Raven's POV

When I woke up, I noticed that I wasn't in my room. I remember braking my ankle. I don't really remember much after that. Brett, Chase, and Maddie were going to take me home, but my ankle was broken horribly. So, they took me to the hospital. That's where I am. The hospital. I turned to my right and saw Mom asleep. She must really care about me. I never thought someone would care about me. I guess this is what family does for each other. I went to touch Mom and moved wrong. I made a sound which made her wake up quickly. "You comfortable?" I asked. Mom looked at me and smiled. "You're okay." She said smiling. She got up and hugged me. "Mom, why'd you sleep in that chair?" I asked. "I wanted to make sure you were okay." Mom said. "You didn't have to stay overnight." I said. "Yes, I did. I wanted to make sure you were okay all night." She said. "Okay." I said. "Does anything hurt?" She asked. "No." I said. She cracked her back and some other bones. I made a face each time a bone cracked making her laugh. "Do you have clothes for me?" I asked. "Yes. Dallas brought me some last night. I made her get some shorts, so you don't have to deal with the cast bugging you." She said. "Okay." I said. "I'll go get your doctor, so we can go home." She said. "Good. I want to go home." I said. She laughed at me. "You're so funny." She said. "I don't think your body likes it here either." I said. "I don't think my body liked that chair last night either." She said. Then she cracked a finger. I made another face causing her to laugh. "I don't like the sounds of cracking bones." I said. "Watch this." She said. Then she did this weird thing with her arms. "Now that is cool." I said. "No cracking bones, but you'll deal with double joints?" She asked. "Yes." I said. "You're a strange child." She said. "Okay. Go get the doctor, so we can leave." I said. She laughed before walking out of the door.

Mom came back into the room with a doctor. "Hello Raven." The doctor said. "Hello." I said. I really just want to leave. I can't stand sitting here anymore. I just want to go home and sleep in my bed. "You will get a cast on your ankle and then you can go home." Doctor said. If he said his name I didn't hear it. I really don't care. Just get me out of here faster. "Okay." I said. "What color would you want for your cast?" The doctor asked. "Purple, please." I said. "I'll go get the things to use." He said. He then walked out of the room. "I'm so glad you're okay." Mom said. "Well, my ankle isn't." I said. "I would rather it be just your ankle than all of you." She said. "Aww, you care." I said. "I care because you're my daughter and I don't want anything bad to happen to you." She said. "Thanks Mom." I said. She got up and hugged me. "I can leave when he is done right?" I asked. "Yes." She said. "Thank god. I didn't want to be here anymore." I said. She laughed at me. "You aren't going to be able to do much at home." She said. "I will find a way." I said. "If you hurt yourself more, I don't want to hear you complaining." She said. "I won't." I said. "Good." She said. She sat back down in her chair and held my hand.

"Ready for a cast?" The doctor asked. "Yes sir." I said. "It shouldn't take to long, so Mom why don't you go sign her out." He said. "Okay." Mom said. Mom walked out of the room. Doctor dude started to put the cast on me. "If you ever feel pain take some Advil." Doctor said. "Okay." I said. "How long will I have this on?" I asked. "Two months, but four at most." He said. Why do I have to have it on that long? Are you kidding me? "Why is it that long?" I asked. "However, you broke your ankle really messed it up. I also recommend rehab after. You will be getting a pair of crutches to help walk." He said. "Okay." I said. He finished up putting my ankle into a cast. "I will be going to talk to your mother. She will be able to take you home when she comes in. She will have your crutches." He said. "Okay." I said. "Sit tight kid." He said. He walks out of the room and shuts the door. I cannot stand the smell any longer. Also, I feel as if I were going to go crazy. Is this what you're supposed to feel like. If not, I have no idea what is wrong with me.

"Ready to go?" Mom asked. Mom was holding crutches. "Yes. But I would like to change first." I said. Mom put down the crutches and grabbed a bag. "Let's get you changed." She said. "I can do it." I said. "Okay." She said. She threw me the bag. I barely caught it. She laughed at me. Me her daughter. "I need some help standing up." I said. She giggled. GIGGLED. What is wrong with her? "Okay." She said. She helped me up and out of the bed. "Turn around." I said. She turned around. "Thank you." I said. "No problem. If you don't hurry up, I'll turn around." She said. "Okay. Gees woman." I said. "Call me woman again and I'll turn around." She said. "Woman." I said. She turned around. I was not fully dressed. I only had on a shirt, but the shirt was long enough to cover me. "I wasn't kidding." She said. Now it was my turn to giggle. "I know." I said. "So, you still did it?" She asked. "Yep." I said. "You're going to get it." She said. "You can't get me I'm injured." I said. "Oh yeah?" She asked. "Yep." I said. "I'll get you." She said. "Actually, I called you woman because I need some help and didn't want to ask for it." I said. "You're so weird." She said. "I know. Now, can you help me put my pants on?" I asked. "Sure." She said. "I need underwear too." I said. "Okay." She said. "Please close your eyes." I said. "I will." She said. She walked over and helped me put my bottoms on. She did keep her eyes closed. "Thank you." I said. "Never be afraid to ask me something. Even if it seems stupid." She said. She hugged me close to her. She then handed me the crutches. "Let's get out of here." She said.
