thinks of me marrying Carter. Instead of his mother. He never saw us apart, the divorce happened after he died!" Jack was upset. Tears streamed down his face as he sniffled his nose. Daniel rubbed his forehead. He was never good with the mushy gushy stuff, but he figured he'd give it a try.

"Jack, I know what your feeling. Ever since Shar're died, I have a very hard time bring with any woman. It's even harder to try and love them. But Jack, I know that if I found true love again, she would want me to be happy. And so does Charlie. He knows everything that's happened, and he knows your happy." Jack wiped the tears away and looked to Daniel who was seated on the hotel room bed. The look on his face was sincere, and he knew he was right.

"Yeah, Daniel, you're right." He put his face in his hands.

"Good, now go marry that girl and start you're life." Daniel said.

"Sam, you look gorgeous!" Sam and Janet stood before a mirror admiring Sam. Her dress was simple, pearl white lace around the top covering her chest and arms. Then it flowed into a belt that stretched around her stomach and white silk with a clear white lace the went to her feet. Her hair was her usual but she detested wearing a veil. She looked stunning.

"I'm not sure I want to go out there looking like this." She motioned toward her stomach.

"Nonsense, you are glowing!" Janet assured her.

"That's just it. I never imagined that I would be pregnant on my wedding day! I always figured we would start a family later on, with whoever I married. I feel like we are getting married because of the baby, not because of love." She fiddled with her fingers.

Janet sighed, "He is not marrying you because of the baby. He is marrying you to have a family because he wants to be with you! And, he wanted to marry you before you were even pregnant. I always suspected he liked you but I never thought I'd be sitting here today telling you how much me loves you so you marry him." She put her hands on her hips.

"You're right. I'm just being silly, aren't I?" She asked.

"Yes, you are. Now go marry that man!" Janet grabbed Sam and pulled her up. They proceeded to the wedding line.

By the time they got down there, Jack was waiting for her. The brides maids hurried down the isle leaving Sam and Jacob waiting in the back.

"You look radiant." He told her, holding his arm out for her to take.

"Thanks, dad." She returned.

"I'm so proud of you, Sam." She blushed and the double doors opened.

Jack held his breath until he saw her. She glowed with happiness and he knew it too. Her makeup, which she never wore, brought out the color of her eyes in a way he had never noticed. A small part of him hoped his daughter had her eyes and her good looks because he didn't want to shame her with his. Every ounce of doubt he had before, was now gone and all he wanted was to hold her as his wife.

Sam and Jacob reached the end of the isle and everyone took their seats. Jack held his hand out and Sam took it, a wide smile on his face.

"You look...amazing." He whispered.

"You too. You clean up nice." He looked at his air force suit and nodded his head in agreeance with her. He didn't want to let go of her hand, even when they turned toward General Hammond who was officiating the service. He started.

"Sam, Jack. I never thought I would see the day when you two would marry each other!" They both laughed along with the congregation, "I welcome you all here today to wed these two in Holy Matrimony. We wish you a wonderful life together. Jack, your vowels?" Hammond asked.

"Ah, Yes," He turned to Sam, "Sam, I know we have always been fond of each other, but that's not just it. I have been in love with you since the first time I met you. Everyday I had to refrain myself from telling you how much I loved you. On certain occasions I let it slip a little too much. But I love you with all my heart and I promise you I will make you happy, even if it kills me. I've been waiting too long for you and I refuse to make you unhappy. I promise to be the best husband, father, friend, and man that I can be to you and our daughter. We are going to have a wonderful life together, just the three of us, and I love you." A tear ran down his face. He sniffled his nose and motioned that he was finished.

"Sam." Hammond said. She took a deep breath and looked up at Jack.

"Jack, I can't say that I always found you attractive. Honestly, I thought you were a jerk the first year we were on the same team. But, I decided you were a good guy. I always had a crush on you and that spiraled into a love that only we know. I wish we could've done this sooner. I love you, Jack, with all my heart and I will until death due us part." She finished as Jack grabbed her other hand.

"Jack, do you take a Sam as your wife, to have and to hold, until death do you part?" Hammond asked. Jack leaned into Sam,

"I do." He said.

"Sam, do you take Jack to be your husband, to have and to hold, until death due You part?" He asked again.

"I do." She replied.

"Then, by the power vested in me by the United States Air force, I pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride." Jack grabbed Sam and swung her into a dip and kissed her hard. They stayed like that until he set her back up. Then he knelt down and kissed her stomach. Standing up he grabbed Sam again before she could speak and kissed her.

"We are finally married, Jack." She laughed.

"It's about time. Let's get home, Sam O'Neill." He picked her up and carried her to the car, through a line of people. They decided not to go on a honey moon until the baby was born, so they could take her with them. So, the headed home, where Jack carried Sam through the threshold of his house and into the bedroom. They both collapsed in each others arms under the blankets and slept the rest of the day away, warm and safe while holding one another. Later that night, Jack took Sam to a fancy restaurant downtown where they ate in pure bliss.
