"I know why they call it falling in love."

"Why?"

"Because of what's at the end of falling."

"And what is that?"

"Crashing."

I tossed and turned in my bed. I pulled the blankets up to my chin, which usually made me comfortable, but I still couldn't fall asleep.

Unattended thoughts floated around in my head which made me severely uncomfortable. I clicked my tongue in frustration as I kept changing my posture.

I finally gave up trying to fall asleep and got up. I switched on the night lamp beside my bed and searched for my phone. I finally found it under the covers on my bed. I put on my glasses too.

I opened my contacts list and scrolled until I found Caspian's contact. I took in a few deep breaths and let them out.

Should I be doing this?

I shook my head and switched off my phone.

He had left me at the party. I had merely talked to him. Anger and resentment rose in my chest.

Just as I was about to put my phone down, it rang. My hand froze. I lifted my phone to my face and almost let out a cry.

Caspian.

I was about to answer it immediately but I decided I would wait for a second or two so that I didn't seem too desperate.

I finally picked up the phone. I decided to remain a little cold.
"Hello?",I said coldly.

"Amy?"
I had missed that voice, even though it had only been a few hours.

"Yes."

I could hear shallow breathing. Both of us didn't say anything for a while. There was silence.

Finally, I heard him say,
"Look, I'm really sorry. What I did was really douchebag-y of me. Forgive me?"

I could imagine him giving me the puppy eyes. I smiled to myself.
"Hmm. I'll think about it."

"Take your time."

"Amy? Am I forgiven?",he asked after three seconds.

"Hello?",he called again.

I kept quiet and smiled slowly to myself.
"Fine. I forgive you."

I could hear him breathing out in relief.
"Come to the window."

I got off the bed and walked towards my window. Sure enough, I saw Caspian standing near his window with his phone near his ear, across the road.

He smiled at me and I smiled back. Even from here, I could see his glistening blue eyes shining.

I wanted to go over there, throw my arms around his neck and kiss him so hard we'd forget how to breathe. Even though I was mad at him, his apology had melted all the anger.

"I wish I could hold you right now.",he said.

"Me too.",I said.

I noticed some movement in the window beside Caspian's. Blaze's room. I saw a light being switched on. Blaze walked into the room.

He sat down on his bed and removed his shoes.

"Where is he coming from this late?",I asked.

"Huh?"
