We will both be writing this chapter as well.
The three girls, that had met at Diagon Alley and became instant friends, walked into the Great Hall holding each others' hands. After all, they had promised to not let something as silly as the sorting stop them from being friends. If Rosabelle and Guinevere could put aside their family feud in order to be friends, they could look past house prejudices.
They had been in the back of the line, so McGonagall didn't notice the three girls walking hand-in-hand. The older students did notice them as did the other professors. They were a sight to see too. A platinum blonde with blue-gray eyes, a raven haired with killing curse green eyes, and a fiery, redhead with brown eyes.
The students and professors recognized the blonde and the redhead. I mean, who couldn't? They were obviously a Malfoy and a Weasley. They didn't need the sorting hat to tell them that. However, the students didn't recognize the girl in the middle, but the professors did. She had the eyes of the late Lily Potter and the messy, dark hair of the late James Potter. Since, she was, in fact, a female, she could only be The-Girl-Who-Lived. The teachers, who had taught the marauders and the Weasley twins, knew they were going to have a run for their money with these three already.
Finally, they made it to the sorting hat. The girls stopped behind everyone still holding each others' hands. They looked to be paying attention to what McGonagall was saying, but the small smirks that quickly graced all three girls' face told them otherwise. The trio stood back and waited patiently for their names to be called holding onto each other for strength.
In Guinevere's P.O.V.:
"Weasley, Guinevere!" McGonagall shouts my name and looks at the crowd of faces patiently waiting for me to step forward. I hold my head high and walk up to the stool and sit down. It was already a given which house I would be in. Right? My hands start to sweat and I put them in my lap trying to settle my nerves. The sorting hat is placed on my head and I slightly jump when it starts to talk.
"Another Weasley eh? But you seem different than the others. Yes... loyal to friends, but there's something wicked in your mind. Very interesting indeed." The hat starts to hum in deep thought. I'm starting to become impatient though. I didn't like having everyone's eyes on me and it was making me anxious.
"Okay listen hat I'm a Weasley! I think it's kind of a given which house I'm going to end up in so just shout gryffindor and let's end this!" I snap at the ratty hat on my head. The professors are taken aback by the harshness in my voice and the hat stops humming.
"So, you think you should be in Gryffindor eh? Well, I say differently. With your sharp tongue and the lingering wickedness in your mind I say... SLYTHERIN!" The hat shouts loudly and my heart stops in my chest. I can see Percy scoffing and looking away at the Gryffindor table and across from him the twins are in shock. I look and see Ron is frozen in place. Ro and Riles look at one another, but they don't seem too shocked. I numbly walk over to the Slytherin table. This was unexpected, but oddly enough I feel as though a weight has been taken off my shoulders since there's no expectations from Percy on me anymore. I straighten up and watch the rest of the sorting.
In Rosabelle's P.O.V.:
"Malfoy, Rosabelle." I was called up to the stool right after my brother. He, of course, got sorted into Slytherin. I sat on the stool with my eyes locked on my friends.
McGonagall placed the hat on my blonde hair and the hat gasped, "ANOTHER MALFOY?!" Then, he started humming softly to himself it seemed. He stated, "Hmmm. Very interesting. Your mind is very different from your brother's, yet they are very similar in many ways. I can already tell that you are very loyal to those that you consider to be your friends. Where to place you?"
I softly mumble, "Anywhere, but Slytherin. I don't want to be treated like my brother. Please." He seemed to find it amusing because he started laughing.
"Not Slytherin, eh? Then, it has got to be.......RAVENCLAW!!!" I gave a small sigh of relief and calmly walked over to my table. I allowed the hall to gawk at me in silence. I look over towards my brother to see him looking at me with disgust and I see Guin next to him giving me a thumbs up with a goofy smile on her lips. I hold my head high looking over at my best friend.
In Susan's P.O.V.:
The castle was much larger than I was lead to believe. I watch quietly as everyone gets sorted and patiently wait for my turn. I fiddle with the fabric on my cloak sleeve and try to ignore the stares from the older students and the professors. After a frizzy haired girl named Hermione gets sorted, I feel someone tap me on the shoulder. I turn to look at who tapped me and see the same three girls that I sat with on the boats.
"Hi my name is Richelle Potter, and those two knuckleheads are my best mates! Wanna join our trio?" The girl's smile is almost contagious and it makes the whole room brighter. I look at the three girls as they patiently wait for me to answer.
"Bones, Susan!" McGonagall shouts for me. I walk up to the front and look over my shoulder at the three girls. I shyly wave at them and head to the front. I'd never really had friends before, but I think I could be with those three. They seem kind. I sit on the stool and the hat is placed on my head.
"Well this certainly won't be a hard decision. There's only one place you belong... HUFFLEPUFF!" The hat shouts and I smile. I walk over to the table and sit down with my housemates, who all welcome me with open arms.
In Richelle's P.O.V.:
"Potter, Richelle." I was the very last one to be sorted and I could feel all eyes on me as I walked towards the stool. I even saw the professors sit up a little straight though my bangs. I almost tripped up the few steps, but caught myself and made it look like a graceful spin. My brother knew I almost fell and he sent me a reassuring smile. I must have looked terrified because as I looked at both the Ravenclaw and Slytherin tables, Ro and Guin sent me smiles of their own. I smiled back at my friends. Then, I glance towards the Hufflepuff table to smile at Susan Bones. I had a feeling she would become very dear to me. After all that, the hat was placed on my head.
A masculine voice said in my head, "How many twins does this school need? The Patil's, the Weasley's. Twice! The Carrow's, the Malfoy's, and now the Potter's? Merlin help us!" I couldn't help, but give a small giggle.
"It's better than having Dracula teach students." The hat starts to laugh.
"You're a witty one, but I can see bravery in you as well. I think you'd do best in......GRYFFINDOR!!!" The entire hall was silent as the hat was taken from my head. I looked to my best friends and I gave them reassuring smiles, which they returned. I headed towards my house as I smiled at my friends.
Suddenly, one of Guin's brothers' jumped on the table and yelled, "We got both Potters'!!!" The rest of the house cheered, while the other houses looked annoyed at the elder Weasley twin. I sighed softly. This was going to be a long year with these idiot as my housemates, but it will be an interesting one with my new friends.
