...Hawaii...
"Would you like to book rooms, sir?",the airport attendant asked Mr.Knight with a tired smile on her face."No. That won't be necessary. Thank you.",Mr.Knight said. However, he did not smile back.
Mr.Knight, Blaze and Caspian's father was 6'1 with a brooding stature. He was a man of few words. His blue eyes could stare at you intensely enough to get you frozen. I realized that Caspian had a striking resemblance to his dad.
Initially, I thought Mr.Knight didn't like me and Lexi coming along with them to Hawaii but then later Blaze told me that a rock could exhibit more expression than his dad and that his dad always minded his business once they reached the villa.
The flight journey, however, was short and sweet. Thankfully, we didn't have to sit in the flight for more than five hours. As we landed in the airport, I dragged my huge, black suitcase behind me.
I was wearing jean-shorts and a flappy white shirt. I had plaited my hair. Lexi too was wearing a white shirt but with black leggings. Matt pushed both their suitcases, which were decked on a trolley.
I noticed that Blaze did not speak much in front of his father. He did not do much apart from smile quietly and read a book or scroll on his phone. Caspian, however, seemed to be at ease around his father.
It was six in the evening when we landed in Hawaii. The airport was mostly open, letting the humid sea air cross ventilate the area. Most of the people looked relaxed, sauntering around in bright t-shirts and shorts. Everybody was already in summer mood.
I couldn't wait to get to the villa. I had my own picture of the villa. A huge, sprawling garden in front of the villa, possibly a pool behind it.
Blaze walked two steps ahead of me as we walked towards the exit. I saw a car waiting for us. Caspian walked beside me. He had offered to help me with my suitcase but I had refused.
Now Caspian walked beside me, linking his right arm with my left. It was humid and I wanted nothing more than to be left alone but I couldn't bring myself to say it.
As we stepped out of the airport gates, fresh sea air fanned my face. I took in a deep breath, inhaling the beautiful scent. The car which was waiting for us was black and really long, like the ones you see in movies. Everybody settled in and we drove off.
"So, Mr.Knight, how many days are we staying here for?",Matt asked.
"A week.",he replied. His voice was deep. It did not display any sense of curtness but it didn't sound like he was in the mood for a conversation either.
Matt nodded and leaned back on the seat, wrapping and arm around Lexi. Blaze sat with Caspian a seat behind them and I ended up in the last seat, texting Melody.
Melody: OH EM GEEEEEE. HAWAIIII
I silently laughed to myself.
Me: It would've been good if you were here :)
Melody: I know right. We could've checked out hot shirtless guys on the beach together.
Me: ;)
Melody: ;)
Me: Anyway, gotta run. I think we're close to the villa.
