Chapter Twenty-Five - Quidditch

Richelle Potter was known for getting up early in the morning to run around the lake, but she was also known for going back to sleep as soon as she was done. That's why when people passed the Gryffindor table that morning, they had to do a double-take when they saw the normally energetic girl sitting beside her brother and his friends glaring at her breakfast like it just killed her favorite pet. Hermione wisely stated, "Harry, you should eat something." Ron and Richelle nodded their heads in agreement.

Harry replied, "I'm not hungry." Riles looked at her brother and glared at him.

She huffed, "Harry James Potter, you eat something at least." Everyone who was near the irritated girl slowly scooted away from her. 

Professor Snape sauntered up to the four Gryffindors and wished Harry good luck, "Good luck today, Potter. Then again, now you've proven yourself against a troll. A little game of Quidditch should be easy work for you. Even if it is against Slytherin."

Riles growled out, "Be nice to my brother, Dracula." The sour comment from the normally hyperactive girl threw the professor off and he walked away from the group. Riles noticed that Hermione and Harry were staring after the dour professor and asked, "What are you two looking at?"

Harry ignored his sister and said to Hermione, "That explains the blood."

Hermione questioned, "Blood?"

Harry replied, "Listen. Last night, I'm guessing Snape let the troll in as a diversion..." Riles completely ignored her brother and his friends after that.

The other girls walked into the great hall that morning after waiting for twenty minutes for Riles to show up, but she was nowhere in sight. Once they get in the great hall they see the rambunctious Gryfinndor already there sitting at the Gryffindor table beside her brother looking rather deadly. The three girls looked at their friend confused. 

Since when is Richelle Potter the first one of the four girls awake? Since when did Richelle Potter not look happy? The girl in question looked over at the door when it opened and she waved her friends over to join her. It was surprising how quickly the girl's mood changed and everyone around her let out a breath of relief when the girl returned to how she normally acted. They walked over to her and they sit beside her. Guin states, "You're here early Riles."

"I'm always awake early. I normally run around the lake and then go back to bed, but my brother needed me today since it's his first Quidditch game." That information had seemed to have slipped the other three's minds.

Susy stated, "I completely forgot that was today!" The other two nodded their heads in agreement.

Ro encouraged, "You'll do great Harry! We'll all be rooting for you!" The other two said encouraging things to the brother of their best friend as well. Riles looked at her three best mates with love in her eyes and a bright smile on her face.

She stated, "I love you guys!" The girls looked at her and smiled at the rambunctious Gryffindor and said their words of love back to her. She shyly admitted, "I also made us all matching Gryffindor clothes." The girls all smiled.

Guin stated, "I've been wearing red and gold since before I could walk!"

Ro added, "I'm already rebelling against my family by being friends with you three, and by being in Ravenclaw, so might as well add wearing Gryffindor colors to the growing list of things my parents are mad at me for." That made Harry look at her nervously, but the girls just laughed so he relaxed. After all, he didn't want anyone in trouble because of him.

Harry said genuinely, "Thanks, girls. I really appreciate your help." He hugged each of them and kissed Riles' forehead before going back to his breakfast after a quick glare from his sister. The seven first years looked up at the sound of an owl and saw Hedwig flying towards them. The bird drops the peculiar-looking package in her owner's hands before flying off. Hermione questioned, "Bit early for mail, isn't it?"
