Chapter Sixteen - Flying Lessons

The girls quickly made it to their class and stood beside each other. They were waiting for Madame Hooch to get everyone a broom. She demonstrated how to lift a broom up. Riles, Guin, Susan, and Ro all said, "Up!" Only Guin and Riles' broom came up. With a few more tries, Ro got hers to come her hand. With a lot of cheering from a crazed Gryffindor, Susan was able to command her broom to her hand.

Said crazed Gryffindor smiled at her friend and declared, "I told you that you would do it!" The Hufflepuff nodded her appreciation. Then, they mounted their brooms and watched as Neville was in the air flying like a crazed person.

Riles pouts as she watches him. Rosabelle asks, "Why are you pouting, you loon?"

Riles sighs as she complains, "Neville is out crazying me! That's not fair!" Guin, who was watching her two friends in amusement, snorted in laughter.

She says, "You know, Riles, most people don't take being called crazy as a compliment."

Riles smirks and deadpanned, "Well, I'm glad I'm not like most people." The four girls looked at each other and burst into giggles. Then, they looked up to see Neville get caught on the side of the castle.

Guin gasps, "Neville!" By the looks on the original trio's face, they were trying to form a plan to get their fellow classmate down safely. However, they're quick thinking was not with them and they were too far away to even put anything into action.

Madame Hooch threatens the students to stay firmly on the ground or else. For once in her life, Richelle Lilian Potter was going to listen to her teacher. Well, that was the plan anyways until Draco Malfoy decided to be a prat. He taunted her twin brother with Neville's remembrall, but even then she still followed the rules. Though it looked like it was physically painful for her to stay in place.

She even stayed still when Professor McGonagall called out, "Potter!"

The ravenette female stated, "It wasn't me this time, professor!" The Head of Gryffindor gave her a tight smile.

She said, "I know dear. I wish to speak with your twin." The girl nodded and watched her twin get marched into the castle.

Guin commented, "Riles, you okay?"

Richelle answered, "Yeah. I'm just trying to listen for once..."

Ro mumbled, "In your life."

Susan joked shyly, "Are pigs flying now too?" Riles rolled her eyes with a small grin on her lips.

She defended, "Oh shut up, you three. I can listen!"

Ro stated, "Yeah. Once every 10 years." The other two burst into laughter.

Draco struts up to Ron and starts making fun of him and Harry. Guin intervenes, "Knock it off. Ro and I have settled our differences, so why can't you?"

Draco responded, "Because, unlike my sister, I don't accept rejected Gryffindors and blood traitors. They're below me." Then, out of no where they heard a very low growl. Draco turns on the ravenette and asks with a chuckle, "Did I hit a nerve, blood traitor lover?" Everyone took a step back from Richelle when she snapped her eyes up to face Draco.

No one had even seen such fury on the normally smiling face of the Girl Who Lived. There was no joy and laughter on her face, however, only anger and hatred in her sparkling emerald eyes. She demanded, "Take it back and apologize!"

Draco straightens himself and states, "No, I will...." He was cut off with a fist connecting itself to his cheek. The blonde laid on the ground in a state of shock, while the other Slytherins started fussing over him after they got over their shock.

Guin stood in shock for a few minutes staring at the shaking form of her best friend. She said, "Nice punch! I didn't know you had that in you, girl!" She hugged her friend from behind.

Susan said, "As much as I don't like violence, I unfortunately think that was necessary."

Ro piped up, "Oh. It was. He wouldn't have gotten the picture any other way."

Snape sees the whole thing and he walks up to Richelle. "Miss. Potter. Detention."

Guin stated, "She was standing up for me! It's not fair!"

Snape suggested, "You can join her."

Guin replied, "Fine! I will!"

Ro and Susan added, "Then, we will too!"

Snape snapped, "See you imbeciles after dinner!" He strolled back to the castle missing the smirk shared between the quad of girls. He doesn't know that he will soon be regretting his confrontation of the girls about what had just happened.
