"What the Hell, Jacob!" Jack screamed as he walked into the briefing room. Jacob was sitting in the middle of the table with a file sitting in front of him. He stood when he realized this was going to be a heated conversation. Jack had given him 24 hours to cool off and he hoped that did the trick.

"Jack." Was all Jacob said.

"How dare you talk to Sam that way! You need to apologize. I held her for 2 hours last night while she cried until she fell asleep!" Jack pounded his fist on the table.

"I'm sorry I was a little upset when I found out my little girl was marrying and fathering the child of a man 10 years older than her!" Jacob was furious. He pushed the rolling chair into the desk and walked toward the glass and stared at the Stargate.

"That's really what you're upset over? That I'm a little older than her? No, you wanted her to marry Pete. Didn't you." Jacob glanced up with a guilty expression. Jack shook his head.

"Jack...I'm sorry." He turned to face him.

"I'm not the one whose feeling were smashed." Jacob sighed. He knew what he had to do and Jack knew it too. He stepped to the side to let Jacob pass.

"Hey Jack?" Jacob stopped and turned around, "Would you mind giving me a ride to Sams?"

"Yeah, but she's at my house right now. I invited her to dinner and you're coming too."

Jacks House

Jack put the key in the door and turned the handle. It gave freely.

"Sam! I'm home!" He shouted. Jacob shut the door.

"In here!" The voice came from the living room. He turned the corner to see Sam sitting on the couch wearing a bright red dress that hung tightly to her hips. You could clearly see her very small baby belly, which was the first thing Jacob noticed. It had been the first time he saw her in something so form fitting. Her face went grim when she saw her dad. Quickly, she covered up her cleavage and put an arm over her stomach.

"I thought this was just me and you Jack?" Sam said.

"Well, I figured you and your dad have a lot to talk about. Can I see you in the bedroom?" She paused as he pointed toward the bedroom and followed his lead. Once inside he closed the door. She wasn't happy.

"What were you thinking!" She yelled.

"He's sorry, but he just wants to talk." She sat down on the bed and laid on her back.

"I don't want to talk to him." She cried. Black tears ran down her face. He walked over and sat on the bed beside her, drying her tears with his thumb.

"He's got a lot of good stuff to say." He teased. She couldn't help but smile.

"Fine." She said.

"Good. Now how about you change out of this dress, fix you're makeup, and I will make you something good for dinner."
"Fine..." She went to stand up when he stopped her and pushed her back down on the bed. He put his head next to hers and kissed her. After he pulled away, he reached down and placed his hand on her very small abdomen.

"I love you, and I love this baby. No matter what anyone says." He kissed her again and helped her up, "You're putting that on later, right? Because it's really hard for me to contain myself right now." He motioned toward the dress.

Sam laughed out loud. "I guess it just depends on how good of a supper you cook." With that he took off out of the room to make a fantastic meal.

Sam came out of the bedroom 10 minutes later in a ribbed tank top and sweats. Walking into the living room, she stood before her dad.

"Sam, please sit." Selmac said in his grainy voice.

"Selmac, nice to see you." She sat beside him.

"Congratulations on your engagement and your announcement. I hope you and Jack are happy for many years to come." He bowed his head.

"I wish my dad felt the same way." She looked at the floor.

"He is just a concerned father, Sam." Selmac left and Jacob came forth.

"Hon, I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt you." He put his hands on her shoulders and looked into her eyes, " I should have never said anything. I truly am happy you and Jack can finally be together."

"What do you mean by finally?" She probed.

"Oh, I've always known you two have had a thing for each other. I just got a little defensive when my girl told my she was unwed and pregnant." She shook her head and he took her hand. Feelings that were hurt, were now healed.

Dinner was great. Jack made chicken enchiladas that were mild the way she liked them. He also made homemade guacamole that he was famous for and by the looks he was getting from the blond across the table, he was meeting her expectations. They had great conversation about their future plans and the wedding. Jacob left via cab and headed back to the base. He was going to contact his people to ask for leave so he could be present for the wedding and then the birth.

That Night

Sam leaned against Jack on the couch. She rested her head on his shoulder and ran her fingers through his hair. "So, what are we going to name it?"

"Good question..." he bit his lip, " ...if it's a girl, Samantha. And if it's a boy, Teal'c". With all seriousness, he looked at her. She burst out laughing and smacking her knee.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry." She laughed.

"What? It's not bad!" He tried to defend himself. She started to calm down.

"I was thinking more like... Janet for a girl and I don't know what for a boy."

"Me too. Janet it is for a girl." Jack replied.

"I'll be right back." Sam jumped off the couch and ran out of the room. She came back a few minutes later dressed in the tight red dress she had worn earlier. It fit her perfectly in all the right places. She put her hand on the door jam and the other on her hip.

"Reward?" She said.

"Mmmm" he growled. He walked over to her and kissed her on the lips. He grabbed her waist and pulled her in. She pulled her hands around his neck and kissed him, harder this time. He pulled his head away from hers. "Why don't we take this to the bedroom?" He asked as he slipped her dress strap down.

"Okay." He followed her to the bedroom where they kissed and talked all night, among other things. They cleared up any questions they had about each other and by morning, they felt like one person.
