When we got home, Marissa got Tyler out and went into the house first. Then Mom and I went into the house. Mom walked over to one of the couches and sat down. I sat across from her. I really didn't want to do this, but I know she wants to make sure everything is okay. "What's going on in that brain of yours?" Mom asked. "Well, I just don't want you to go back down that road." I said. "I get that, but there has to be something more to the story than you are letting on." Mom said. "I want to make sure you can care for Tyler when I leave. I don't want anything bad to happen to him." I said. "Is that all?" Mom asked. "No." I said. "What is it?" She asked. "I was like that when I first had Tyler. I made sure he would eat which caused me to rarely eat myself." I said. I put my head down. "Umm. Okay." Mom said. I heard her get up from where she was sitting and walk over to me. "Please don't worry about me." Mom said. She hugged me, but I pushed her off. "Don't worry?" I asked standing up. "You went to rehab for these things and you don't want me to worry?" I asked. Yes, at this point standing up hurt my foot, but what needed to be said was being said. "Kid, I'm the one who is supposed to worry." She said. "And who is supposed to worry about you. Your family comes over every now and then. You call Marissa and your family over when you want them here. And your management will only notice when you go back to work. I can see the signs. I've seen and had them before." I said. My eyes were feeling up with water. "You don't have to worry." Mom said. "I do. I don't want to lose someone who cares for me. You don't know what that is like. You've always had people who cared; I only had one person. I've already been in an adoption center, I don't want to go back." I said. I started to cry. I never let my emotions get the best of me. I turned away from Mom. I hated when people saw me crying. I guess Mom had stood up because I felt arms wrap around me. "Let's sit down." Mom said. Mom sat down and pulled me with her. I put my head on her shoulder while she rubbed my back. "Nothing is going to happen to me." Mom whispered. I just sat there and cried. "Everything is going to be okay." She whispered. "Did you have an eating disorder?" She asked. "Yes. It didn't get really bad, but I did have one." I said. "I really want you to be more open with me." She said. "I'll try." I said. "Good." She said. "How about we watch some tv?" She asked. "Sure." I said.

She got up and turned on the TV. When she sat back down, she pulled me into her to cuddle me. She had the remote in her hand. "What would you like to watch?" She asked. "Netflix." I said. "Okay." She said. "On there what would you like?" She asked. "Stranger Things." I said. She looked over at me and smiled. "I'll be right back. Do not start without me." Mom said. "Okay." I said. Mom got up and went up the stairs.

When Mom came down, she had on glasses. "You own glasses?" I asked. "Yes. I wanted to wear them." She said. "Wow. Okay." I said. "What?" She asked. "I didn't know someone could still look good in glasses." I said. "What is wrong?" She asked. "Nothing. I swear on my life." I said. She was looking at me like she didn't fully trust me. "You sure?" She asked. "Yes. Now sit down, so we can watch into Stranger Things." I said. She walked back over to me and made me cuddle her again. I turned on Stranger Things and started from the beginning. Brett told me about this and I wanted to see what the hype was over. I had Mom turn off the lights, so it would be scarier.

At one point there was a jump scare, and Marissa jumped out scaring us. "Come on, Marissa." Mom said. Mom screamed when Marissa jumped out, but I just jumped up. "You should have seen your faces." Marissa said laughing. "Get her." I whispered to Mom. Mom looked at me and smiled. Marissa turned around which is when Mom went at her. Mom tackled her to the floor and started to tickle her. "Stop Demi." Marissa said. Marissa was laughing so hard. Mom smiled and laughed some more. I paused Stranger Things, so Mom wouldn't miss anything. "I'm sorry." Marissa said. "Sorry not sorry!" I yelled. Mom stopped. They both now were looking at me. "What it's a good song?" I asked. "She likes my music!" Mom happily said. "I'm very surprised she knew your stuff." Marissa said. "Mom, has a good voice." I said. "Thank you." Mom said. "Well miss, 'I hate pop music', is there anyone else you like?" Marissa asked. "P!nk." I said. "Really?" Marissa asked. "Yep." I said. "Well, we have to the Grammy's and she'll be there." Mom said. "Really?" I asked. "Yes." She said. "Oh my god. Mom, I could meet her." I said. I was completely fangirling, and I didn't care. I was so happy. I kind of grew up on P!nk. Not kind of I did grow up on her now that I think about it. This is going to be awesome. "I guess we have a little fangirl." Marissa said. "It's so cute to see her fangirl though." Mom said. "Where is Tyler?" Mom asked. "He was very tired and went to sleep." Marissa said. "Okay." Mom said. "What time is it?" I asked. "Almost 8." Marissa said. "Can we stay up all night?" I asked. "No. We will go to sleep at 10 because tomorrow you have school." Mom said. "School?" I asked. "Yes. I got you a tutor and she'll be coming here." Mom said. I really don't want to do that. "Okay." I said. "Your classes are online, but I got her just incase you need help." Mom said. I really hate school. "What about Tyler?" I asked. "She'll be helping Tyler most of the time. She is mostly here to help Tyler, but she does know high school things. So, if you have any questions you can ask her." Mom said. "Do I really have to have a tutor?" I asked. "Yes. I would help you, but I drop out. I was home schooled." Mom said. "Can't Marissa help me?" I asked. "I have to work kid." Marissa said. "I don't want to do that." I said. "But I thought we agreed to this?" Mom asked. "When?" I asked. "When I first adopted you. You said you wouldn't mind being home schooled, and I didn't want you turning into me. I got you a tutor, so you could have help." Mom said. I looked at Mom and glared at her. "If you keep acting like this you are going to be grounded. Do you understand?" Mom asked. I just kept glaring at her. "Go upstairs. I'm not going to deal with this attitude. You are grounded. Give me your phone." She said holding her hand out. I put it in her angrily and stood up. I walked up the stairs without my crutches. Man, did that hurt.

When I got to my room, I opened the door. I walked over to my bed and sat down on it. My foot was killing me. That's what happens when I'm stupid and don't grab my crutches. I laid down and pulled a blanket over me. I heard my door open and someone walk in. I turned my back away from door. "I'm sorry Raven. I just want the best for you." Mom whispered. "I know you can hear me." Mom said. I kept my back facing her. "I understand that you are mad. I would be too, but I want you to get an excellent job." Mom said. "Okay." I said. "I'm glad you didn't run." She said. "My foot hurt walking up the stairs." I said. "Well, I'm glad I brought these." She said. She put the crutches next to my bed. "Thanks." I said. "It's not a problem." She said. "I'm sorry, if I came off rude." I said. "I really am just glad you didn't run. You don't get how mad I would have gotten, if you ran." She said. "I know how mad you would have gotten. I mean I've seen it now three times, but you kept your cool. I don't know how you did that; if I was you I would have gotten into my face." I said. "I have to learn to control myself around you. You are younger than me and I have to act like the adult." She said. I turned around, so I was facing her. "It's nice to see your face." Mom said. "Will you stay with me?" I asked. "I'll stay until you fall asleep." She said. "That's okay." I said. "Move over some; I want to cuddle some." Mom said. I moved over so she could lay next to me. She rubbed my back, and it was slowly making me tired. I fell asleep quickly.
