The next morning Can woke up first. He was a little startled when he realized he was in a room that he didn't recognize. He calmed down when he saw Tin laying on the floor next to the bed.
This must be Tin's apartment, Can thought to himself. He slid out of the bed slowly and looked at the cover Tin was using. Can thought he must have been freezing. He pulled the cover off of the bed and covered Tin up with it.
Can made his way into the kitchen and started raiding it. He pulled foods out of the fridge and cabinets. He turned on the stove and begun making breakfast for the both of them.
Tin woke up to the smell of pancakes, his favorite food. And the slight sound of music playing in another room. He looked up to the bed and saw that Can was gone. He put the covers back on the bed and walked into the kitchen. Can was standing at the stove, dancing slightly to the music.
"Can?" When can heard his name being called he turned around and smiled at Tin.
"I made breakfast." He said holding up a plate of pancakes. Tin felt himself smiling involuntarily.
"Come sit." Can said walking over and pulling Tin to sit down in one of the chairs at the table. "I hope you like pancakes." He said setting the plate in front of Tin.
"It's actually my favorite." Tin said dumbfounded, looking down at the plate. Can smiled and sat down next to Tin and began eating.
"I'm glad you like it. I wasn't really sure. You don't have much food here so I made what I could." Can explained. Tin nodded.
Everything was going by in a blur since Tin had woken up. Tin was in his kitchen cooking for him. Dancing to music. Can seemed so comfortable for him.
"Did you cover me up with another cover?" Tin asked. Can looked at him with a mouthful of food and nodded. He swallowed the food and took a drink.
"You look really cold this morning and so I covered you up when I woke up." Can explained. Tin nodded. His mind was racing with so many different things. "Do you mind if I take a shower?" Can asked. Tin shook his head.
"I'll get you some of my old clothes that you can wear afterwards." Tin said standing up. Can smiled and stood up with him.
As Can took a shower Tin looked for clothes to change into. He had just taken off his shirt when there was a knock at the door. When Tin answered the door Pete was standing there smiling.
"Pete, what are you doing here?" Tin asked. He didn't want Pete to get the wrong idea about him and Can, if he saw Can, but it was too late. Before Pete could answer Can walked out of the room with a towel wrapped around his waist.
"Tin, where are the clothes?" Can asked. Pete's eyes moved to look behind Tin at Can. "Oh! Ai'Pete." Can said walking to the door and greeting Pete. Pete's eyes were wide and so was his smile.
"Am I interrupting something?" He asked gesturing to us. I shook my head quickly.
"No. Can was just getting out of the shower and I was changing out of my bedclothes." I said trying to explain quickly, but I don't think it helped my case. Can waved his hand.
"Nope!" He said smiling wide. "I was just getting out of the shower. I have to get dressed so I can leave. Where are the clothes?" He asked turning and looking at Tin. He stuttered a little trying to get his words out.
"T-they are i-i-in the bedroom." Tin said. Can nodded before heading off to the bathroom. Tin let Pete in and closed the door behind him. Pete looked at the dining room table and kitchen.
"You made breakfast?" Pete asked turning to look at Tin. Tin only shook his head.
"Can did." Pete nodded and pursed his lips.
"I'm going now." Can said walking out of the bedroom with Tin's clothes on.
"I can take you home." Tin said perking up. Can laughed and shook his head.
"It's fine. You already let me stay here last night. I'll get home by myself. Bye." He said waving to Pete before exiting the apartment. Pete's eyes widened when he looked at Tin.
"What's with that?" Pete asked. "I've known you since I could walk. You have never once let someone stay the night with you. Never once automatically trusted someone like that. Never once done any of what you have done in the past couple of days. Can must have magical powers." Pete said laughing and shaking his head. Tin scoffed.
"Whatever." He said looking away from Pete and rolling his eyes.
"I'm serious, Tin. Did you fall when you and Can ran into each other? Did you hit your head?" Pete asked. It may have sounded like a joke but Pete was serious.
"I don't know, okay?" Tin said standing up and going into the kitchen to clean up. "I don't know." He repeated. "It's weird. Can's weird. He doesn't know who I am. He doesn't know who my parents are. I don't have to worry about him just being friends with me for my money. He's innocent and childish in a cute way. I've been thinking about him and making decisions left and right without even thinking first. It's weird." Tin said putting down the dishes and looking up at Pete. Pete sighed and nodded.
"I know it's hard for you Tin, but trust me when I say this. You can trust Can. He isn't like how you think everyone usually is. He comes from maybe not the best off family, but he doesn't like money. The way to his heart is actually food." Pete said laughing. I found myself smiling. "Do you like him?" Pete asked. Tin looked Pete in the eyes and knew what he meant. Tin laughed and shook his head.
"What? No. I don't know." He admitted. If he thought about it anymore his head would explode.
"Well, if you do end up liking him, and I'm not saying that you will, I think you should shoot your shot when it comes time to. You've been single for a while. Let me give you some inside information, being in a relationship isn't all that bad." Pete said, leaning in and whispering the last part. "I've gotta go now. Ae is waiting for me downstairs." He said standing up and walking to the door.
"Does he make you happy?" Tin asked before Pete opened the door. He turned around and smiled at Tin, nodding.
"He does. He's amazing." Pete admitted. Tin smiled and nodded before looking down. Pete said his goodbyes and left.
I don't even know him at, like, all. I've only met him a couple days ago. I don't like him. I won't like him, but that didn't mean that we couldn't be friends. If Pete was right then I could trust him. Maybe I wanted to trust him.
