I woke up the next morning to the smell of food. I walked down the stairs, to see mom cooking. "How's it going?" I asked. Mom jumped and made a slight sound. JUMPED. I can't believe I made her jumped. "Didn't mean to scare you." I said. "It's fine. I didn't really expect to see you up this early." She said. "Well, I have school." I said. "After breakfast you need to change because the tutor will come over soon." She said. "Did Marissa go home?" I asked. "Yes. She also wants you to know she believes you can do your work." She said. "Okay." I said. "Are you going anywhere?" I asked. "I do have to go to the studio, which by the way I'm now just telling management about you and Tyler." Mom said. "I will be here to make sure it's the tutor and not a random person." Mom added. "Okay." I said. "I'll help Tyler get ready and then I'll get ready. You'll have to distract him for me." She said. "Okay." I said. "Can you go wake Tyler up?" She asked. "Sure, who's room is he in?" I asked. "Mine." She said. "Okay." I said.

I walked up to Mom's room, and slowly opened the door. I walked over to the bed. When I saw Tyler asleep, I wanted to walkaway out of the room. I really didn't want to wake Tyler up; he looked so cute. I saw my phone on the Mom's side table and picked it up to take a photo. I put it back down before waking Tyler up. "Tyler, it's time to wake up." I said shaking him a little. He opened his eyes some. "Cawwy me?" He asked. "Yes." I said. I picked him up and then went back downstairs.

When I got back downstairs, Mom was waiting for us. "I got him." Mom said. She took Tyler out of my arms and went to the table for breakfast. Mom put Tyler into a booster seat. Mom sat next to him, so she could help him eat. I would sit next to him too. "How did you sleep?" Mom asked Tyler. "Good." Tyler said. "When I get home from work, I'll have some friends over to hep me get your room set up." Mom said. "Otay." Tyler said. Do I think Tyler understood Mom at all? Not a chance he understood what she meant. "Will this be after the tutor?" I asked. "No. They are coming while you two are doing school work." Mom said. "Okay." I said. I grabbed some food, and slowly ate. Nothing was wrong this is how I normally ate. I know some people with eating disorders eat slowly, but I just do it because why not. I guess Mom was thinking that this was something bad because she kept watching me.

When I was finished I stood up and walked into the kitchen to put my plate into the sink. "Raven, I want to talk to you when you come back down." Mom whispered. Mom got Tyler out of the booster seat and then went to put their plates into the sink. I started in my walk up to my room. I heard two pair of feet coming up the stairs. I guess Mom was making Tyler, walk up the stairs on his own.

I got to my room and went into my closet to look for an outfit. It took me a few minutes to pick what I wanted to wear. I then went back into my room to change. I heard a knock on my door. "Come on in." I said. The door opened and in walked Mom. "Are you okay with eating?" Mom asked. "Yes." I said. "Do you have an eating disorder?" Mom asked. "No. I just have always eaten slowly." I said. "That can be a cause of an eating disorder." Mom said. "I know. I just eat slowly, but I eat a lot during the day. Mostly they are snacks." I said. "I hope you know that you can talk to me about whatever you want." She said. "I know." I said. She walked over to me and hugged me. "I just don't want anything to happen to you." She said. "I know you don't." I said. I am so glad that someone actually cares about me. "Mom, I won't do anything stupid to myself." I said. "Really?" Mom asked. "Yes." I said. "What about your leg?" Mom asked. "I didn't do this to myself, someone else did it." I said. Mom smiled at me. "That's good. I trust you, so just don't lose this trust." She said. "I won't. I promise." I said. I hugged her, and she hugged me back. "I see you have been walking without your crutches. We will go talk to the doctor and see if we can get you a boot to wear." She said. "Okay." I said. "Need any help?" She asked. "I just need some help staying up." I said. "I'll help you." She said. "Good." I said. She helped me stay up some and then when we were done she left.

I crutched down the stairs because my foot was starting to hurt. When I got downstairs I saw, Mom on the phone with someone. "Who are you talking to?" I asked. Mom looked at me and put a finger up to her mouth to shush me. "I will be there later today to get the boot for Raven." Mom said. Mom went quite for a little bit and she looked over at me. "Thank you." Mom said. Mom then hung up. "I'm not going to be here when Marissa and the other's come over. I did tell Marissa what was happening and who should be here. She knows that you and Tyler will be doing school work when she's here." She said. "Okay." I said. "I should have your boot when I come home." She said. "I kind of figured that out." I said. She looked at me as if she wanted to hit me. "Be good for your tutor." She said. "Come on, she'll love me." I said. "Not if you're like that." She said. "Mom." I said in a whiney tone. "Don't mom, me." She said. "Fine woman." I said. She smirked at me. "What did I say about calling me woman?" She asked. "I don't remember." I said. I really don't think she ever said anything about being called woman. I know she doesn't like it, but did she ever say anything. Well with how she is acting I wouldn't be to surprise if she did something to me. She slowly walked over to me. When she went to tackle me on the couch someone knocked on the door. "I'll get you back." Mom said. She pointed at me before getting the door.

"Hello." Mom said. "Hi, I'm Lori Norris. I am the tutor you talked to." A woman said. I crutched over some, to see what she looked like. I did crutch as quietly as I could, but hopefully it didn't make a single sound. I couldn't really see anything because Mom was completely in the door way. "Come meet your tutor, Raven." Mom said. I crutched out of my hiding spot to Mom and the tutor. When I got to the door, Mom moved over some. "Hi." I said. "Hi, Raven." Lori said. "Why don't you come in. I'll go get Tyler from his play room." Mom said. Lori walked into the house and sat on a couch while I stood there awkwardly. "How old are you?" Lori asked. "16." I said. "Tell me about yourself." Lori said. "I haven't really been back to a school since I turned 13." I said. "Why?" Lori asked. "I had to help raise Tyler." I said. "Okay." She said. Not many people like the fact that I dropped out of school. I guess I understand because you need to be educated to keep going, but I was home schooled. That was a rule Kathy had. If I dropped out of school, I had to go online. It was worth it. I got to help her out whenever she needed, and I got a lot of school work done. "If you need any help, just get me. I'll be working with Tyler most of the time." Lori said. "Got it." I said. "If you do eventually need help you can always come and ask me questions." She said. "Okay." I said. "You can also come to me, if you don't want to talk to Demi." She said. "Okay." I said.

Mom finally came down with Tyler. Thank god; I didn't want to talk to this woman anymore. "This is Tyler." Mom said. Tyler looked at Lori, but then hid his face in Mom's shoulder. "Hi. I'm Lori." Lori said. Tyler just shook his head. He is not going to like having a tutor. I can't wait to see how he acts when I'm not around. "Tyler say hi." Mom whispered. "No." He said. "I want Waven." He whispered. "You can go to her once you say hi." Mom said. "No. I want Waven." He said. "No." Mom said. Suddenly Tyler put his head into her neck and did something. Mom put him down and Tyler ran straight over to me. "He just bit me." Mom said. She was rubbing where I think he bit her. "He doesn't like it when he can't be around me." I said. "Give me him." Mom said. She looked angry. I would be too though, but he did say he wanted me twice. "No." I said. "Raven, give him to me." Mom said. "No." I said. "If you don't you are grounded." Mom said. Lori was just standing there. "I've got nothing to lose." I said. "Listen to your mother." Lori said. "You stay out of it." I said. I pointed a finger at Lori. "Don't talk to her like that." Mom said. I just walked up to my room; Mom and Lori followed me to my room. I walked into my room and slammed the door shut before they could get into it. I even locked the door. "Open this door!" Mom yelled. "No." I said. I held Tyler close to me and cried. I had my back towards the wall and slowly slid down until I was sitting. I got to hold Tyler even closer to me. "Raven, this is not over we will talk when I get home." Mom said on the other side of the door. I just sat there very quietly. "Waven, no more cwying." Tyler said. Tyler swiped some of the tears away from my face. "I'll stop." I said. I hugged him and rubbed his back. Soon, he was a sleep in my arms.

"Raven, I know you are in there. Come out and eat." Lori said. "No." I said. "Please Raven." She pleaded. "No." I said. "Please." She said. "No. I'm going to nap." I said. "Demi won't be to happy to here about that." She said. "I know. Right now, she isn't too happy with me, so I have nothing to lose." I said. "You're right. Have a good nap." She said. I heard her walk away. THANK GOD. I walked over to my bed and laid Tyler down before going to change my clothes. I walked over to my closet and pulled out a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. I quickly changed and then went over to my bed. I laid down and pulled Tyler near me. I was always able to sleep better knowing that he was okay. I rubbed his back and slowly fell asleep myself.
