TIN POVI'm not sure how, but Pete ended up talking me into going out with him and Ae. It was a rash decision, seems like I've been making a lot of those lately. I tried not to look like I was trying too hard, but I've never really had friends except Pete and we never went out. I don't even know what that means. Are we going to a bar? I hope so. I needed to get Can off my mind.
I had been thinking about him all day and those questions had been roaming around, and I wasn't able to forget them.
When we arrived at the bar Pete had picked I hesitated to get out but I had no choice. Pete pulled me out of the car and dragged me up to the door.
It was a crazy club. It was a legit night club. I was surprised Pete knew this place. Maybe he wasn't as innocent as I thought.
"Let's get something to drink." Pete said dragging Ae over to counter and leaving me alone at our table. Pete brought back a drink for me and I downed in less in thirty seconds. Pete chuckled and grabbed my hand as I reached for one of the shots on the tray they had brought back.
"Slow down." He said. I laughed and shook my head, pulling my hand away from Pete's grip.
"I need this." I said before throwing back the shot.
Seven shots later I was laying back in my seat watching Pete and Ae be all lovey-dovey on the dance floor.
I looked around the club and spotted a familiar face in the crowd: Can.
He was being pulled by the hand, through the crowd, on to the dance floor by another boy around our age. They made their way close to the middle and began dancing.
I couldn't tell if they were supposed to be dancing together but they were close, to close for comfort. They would lean forward and whisper something in each others ear before laughing. The other guy was even grabbing Can's arm every once in a while.
I stood up, my anger amplified by the alcohol, and pushed my way through the crowd, to Can and the other guy. I saw his hand begin to move up so it could be placed on his waist. I grabbed his wrist before he even got close enough.
"Hands off." I said glaring at him. I wasn't looking directly at him, but out of the corner of my eye, I could see Can's shocked expression. "Touch him and I'll break your wrists." I said before finally turned to Can. Without saying anything I grabbed him by the wrist and began pulling him outside the back door with me.
"Tin, what the hell?" He asked pulling his arm away from me once we were outside. "What has gotten into you?" He asked looking at me confused. He walked forward to touch my face but I pulled away before his fingers even touched me.
"How about, what's gotten into you?" I asked, throwing his question back at him.
Maybe I wasn't thinking straight because of the alcohol, but maybe deep down I needed to confront him about it.
"One minute you're kissing me in your kitchen and holding my hand in the car. The next minute you don't even want me to come near you. At the field I was gonna kiss you, but you shook your head no. Are you ashamed of being with me?" I question. He looks at me dumbfounded.
"What? Why would I ever be ashamed of you?" He asked. I shurgged.
"I don't know. Why would you? And if it isn't that then is it that you lied to me about wanting my money. I mean, you were more then happy to be friends with me. And you even lied about knowing that I was rich. Maybe I forgave you a little too soon for that because that's a big red flag. Or maybe you're changing your mind about being with me. So, which one is it?" I asked. I may have been raising my voice a little bit.
"Tin, you're drunk. Why don't you ca-"
"Just answer the question!" I yell, interrupting him and causing him to close his mouth. "Answer the question so I know to walk away right now. Answer the question so I know if I can really trust you or not. Because, right now. I'm not feeling like I can. You lied about knowing who I was. You don't want to be with me in public, and now you're at some club with another guy who's obviously trying to come onto you and you aren't even stopping him." I gestured to the door of the club. I chuckled bitterly and shook my head. I could see Can's eyes water a little. "So, answer the question Can. Answer so I know or not if that guy's rich and your just a gold dig-" I was stopped by the sound and pain of the loud slap that had landed on my face.
When I looked back to Can tears were flowing out of his eyes.
"Don't you ever call me that. Don't ever call me anything. Don't ever even fucking talking to me anymore. Whatever we were, this was," He said gesturing to both of us. "Is over." He said before stomping back inside.
"Fuck!" I screamed punching the brick wall on the building three times. Pain shot through my hand and arm, but it was nothing to the pain I knew I had just caused both Can and I.
