It had been three weeks since Tin and Can's first kiss. Two and a half weeks since their first date. And one week since Can's been planning Tin's birthday.
He had found out from Pete, because Tin hadn't told him. Pete informed him that the reason Tin never said anything was because he didn't really celebrate his birthday. He hadn't for years, and that made Can sad. He wanted Tin to be happy, so he decided to plan a birthday surprise for him.
"I just want everything to be perfect. I want him to love it. I know that he has had a hard time in the past and I don't want to him to feel like that anymore. I want to make him happy." Can said flopping down on the couch next to Pete.
Ae and Tin had went to pick something up for Pete, and left him and Can at the apartment alone, perfect chance for them to talk about things.
"I'm sure that Tin will love it. Mainly because it is coming from you. If it wasn't, he would probably reject it as much as he could." Pete said letting out a small laugh.
"He told me about what happened with his brother and how that ruined him. I want to change that. I want to love with all of me." When Can spoke about Tin there was no way to get rid of his smile.
"I'm glad that you're the one that is changing him." Pete said patting my shoulder and standing up as the door opened and Tin and Ae walked in.
"Hey, you." Can said smiling wide as he stood up and kissed Tin's cheek. "I know you were kind of planning to stay here but I'm really tired. Can we go back to my house?" Can asked with a pouty face.
Tin was a little sad, but agreed. He wanted to spend his birthday with his friends, and the love of his life, even if can didn't know it was his birthday, or so he thought. But, he also didn't want Can feeling sick or not well.
"Sure. Let me get my things from Pete's room." He said kissing Can's lips and leaving the room.
"How is it that you guys aren't dating yet?" Ae asked. Can laughed and shrugged.
"He respects me and it was our mutual decision to take it slow." Can explained. Ae and Pete smiled as Tin walked back into the room.
"Ready?" Tin asked. Can nodded.
They said their goodbyes and left, heading to Can's house. His mother and sister were visiting his dad, so they had the house all to themselves.
"Why don't you go lay down on the couch. I'm make you something to eat and then I'll draw you a bath." Tin said setting their things in Can's room. Can shook his head.
"First, I want you to close your eyes." Can said smiling. Tin eyed him suspiciously and smiled.
"Why?"
"Just do it." Can said. Tin nodded and closed his eyes. Can ran over to the light switch and turned it off. He quickly ran downstairs.
"Can? Why are my eyes closed? Can I open them now?" He asked as Can ran back into the room. He heard a quiet sound of a lighter before Can spoke up.
"Open them now." He said softly.
When Tin opened his eyes, Can was standing in front of him, with a wide and loving smile on his face, holding a small cake with three candles stuck in the top.
"Happy birthday, Tin." Can said softly.
Tin looked from the cake up to Can's face as tears began to fall from his eyes. Can quickly put the cake down and wiped his tears away.
"Don't cry." Can said hugging Tin close. Tin wrapped his arms tightly around Can.
"I'm sorry. No one has ever done this for me. I haven't celebrated my birthday in years. How did you even know?" He asked as Can pulled back. He smiled and kept his hands on the side of Tin's face.
"Pete told me." He admitted. "Now, hurry up and make a wish." He said picking the cake back up. Tin laughed and closed his eyes as he made a wish. When he was done he opened his eyes and blew out the candles.
"I love you." Tin said smiling. Can smiled.
"I love you, too." He said wrapping his arms around Tin's neck. "I think that is why we should be official." He said. Tin smiled wide and nodded.
"Yeah?"
"Yeah." Can said nodding. Tin smiled and kissed Can deeply. "I think we should just skip the food and go straight to the bath." Can suggested. Tin smiled and nodded.
He picked Can up and held him by his thighs as Can wrapped his legs around Tin's waist. Can kissed him as they made their way to the bathroom.
