My Dear Friend,

I know that it has been a while since we've been in touch, but I do have to inform you that their time has come. They have to know who they are and where they belong. I cannot believe it has been 63 years since we have last seen each other, your grandmother must be proud of you and the way you are taking care of your grandchildren.

I wanted to let you know that some of the elves from Rivendell have come to visit the caves, waiting for you to come. You do remember Lord Elrond, right? He can't wait to see your grandchildren, and I must say the same for his daughter.

Something new has come into my hands and I want (Y/N) in this, as she is the one that has the right to know this more than anyone else, we are about to go on an adventure. I couldn't appreciate it more if you could let her come with me, not only to meet her ancestor's world but also to help her manifest her magic.

Please do write me back as soon as possible, as we don't have time to lose.

Sincerely,

Gandalf

This letter doesn't seem old, but my grandmother has a phone I don't understand why a friend would send a letter. What is this Rivendell? Elves? Lord Elrond? I don't mean to offend but does my grandmother's friend have mental problems?

This 'Gandalf' knows me, the name doesn't sound familiar and no one ever mentioned him, and about my ancestors... I looked at our Family Tree book, it looks older than I would like it to be. My grandmother never showed me the book, saying that it was forbidden to open it, wanting to forget that past that haunted her family, later hiding it in this basement in our farm here in the mountains.

My cousins and I are afraid to ask her about that past that she keeps mentioning, to say that she is crazy, never, but I can see fear and regret in her eyes when she tries to change the subject, my grandmother is a very stubborn and brave woman. I walk out of the basement with the books and the letter and sit on the sofa, thank god I am alone today.

*knock knock*

... Scratch that. I sigh in frustration as I get up and walk to open the door, it's impossible that they are already here, I stop thinking as I saw a tall man in front of me, he wore a tall pointed hat, a long grey cloak, and a silver scarf, he also had a long white beard. Oh god, how old is he? And how did he get here? What are those clothes?

The old man looked at me and smiled a bit, he seemed happy to see me, but have I seen him somewhere? "Good morning. Look at you, you have her hair and his beautiful elvish features." What the hell. I kept looking at him and stuttered a bit. "G-Good morning?" Why did I say that?
