2 Months Later....
"Sam! Are you OK? You've been in there for over an hour!" Jack pounded on the bedroom door. He had heard her rummaging in the closet but she didn't say anything when he knocked on the door, "I'm coming in!" He turned the handle and entered the room, not sure what to expect. She wasn't on the bed, but sitting on the floor when he looked to the left. The closet doors were opened and clothes were thrown everywhere. She looked up at him, tears streaming down her face. He sighed with relief, she was OK.
"What's going on?" He asked. He moved over beside her and sat down on the floor, "Talk to me." She looked down at herself and started crying again.
"I don't fit in anything anymore!" She screamed, throwing a shirt against the wall.
"Well, then. Let's go get you something new." It took her a moment to register what he said. She stopped crying and looked up at him.
"Really?" She asked, in disbelief.
"Of course. We can get you enough to last the whole pregnancy. Whatever you want." He smiled at her and she wiped the tears from her eyes. He stood and helped her up, but she didn't let go of his hands before she pulled him into a kiss. They stayed like that for a long while before she let him go. His deep brown eyes reflected her blue ones. Secretly, he hoped the baby had her eyes, so soft and enjoyable. He pulled her in again, but this time was not a kiss, but a hug. He held her as she squeezed him. His chin rested against the top of her head and he could smell the sweet, exotic shampoo she used.
"I love you with everything I have and everything I am, Sam." He rubbed his hand across her back.
"I love you too," She replied, "This is all I've ever wanted." She smiled, not being able to get enough of him.
They loaded up in his car and went shopping. They spent the whole day together, laughing and walking around the mall like they had been married their entire lives. It wasn't hard to feel that way when they both loved each other more than words could ever express. Sam bought lots of clothes and some stuff for the nursery, which was already full and getting fuller by the day. They turned down the idea of a baby shower because they had already bought so much stuff. The nursery had been done for almost a month and now all they had to do was wait two and a half more until they could hold their bundle of joy.
"Hey, I'm getting hungry. Want to grab something to eat?" She looked up at Jack who was looking toward the food court of the mall.
"Eh, I'm not really in the mood for a hotdog today." He sighed. She looked at her feet disappointedly.
"Ok." And she was just going to leave it at that.
"I've got an idea." He stopped walking. She turned to look at him. He was smiling a devious smile.
"What's that look for?" She asked giggling. She had no idea what he was planning but she knew it was going to be good.
"I am taking you to that fancy restaurant across town. The one we went to on our wedding night?" He waited for her reaction. It was a shocked one when it finally crossed her face.
"Piers? No, I didn't buy a dress. Let's just wait until I'm not pregnant anymore to do that." She was shutting down so he knew he had to work fast.
"It's a good thing we are standing in a mall and I have a credit card with BOTH our names on it." He took three steps backward and opened the door to a dress shop he had conveniently stopped in front of.
"Jack!" She raised her voice, but he knew he had her because she was smiling.
"Samantha." He motioned his hand for her to enter. She sighed and walked past him only to stop and turn around when they entered the shop.
