After the long drive, with me jamming out the whole time, we made it to the restaurant. Redbird. Seemed fancy. Why are we here? I guess we are all kind of dressed for here, but I think we could be fancier. I mean they could; I'd just have to find a way to be fancier with my cast. We all got out of the car. I got out without any help. I guess I'm slowly getting used to it already. Mom and Marissa walked next to me because of the paparazzi. This is when I miss my old life. I know Mom doesn't want me listening to them, but when they're screaming at us it's hard not to. I know none of you know what that's like, but it sucks. I wish I still had a normal life. I enjoy having Demi as my mom, but I do like having privacy. I know at some point I'm going to go off on them. They were slowly getting closer and closer. Marissa opened the door for Mom and I. The stupid paparazzi were still taking photos.
When we got inside, Maddie saw us. "Come on, we got a table all ready. Dallas had me stand out here to wait for you guys." Maddie said. "Is Mom and Dad here?" Mom asked. "Yes." Maddie said. "You're going to meet Eddie." Mom said. "Okay." I said. Then we all started to head to the table. I'm really hating the crutches. They get in the way all the time. They are also so stupid. I've broken my ankle before and never had to have some crutches. I just want to walk on it. I guess Mom understood that I was mad, and walked next to me. "What's wrong?" She asked. "I want to walk." I said. "Why?" She asked. "I've had this happen before, and got to walk. I don't understand why I can't walk." I said. "Just wait until you can." Mom said. "I want to do it now. It doesn't make sense." I said. "You will be okay." Mom said. "Yeah right." I said. "Let me see those." She said. I handed her the crutches. "Walk. If it hurts, I'm going to give you these back." She said. "You're actually going to let me walk?" I asked. "Yes. Now let's go." She said. "Don't I need something to protect the cast?" I asked. "You're right." She said. "We will go get you one after this." She said. "For now, you must use these." She said. She handed them back to me. "Don't worry kid." She said. "Okay." I said.
Finally, we made it to the table. Mom and Marissa hugged everyone before sitting down. I figured out how to push the chair out and sit down without help. Mom made sure I was okay before turning her attention to everyone else. I was in between Mom and Maddie; Dallas, Tyler and Marissa were all sitting across from us. Then, who I think is, Eddie and Dianna were at the ends. Marissa was across from Mom, Dallas across from Maddie, and Tyler across from me. Dianna was sitting near Mom and Marissa while Eddie was by Dallas and Maddie. "This will bug me. Who are you?" I asked 'Eddie'. I hate not knowing things if you didn't know. "I am Eddie." He said. I was right this whole time. "Way to be nice about asking that." Mom said. "Well no one told me who he was, so I took it upon myself to ask." I said. "I could see that." Mom said. "It's fine, Demi. Like she said no one introduced me. I think she has a point as to asking me that." Eddie said. "Yeah Demi. If there was a strange man sitting with my family, I didn't know, I'd ask that." Maddie said. "Maddie, that doesn't help." Mom said. "Actually, she makes a perfectly fine argument. Raven, would have never known who Eddie was, if she hadn't asked." Dianna said. Mom was looking down at her hands. "Sorry I yelled at you." Mom said. "It's fine. I would have said the same thing. I actually would have said it worse than what you did." I said. Mom looked up at me. She had tears in her eyes. "You are not allowed to cry anymore, woman." I said. Mom smiled. "I hate being called woman." She said. "I know. I wanted to make you smile. I don't hate you. Actually, I don't think I could ever hate you. You gave me a normal life." I said. "That's good." Mom said. "Let's forget what just happened and have a normal time." I said. The waiter came over and took our orders. Soon she came back with drinks. Mind you everyone but Mom, Maddie, Tyler, Dianna, and I were drinking. "They drink around you?" I asked Mom. "It's okay." Mom said. "What if they trigger you?" I asked. "They don't." She said. "But they could." I said. "Trust me they won't." She said. I shook my head. She's in denial. I may not actually know what it's like, but I know people get triggered easily. "Tell me if they trigger you at all." I said. "That is supposed to be the other way around." She said. "I know." I said. "You better not get into drugs or alcohol." She said. "Still can't promise anything." I said. "It's good to know you aren't lying." She said. "I do lie. It's just, I don't like lying over stupid things. If I don't know what I will be like, I'm not going promise something." I said. "Good to know." She said. "I just hope you don't get into anything bad." She added. "I won't. I can promise you that." I said. She smiled at me before talking to Marissa. I didn't really want to talk to anyone, so I just made faces to Tyler.
