We will both be writing this chapter.
After dinner was done, the prefects were instructed to show the first years to their rooms. The prefects from every house stands up and says, "First years, follow me!" No one noticed the three girls from the three different house that stayed back for a moment to whisper in each other's ear to meet each other later on tonight before following their house prefects to wherever they had to go.
In Guinevere's P.O.V.:
I quietly followed behind the other students in Slytherin and listened to what the prefect was telling us. Once we got in front of the entrance to the common room we were told the password and also told it changes every fortnight. Great. The first years filed in and I was awestruck by the room. It was right underneath the Black Lake, which made the room seem dark and eerie. In the middle of my examination of the room I was interrupted by someone clearing their throat behind me. I turn around to see a short girl with brown bobbed hair and the face of a pug.
"Yes?" I question the sneering girl.
"You're one of my roommates so you need to come choose your bed in the room." She tells me.
"Oh thanks! I'm Guinevere Weasley," I stick my hand out for her to shake and this makes her nose scrunch into her face even more.
"I'm not shaking your hand Weasley," she says my name in a disgusting tone. I put my hand back by my side and follow the rude girl to the room I would apparently be sharing with her and two other girls that didn't seem to be to pleased with me being in their presence. I claim one of the beds in the far corner of the room and swiftly exit the room deciding it would be better for me to sit in the common room for now. I sit down one of the black leather sofas and patiently wait until it's time to meet up with Ro and Riles.
In Rosabelle's P.O.V.:
We made it up a decent amount of stairs before we stopped in front of a portrait of an eagle with a blue background. I rolled my eyes at the entrance and mumbled, "Because that's not bloody obvious." We walk through the painting and the whole bloody place looked like a maze. The prefects showed us how to overcome the obstacles. As we were walking through, I couldn't help, but think that Riles and Guin would get a kick out of this.
The male prefect stated, "Now, the password changes every time that door closes. You have to use your quick wit in order to get in. The mazes also changes once a month. It will be your duty to figure out the true path, but if you do, in fact get lost, the room itself will notify one of the prefects or a professor after it's been five hours." I calmly raise my hand. He looks at me and asks, "Yes, Miss. Malfoy?"
I question, "Has anyone other than Ravenclaw students been able to enter on their own?" The other students looked at me like I grew another head.
He sneered, "Of course not! Ravenclaw is know for their intelligence after all!"
I counter, "Doesn't mean people from the other houses aren't intelligent! In fact, I'm sure after Richelle Potter finds where the dorms are, she won't need me in order to get in. Same with Guinevere. They are both very intelligent and they're a Gryffindor and Slytherin!"
An asian girl, that looked no older than a second year, stopped the prefect from whatever he was going to say, "That's enough Kirby! She is a first year and she does have a point!" The prefect shut up and continued on with his tour. After it was over, Cho walked up to me and introduced herself. I politely introduced myself and we talked for a few minutes before I retired for the night. I set a spell on my wand to awaken me at midnight, so I could go see my friends.
In Susan's P.O.V.:
After the sorting all of the first years had to follow the prefects to their house's common room. I didn't quite catch the name of the prefect leading us, but I suppose I can ask later. We were all lead down one of the many hallways in the castle until we reached a pile of barrels. The prefect took her wand out and demonstrated how to make the correct beat on the barrels to get inside. The tune would be changed every day so it was important to remember the code. Once inside I felt at ease. The common room was cozy and reminded me of a greenhouse with all the plants that hung from the walls. The first years were quickly divided into groups and sent to rooms that we would have for the year. There was only one other person I would be sharing my room with since there weren't very many newcomers to Hufflepuff.
"Hi! My name is Megan! It's a pleasure to meet you!" A girl around my age says cheerfully and shakes my sweaty hand.
"I'm Susan. It's nice to meet you as well," I meekly reply
"Do you mind if I take the bed by the window?" Megan asks. I shake my head and lay on the other bed. My eyes grow heavy and I drift off into sleep.
In Richelle's P.O.V.:
Percy Weasley. My best friend's brother. My house's prefect. Oh joy. Please note my sarcasm. I wasn't really paying attention, but I understood and caught ever word the man said. I had the gift of not having to pay attention, but still comprehend what is happening. A gift that annoyed my brother greatly. Percy showed the common room and told us which way was to the dorms. I just followed the boys figuring I was going to be sleeping the same bed as my brother, but of the older girls caught my arm and drug me up to the girl's dorms.
I complained, "I am used to sleeping with my brother and I won't be able to sleep otherwise!"
She mischievously (I like this one already) said, "I'm Katie Bell and we are NOT allowed into the boys' dorms, but we can't exactly what we don't know happened in the first place." I quickly understood what the said and nodded my head. She turned and left the room. That's when I noticed the audience that I had.
I chirped, "Hiya! I'm Richelle Potter, but please call me Riles!" The other girls quickly nodded.
"Hermione Granger."
"Lavender Brown."
"Parvati Patil." I nod in response to them as I flopped onto my bed setting my watch to wake me up at midnight, so I can go see my friends. Then, I pulled out my potions textbook and started reading it.
In 3rd P.O.V.:
At exactly midnight, all three girl woke up or stopped what they had been doing and got up. They quickly made sure the coast was clear before sneaking out of the dorms. Each of them leaving their portraits opened just a smidge (Anyone see what I did there? No? I'll see myself out.). They quietly rushed down the stairs/halls to meet each other. Guinevere was the first to make it to their meeting spot followed by Richelle and Rosabelle. Each girl took a turn on telling the others how their housemates and dorms were.
After Rosabelle's tale, Richelle commented, "I could easily get into your common room and talk circles around that guy!" Rosabelle assured her that she knew that she could do just that. All three girls laughed at Richelle's encounter with an older student.
After each girl had taken a turn retelling their own tale of what happened when they got to their common room, they all hugged each other and agreed to meet back up before breakfast. Then, they made a quickly dash to their respected houses. Richelle quietly went up the boy's stairs and went to her brother's room where she laid beside him. She curled into him and his arms instantly wrapped around her.
