Demi's POV

When I got the text from Maddie explaining what happened to Raven, I quickly got everyone into my car. I got Tyler up from his nap. He was a little cranky the whole drive to the hospital. It didn't help that I got stuck in traffic. "Can you text Maddie telling her we got stuck in traffic?" I asked Dallas. Dallas was in the front seat. I handed her my phone. "Yes." Dallas said. "Demi, what is going on?" Mom asked. "Raven broke her ankle. It's really bad, Mom. Maddie said that when touched blood was coming from it." I said. "Raven hurt?" Tyler asked. "Yes Tyler. Raven's hurt." I said. "Mommy will she get better?" Tyler asked. "Yes." I said. I was so nervous. I just got her. She's been hit and now broke her ankle under my watch. Well the foot wasn't under my watch, but she's still my kid. "Demi, they can't get Raven checked in because none of them are her legal guardians." Dallas said. "Are you kidding me?" I asked. "No." Dallas said. Now that's even better. "Never mind a doctor saw Raven's foot and is taking her back for surgery. When we get there, they should be done." Dallas said. "Okay. Tell Maddie to keep everything coming." I said. "Okay." Dallas said.

After 30 minutes of being stuck in traffic, we got to the hospital. I quickly found a parking spot and parked. I got out of the car. Then I had to get Tyler out. "Demi, go inside see if any news has come. I'll get Tyler." Dallas said. Dallas handed me my phone. "Okay. Here are my keys." I said. I handed Dallas my keys and then ran inside. I made it to the front desk. "What room is Raven Hailey Lovato in?" I asked. The lady at the front looked up at me and stopped what she was doing. "You're Demi Lovato." She said. "Yeah that's me. Now what room is my daughter in?" I asked. "She hasn't come out of surgery." She said. "Waiting room is over there." She said. I walked into the waiting room and saw Maddie, Brett, and some guy all sitting by each other. "Demi." Maddie said. Maddie walked over to me and hugged me. "Who are you?" I asked. "Chase. I'm a close friend of Brett's." Chase said with an accent. "Where are you from?" I asked. "Australia." Chase said. "Okay. How did you guys get here?" I asked. "Me ma'am." Chase said. "Okay. Do not call me ma'am. My name is Demi; you can call me Demi." I said. "Okay." He said. "Thank you, guys for getting her here." I said. "Where is everyone else?" Maddie asked. "They should be coming." I said. Then Dallas, Tyler, Mom, and Eddie all walked into the waiting room.

"How long has she been back there?" I asked. "A little over an hour." Brett said. "She should be done." I said. "I forgot to tell you Demi the doctor told us she needed a blood transfusion." Maddie said. "It was that bad?" I asked. "Yeah." Brett said. "What happened?" Dallas asked. "While she was doing a trick in the air someone else came up and hit her down. When she landed, she landed wrong on her ankle. She tried to get up, but fell back down. When I picked her up she had so much blood under her. That's when I knew we needed to take her here." Brett said. "I'm really glad you guys brought her here." I said.

"Parents of Raven Lovato." A doctor said. I stood up and walked over to the doctor. "I'm her mother." I said. "Okay. Well if the kids brought her in any later, she would only have a small chance at surviving. At this moment she is sleeping from the surgery. It took longer than we had expected because she had injured herself worse than we believed. She will get a cast on her foot. When she wakes up we will let her pick the color." The doctor said. "Can I go see her?" I asked. "Yes. You and two other people." He said. "Okay." I said. I walked back over to everyone. "How is she? Can we go see her?" Dallas asked. "She's okay. As of right now she should be asleep. I can go back to see her and two other people with me." I said. "Who do you want with you?" Maddie asked. "Brett. I would like to talk to you in there and Dallas can you come with me. Dallas, you and Raven seem pretty close." I said. "When Dallas and Brett come back out whoever wants to come in can." I added. "Okay." They all said.

We walked to Raven's room and I sat in the chair closest to her. "Thank you for getting her here, Brett." I said. "It's not a problem, Demi." Brett said. "If you guys got here any later she would have had a small chance at surviving." I said. I looked down at the ground. I started to cry while looking at the ground. "Demi, she seems like a fighter. She'll be okay." Dallas said. "She ran away twice already and now she's in the hospital. I'm a great mother." I said. "Demi. You are a good mom. If you didn't care you wouldn't have reacted the way you did when she ran away. You also wouldn't have come to make sure she was okay here in the hospital." Dallas said. "You seem like a good mother, Demi." Brett said. "Thank you." I said. "Dallas can you stay at my house. Take my car back. I'll text mom when she can get out." I said. "Demi, I'll go back home with Mom. Then we will come back and leave a car. I will then come give you your keys." Dallas said. I smiled at Dallas. "Thanks. Please make sure you put Tyler to bed. Stay with him." I said. "I will." Dallas said. "At least she looks normal." Dallas said. "Yeah." I said. "I'm just so nervous." I said. "Hey, it could have been worse." Dallas said. "You got a point." I said. "I'll leave so Maddie can come back here." Brett said. "I'll go too. I know you want to me this friend of Brett's." Dallas said. They both walked out the door talking to each other.

There was a knock on the door. I got up and opened it. Maddie walked in first with this Chase guy following her. "How are you holding up?" Maddie asked. "Okay." I said. "Are you sure?" Chase asked. "You can cry." Chase added. "I'm just scared." I said. "Why?" They both asked. "I never wanted this to happen. I just want her to wake up. I want to see her smile. It takes her a while to smile anyway." I said. "Demi, she'll wake up." Maddie said. "You're not a doctor. You don't know that." I said. "I may not be a doctor, but all that happened is she broke her ankle." Maddie said. "She also lost lots of blood. Maddie, they had to give her a blood transfusion. They didn't know how bad it was. They know if she didn't get here the time she did she wouldn't be able to really wake up. Knowing that doesn't calm me down." I said. "Thank you for getting her here in time." I said. "Demi, it means nothing to me. She was injured. Her getting better was the only thing on my mind." Chase said. "Mom and Dad want to see you too." Maddie said. "Okay. Can you two go and get them to come back here?" I asked. "Yeah." Chase said. "Demi, please don't do anything stupid or harmful." Maddie said. "I won't." I said. I hugged her. Chase left the room first. Maddie followed behind Chase.

"Demi, is everything okay?" Mom asked. "No. Mom, if anything bad happens to her, I don't know what I will do." I said. "Well, you can't stop caring for yourself. You have a son out in the waiting room who needs a healthy mom to take care of him. You and I both know that Raven would rather you care for Tyler if anything bad happened." Mom said. "You're right." I said. "Mother's are always right." She said. "Did Dallas tell you her plan on how to get a car here?" I asked. "Yes. If you want, I'll stay here with you." She said. "No. You go home and sleep. I'll be fine here all alone." I said. "You know we care about you." Eddie said. "Yeah. I know. Thanks for leaving your house, Eddie." I said. "This is my first grandchild. I will always make sure they are okay." Eddie said. "I love you two. I want Tyler in bed, so will you go home Mom?" I asked. "Yes. Eddie will come over to watch Tyler while Dallas and I aren't there." Mom said. "Okay." I said. I am forever grateful for them. I don't know what I would do without them. I know I wouldn't still be here if they weren't worried about me. "I love you guys." I said. "We love you too. Demi, be safe and don't do anything bad." Mom said. Mom kissed my forehead and hugged me while Eddie just hugged me. Then they left me.

So, after an hour everyone went home. Brett had his friend take him home. Brett really didn't want to leave. I feel so bad for the poor boy. I think he likes Raven. He is such a nice guy. I had to force him to leave. Dallas and Mom did do what they said the would do. Dallas made sure I was okay before leaving. Dallas told me she didn't want me to do anything stupid. I understand being nervous, but I have two kids. I have to be a good example for them. I can't have them thinking what I do is okay. I never thought I would be able to ever think these things. Or have someone really rely on me. Yeah, I had my fans, but they aren't my own kids. This was feeling was different. I guess that it's only a mother's love does exist. "Good night sweetie." I whispered. I had to sleep in a hospital chair. The doctor doesn't like people sleeping in a patience room, but he made me an exception. He would do the same for his daughter. I tried to fall asleep right after Brett left, but I couldn't. I was worried something bad would happen. I don't want to think the worse way possible. I just wanted her to wake up and to talk to me. I know that I really need to sleep, but I didn't. If something bad were to happen while I was asleep, I wouldn't stand myself.

I was finally able to get comfortable. I then fell asleep. I know I will regret this in the morning, but as long as Raven is okay I'll be okay. I can't really complain. At least I won't have a cast on my foot. For once. I just hope she isn't to mad when she wakes up. Or if she when she finds out she has to get a cast. I guess I should really let sleep take over and not worry anymore.
