Riles took it upon herself to get the costumes all set up for her girls. She was going to make them good too and nothing cheap or fake. Everything had to be legit. The brave ravenette bounced her ways to the dungeons by herself. She flings the door open and skips up to Dracula.
"Dracula! Do me a favor please!" It was then that she noticed the male blonde in the room with them. She sneered at him and shooed him out. The Slytherin prince didn't want to be punched again, so he left without complaining.
The dour man looked at the brave girl and drawled, "What do you want now?"
"I wish for you to buy me some material!" She hands him a list of everything she needs. He looked at it and sneered.
He asked, "What is this for?"
She replies, "I'm making stuff for my girls, of course!" He rolls his eyes and agrees to get what she asked for. She got her supplies a week and a half later. He had it delivered to her by mail. She examined it and squealed happily. She quickly took the girls' measurements and she took her equipment to her dorms. Luckily for her it was a weekend, so she got started instantly.
She had a month and a half to get all four costumes ready. She started with Susan's because it was the easiest one to do. She spent a week on each of the costumes, since she also had classes and she had to keep it a secret from her friends. She made the costumes late at night while everyone else was asleep. As it drew closer to the holiday, the other three girls picked up on the cheerful Gryffindor's fatigue. Unfortunately, the girls didn't know what the cause for it was. They tried asking, but only got a hidden tired smile as a reply. She had a week left and she still needed to put some finishing touches on Susy's costume as well as get her own. She wanted the outfits to be a surprise, but she realized that she would need to help her girls with the makeup and putting the costumes on. She decided to let know the day before the holiday, then have them meet her in her dorm the following day to help get them ready. She finished all of the accessories for Susy's outfit that night. The next morning, she woke up earlier than normal and went to the dungeons. She knocked on Professor Dracula's classroom and was disappointed when he didn't answer the door.
She pouted before pushing her magic forward to open the door. She was surprised that it worked and she was even more surprised to see that the dour man kept an change of clothes in a cabinet behind his desk. She smiled triumphantly and rushed out of the room. She ran back to her dorms and put away the costumes to give the girls later in the week.
Finally, it was time for the girls to retrieve the costumes that their young Gryffindor friend had been working on so hard. She wrapped all them the night before and she gave them to her owl, named Alexander because he reminded the young girl of Alexander the Great from Muggle lore. She told him to deliver them at lunchtime instead of breakfast. The owl that matched his master's hair nodded his head in acknowledgement. She rushed to breakfast and waited for her friends to join her.
Then, they made it through the morning classes with the Gryffindor becoming more and more giddy as the morning pasted. Her friends looked on in amazement as they have never seen their friend this hyper before. Even, her own brother was having trouble hiding his amazement. Finally, it was time for lunch and the ravenette was practically bouncing off the walls and no one could figure out why until a beautiful black owl swooped in and dropped packages into the ravenette's friends' laps.
Everyone was watching them by this time and the trio looked over at their excited friend, who was watching them with great interest. Rosabelle questioned, "Do you what these are Riles?" The ravenette nodded as petted her faithful owl happily.
Richelle demanded, "Open them!!" She was bouncing up and down in her seat. The girls glanced one more time at each other before tearing into the packages. All three of them gasped when they saw what was inside.
Guinevere asked, "Did you buy these Riles?" The ravenette shook her head.
"I made them. Do you like them?" Susan nodded excitedly and hugged her friend tight with the rest of the quad joining them into their group hug. The ravenette smiled softly at her friends.
Susan questioned, "Where is yours?"
"In my dorms. It's a surprise." She winked holding a finger to her lips.
Rosabelle pondered, "This is why you've been so tired lately!" The ravenette smiled sheepishly at her friends with a small nod. They hugged the life out of their friend and sighed. The rest of the day passed peacefully with the young Gryffindor practically glowing in happiness.
The girls woke up bright and early the following morning. The three in the other houses rushed to the Gryffindor common room. Riles was already there waiting for them. She had decided to keep the outfits with her since she would be helping them with the costumes anyway. She quickly let them in and led them to her dorms. They gasped when they saw her sewing station that had mannequins wearing their costumes to keep them from wrinkling.
The Gryffindor ordered, "Ro, you go shower first. Then, Guin followed by Susy and finally ending with me. Please don't take forever. We do need to do other things." The girls all nodded and Ro went in the direction that Riles pointed was the bathroom. Riles went back to work finishing homework from the night before while they waited.
About fifteen minutes later, Ro walked out wearing her undergarments with a towel around her hair. Guin rushed in to shower, while Riles got up and got straight to work helping Ro into her angel costume. Then, she used light makeup on the Ravenclaw and stood back to admire her work before she started to put her hair up in curlers that she would wear until they were ready for the day. The process continued as Guin stepped out of the shower. Before too long the opposites of the group were completely dressed up with the princess shyly stepping out of the bathroom. The young ravenette helped Susy get ready before going into the bathroom to get ready herself. About thirty minutes later, the ravenette stepped out of the bathroom and the rest of the group gasped.
Ro asked, "How did you get that?"
The Gryffindor answered with a sheepish smile, "I stole it." The girls burst out laughing.
Guin questioned, "How did you get the material to make the outfits?"
She replied, "I talked Dracula into buying them for me." The girls failed to contain their giggles.
Susan stated, "Well, we have to go and show him what he agreed to." That caused the girls to laugh more.
They all went running to Dracula's office to show him their outfits. The young Slytherin was the first to be there quickly followed by an out of breath Gryffindor closely followed by the rest of their quad. The girls catch their breath as the crazy Gryffindor knocks on the door.
The dour professor answered the door and had to do a double take. Before him stood a princess, an angel, a demon, and were those his missing robes? He drawls, "What is the meaning of this?"
The brave, some would call her foolish, Gryffindor explained, "It's Halloween Dracula!" He rubs a hand over his tired face.
"Yes. I am aware of that. The question still stands. Why are you dressed up so ridiculously and why are you here of all places?"
Riles answered, "We wanted to show you that your efforts of buying me the material I needed was very much appreciated." The man pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance knowing that he had been tricked by the young Gryffindor.
He drawled sternly, "Very well, but those costumes of yours better not get in the way of your learning or others'!"
Riles accepted, "Of course they won't sir!" The other three nodded their agreement.
