"Tin, nice to see you finally home." He sighed as his mother's words as he entered into the kitchen.
"Mother." He said as he grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and began walking out.
"Tin, your father and I have something we need to speak to you about. Since he isn't here, I will. Take a seat." She said setting her newspaper down and gesturing to the seat across from her.
"Mother, I have plans." He said sighing.
"I'm your mother. You will sit down and ignore whatever hood-rat you were thinking of going out with today." She said in a stern voice.
Tin sighed and took a seat at the island, not the table. His mother sighed.
"Fine, have it your way. Your father and I demand you to be home Friday night. We are having friends over for dinner." She said. He shrugged.
"So, it's never like you've thought of me as your kid. You finally acknowledge me after all these years? Why?" He asked.
"The dinner is for you, Tin. A friend of your father's is bringing his daughter over. We are hoping she'll agree to become engaged to you." She told him.
Tin laughed and shook his head. "No. Not happening." He said getting up and walking away, ignoring his mother's calls.
He grabbed his car keys before getting in his car and driving to Can's.
"Maybe you should go to dinner." Can said taking Tin's hand as they were sitting on his bed.
"What? Why would I do that?" He asked. Can sighed and rubbed his face.
"Just go and tell them that you have someone else." He explained. Tin smiled.
"Tell them I'm dating you? That would be perfect. I could bring you too so I can show them I'm in love with you." He said pecking Can's lips quickly. Can shook his head.
"No, Tin. Maybe you shouldn't tell them." He said softly.
"Why not?"
"You're already not getting along with your parents, I don't want to make it any worse." He said shaking his head.
"Can," Tin said taking Can's face in his hands. "I want you to be there. I want them to see that I'm in love with you. I don't care if they don't accept you. That's their loss, because you are amazing." He said kissing him deeply.
"Are you sure?" He asked resting their heads against each others.
"I don't think I've ever been more sure about anything." Tin said. Can smiled and nodded.
"Okay then. I'll go." Can said nodding. Tin smiled and pecked his lips.
"Great!"
"Well," Can cleared his throat. "I have so not so great news. Boom wants to meet me tomorrow." Tin sighed deeply.
"Are you gonna go?" He asked. Can shook his head.
"Not if you don't want me to."
"Why don't we go to together. So, we can show him that we aren't going to give up on each other thay easily." Tin suggested. Can sighed.
"Are you sure?" Can asked. Tin smiled and nodded.
"Now, get ready for school. I refuse to let you be late." Tin said kissing Can's head and getting up.
They arrived at school on time, but sat in the parking lot for a good five minutes.
"We can do this. Tin said grabbing Can's hand and rubbed his thumb over the back of it.
"Yeah. We can. Let's go." Can said as they got out of the car.
Tin walked to the other side and took Can's hand in his, squeezing it slightly. They then proceeded to walk into the school, together.
