When we got to the mall, Demi picked Tyler off my lap and carried him inside. "You shouldn't worry about Maddie. If she says anything to you tell me. I will talk some sense into her." Dallas whispered into my ear. "Don't she's your sister." I said. "And you're my niece and I don't take someone getting bullied to well. I saw what happened to Demi and I don't want you going down that road." Dallas said. "By the way mom and Maddie are meeting us here in a little. Mom texted me when I was cleaning Tyler." Demi said. "Okay." I said. I was so excited to do something with Demi and Dallas, but now Demi's mom and Maddie are coming. UGH... This is going to be harder than I thought. "I'm going to go look for Tyler, if you want to come you can. If you go somewhere else take Dallas." Demi said. "Actually, I want to go to Hot Topic, if that's okay with you." I said. "I want to come with you. It's been ages since I've been there." Demi said. "You're making yourself old." I said. "So, Tyler first or me?" I asked. "You. Now let's go." Demi said. "When will Max be here?" I asked. "I'll text him to meet us at Hot Topic." Demi said. "You and Dallas can start heading that way." Demi added. "Okay." I said.

"Dallas, what if Maddie treats me bad now?" I asked. "She won't if she shows up while we are in here. She likes to shop here." Dallas said. "Really?" I asked. "Yep. She also has penny boards." Dallas said. "Do you like to longboard?" Dallas asked. "Actually, I skateboard. I had a skateboard, but I broke it when in the center. I was always going to skate parks to learn from other people." I said. I had friends at one skatepark that were older than me and they were very protective, but Dallas doesn't need to know that. "Really?" She asked. "Yep." I said. "I would have never thought you skateboard." Dallas said. "Not many people know that." I said. We ended up outside of Hot Topic. "Are you going to go crazy in there?" Dallas asked. "You'll see." I said with a small smirk. "Oh no." Dallas said. I walked in and Dallas followed behind. "I never understood how people used to shop here." Dallas said. "I was actually very much afraid of shopping here when I was little. I slowly got used to shopping here though." I said. "Demi really did like to shop here." Dallas said. "That's cool." I said. "Do you know who this is being played?" Dallas asked. "Yes. It's Break The Cycle by Motionless In White." I said. Dallas looked at me and then turned to look at things. "How do you know?" Dallas asked. "I like their music." I said. "You listen to this stuff?" Dallas asked. "Yep." I said. "How?" Dallas asked. "I've gotten used to them." I said.

Finally, Demi came into Hot Topic with Tyler, Maddie, her mom, and I believe Max. "Who's the dude, Mom?" I asked. "This is Max. Max this is Raven." Demi said. "Hi." I said waving to him. Max waved back. "Why are we here first?" Maddie asked. "Raven wanted to come here." Dallas said. "Oh." Maddie said. "Demi, I will take Tyler to a children's store, so you can shop with Raven right now." Demi's mom said. "You will?" Demi asked. Her mother shook her head yes and Demi smiled. "You're going to go with Grandma to a toy store. Is that okay?" Demi asked Tyler. "Yes." Tyler said. Demi handed her mother Tyler; her mother then left the store with Tyler. "Now you can get anything you like." Demi said. "Really?" I asked. "Yes." Demi said. I looked around and smiled. "Well I need to go to another store for something else after this." I said. "That's fine." She said. "Okay." I said.

I walked around and kept finding band shirts I wanted. Demi was looking at me with a smile on her face. "I wish my mom was still here." I heard Maddie whisper. "Why?" I asked. "It doesn't involve you." Maddie said. "If you want a shirt give it to me; I'll say I want it and give it back to you when we leave." I said. "Really?" Maddie asked. "Yes." I said. I saw Dallas smile at me and give me a thumb up. "Thank you." Maddie said. "No problem." I said. "You know my sister adopting you will be a good thing." Maddie said. "Well it might, or it might not. I heard you own a penny board, I like to skateboard. Would you like to meet at a skatepark one day?" I asked. "Actually, that seems like fun." Maddie said. She looked at me and smiled. "I think we are going to get along just fine now." Maddie said. Demi was buying me anything that I said I liked. "Mom, am I getting a phone?" I asked. "Yes. You're getting an iPhone 6." Demi said. "Demi, can I have this shirt?" I asked holding up the shirt Maddie wanted. "Yes. Get it in your size." Demi said. I handed her the shirt because Maddie had already gotten it in her size. "Are you sure this is your size?" Demi asked. "I wanted it to be a looser shirt." I said. "I like sleeping in oversized shirts." I added. "Okay." Demi said. Maddie looked at me and smiled.
