Tin rushed outside after Can.
Can was on the ground leaning against the railing on the stairs. He had closed his eyes closed but had opened them again when he heard the door open and close again.
When he saw Tin he groaned and turned away.
"Are you okay?" Tin questioned quietly.
Can shook his head. He didn't want to lie because that would cause more thinking.
Tin sat quietly next to Can on the stairs.
"Why?" He didn't have to explain what he meant, Tin already knew.
"I'm sorry." Was all Tin could manage to get out. He wasn't sorry for kissing Can, but sorry for making him feel uncomfortable. "I thought that you might like me too and I took a chance."
Can sighed deeply. "I'm sorry I reacted the way I did. I just didn't know what to do. And I'm sorry if I led you on. I didn't mean to." He explained. "I'm not mad either. I still want to be friends with you. I don't want to lose you." At least not all of what was coming out of Can's mouth was a lie. He didn't want to lose Tin.
"I understand." Tin nodded. They fell into a silence, that wasn't completely uncomfortable, but wasn't pleasant either.
This was the first step in Tin's plan. Get close to Can again. He needed to be close to Can. He had gone most of his life not having to depend on anyone. But once Can ran into his life he suddenly needed him.
"Wanna go back inside?" Tin asked. Can nodded and they both stood up.
The rest of the night seemed to go by alright. Can and Tin didn't really speak to each other, but they weren't completely ignoring one another either. After dinner Ley helped their mom clean up dishes as Pete took Can outside to talk.
"Ae told me about what happened before." Pete said sitting down on the stairs next to Can, who was silent. "I totally get why you don't want to be with Tin, but I also am here telling you to go for it. Tin is nowhere near how Ae described that Boom guy. He is nice. He can give you all the love you need, even though he never got any of that. He also really likes you." Pete explained. Can sighed deeply and rubbed his face with his hands.
"I know and believe it or not, I like Tin as well. I like him a lot. I have for a while now, but I don't know. Part of me wants to go in there and jump his bones, but the other part of me is scared to get hurt again." Pete laughed at Can's words.
"I think you should go with number one, only wait for everyone to be out of the room." Pete said. Can chuckled and nodded.
"Just give me some time to decide what I want to do." He said. Pete nodded and patted Can's shoulder, standing up. He went back inside without saying another word. Can sighed deeply and followed Pete by going inside.
"We're gonna go." Ae said once Can walked back in. He nodded and the three boys stood up.
"Wait." Can said holding Tin's arm. "Stay for a little while longer, I can take you home." He said. Tin looked to the other boys who rushed out of the house at lightening speed. They didn't want Can to change his mind, or tin to talk his way out of it.
Ley and Can's mom had both went up to their rooms and left Can to wash the dishes. Tin sat at the small table in the kitchen and watched Can silently. Can begins to talk but Tin stays quiet.
"I know what your last name is." Can admits. Tin begins to panic and worry. Can wasn't supposed to ever find out. Is this why he doesn't want to be with me? Tin thought to himself. "I've known since before we even met." After the last confession Tin was flushed with more emotions Anger: was Can only friends wit him to get to his money. Betrayal: he thought he could trust Can not to lie to him. Confusion: why keep it a secret?
"What?" Tin asked softly. Can washed his hands off in the sink before turning around to face Tin who was looking down at the floor.
"It really isn't what you think. I know but I don't care." Can tried to explain the best he could. "I don't care what your last name is. I don't care about who your dad is. I don't care about your money." Tin stood up and started walking slowly over to Can. Can stopped talking for a second to get Tin's reply.
"Then why would you lie to me?" Tin asked in a low voice, stopping in front of Can. Can shrugged.
"I didn't think it mattered. You aren't your money, Tin. That isn't who you are." He said quietly. Tin nodded.
"Then, did you mean what you said when we talked before?" He asked. Can nodded.
Tin grabbed Can by the neck and pulled him into another kiss. This time Can didn't pull away. Instead, he grabbed Tin by the waist and pulled him closer. Tin took this as his chance to deepen the kiss. He licked Can's bottom lip and was allowed entry immediately. Both of their hearts were racing quickly.
Tin pulled away from the kiss and rested his forehead agaisnt Can's. When Can spoke his voice was soft.
"Stop kissing me."
