♡My best dreams and worst nightmares have the same people in them.♡

As I swung around the cover in which I had the chocolates, I stopped at a T-section in the corridor.

Was it left or right?

I felt ashamed at having forgotten the route to my best friend's hospital room. It had been almost two weeks since I had met her. I mentally scolded myself at my carelessness. I wanted nothing more than to see her and tell her everything that had happened in the previous weeks.

Finally, I remembered the route to her room. My feet shuffled quickly as I walked. Blaze was right behind me.

He was silent but he made sure I knew that he would be there when I needed him.

Finally, I found the room. I threw open the door and stepped in.
"MELO-dy?"
My eyebrows furrowed in confusion when I saw nothing more than an empty bed and a few janitors cleaning up the room.

"Are you sure we're in the right room?",Blaze asked, his features appearing equally confused as mine.

One of the janitors looked up at us, a middle aged lady.
"Whom are you looking for, kids?"

I gulped and tried to prevent my voice from cracking.
"M-Melody? Seventeen years old? Osteosarcoma patient?"

The janitor looked confused.
"I'm not sure, sweetie, why don't you go check at the main desk?"

Blaze put a hand on my shoulder.
"Perhaps she's in another room."

I nodded weakly and walked out of the room. I hurried towards the main desk. I fidgeted with my hands the chocolate cover continuously.
"E-Excuse me? I would like to get details about a patient. Melody. Melody White. Seventeen years old. Osteosarcoma patient.",I said to the receptionist.

"I'm sorry we cannot give out details without ID.",she said as she typed something in her computer, not even sparing a glance.

My blood boiled. I clenched my fists. I slammed my hand on the counter. That got her attention. She looked up at me. She cocked up an eyebrow. Her mouth stretched into a straight line.

"You tell me right now. I have been coming here at least once every week to meet Melody. She was supposed to be in room 104 and now she is not.",I said harshly.

The receptionist rolled her eyes in a bored manner.

Blaze touched my shoulder. I turned towards him.
"Let me handle this.",he said.

He turned towards the receptionist.
"Hello, ma'am. I'm terribly sorry about this inconvenience but we seriously need to know the room Melody White is presently staying in. You see, it's kind of an emergency. I'm Blaze, by the way. Blaze Knight, friend of Amy, right here. She's kind of the official best friend of Melody White so if you would just.."
He threw in a glamorous smile.

The receptionist looked impressed.
"Um..okay."

She quickly typed something into her computer. She squinted at the screen and looked up at us. My heart clenched in fear and stomach became hollow when she frowned.
"I'm terribly sorry. She has been moved into the ICU. Her condition has worsened. She's in ICU-3.",she said.

Before Blaze could turn around, I dashed off towards ICU-3. My eyes scanned every door in the corridor to find the room. I couldn't find it. I decided to take the stairs and check out the next floor. I was winded by the time I got to the next floor. I heard footsteps behind me and saw Blaze standing next to me in a few moments. He looked hardly winded.
