Chapter Three - Susan Marie Bones

Gone. In the First Wizarding War the Bones family had perished except for Amelia Bones and her niece Susan. Deciding that it would be best for the girl, Amelia raises Susan as her own and they live together in an average home. Susan knew her parents... or at least she remembers bits and pieces about them and what her aunt tells her. When she turned 11 and she got her letter from Hogwarts both were overjoyed, but Susan was nervous. She didn't like crowds or attention. Her aunt Amelia assures her that everything will be just fine.

So, today would be the day Susan and Amelia would set off for Diagon Alley to get anything and everything the young girl would possibly need at Hogwarts while she stayed there. The Bones were certainly not hurting on money by any means, so the list of items that had come with the letter wouldn't be a problem for the young girl to get. When the family had perished their worldly possessions and money were left to Amelia and Susan to dive out. The aunt and niece duo would travel by floo powder since that would be the quickest way to get to Diagon Alley. Susan fiddles with the edge of her cloak.

"I've never traveled by floo powder aunt Amelia... I'm nervous. What if I end up in the wrong place?" The young girl tries to not stutter over her words. Her aunt gives her a reassuring squeeze on her shoulder and smiles.

"Don't worry it's easy. All you have to do is grab a handful and while standing in the fireplace you will say where you want to go very clearly. That's all there is to it." Her aunt cheerfully explains to her. Susan nods and prepares herself to go to Diagon Alley.
