After chemistry class, Belle didn't see Keiran anywhere in the school.

'It's his first week and it isn't going well for him.' Belle thought as she walked towards the exit realizing he skipped rest of the classes. It was finally time to go home. The corridor was crowded with students and everyone was rushing towards the exit. Students were pushing Belle as if she was invisible. She sighed in frustration but at last, she made her way out.

As she came out of the school, looked up towards the sky. It was covered with dark gray clouds. Belle hated dark, dull, cloudy weather. It was like a trigger for her gloominess, she groaned. She didn't want to go home and wanted to spend some time outside in the fresh air even though the weather was not in her favor but it was better to stay out than spending time in her room. She could go to the only place where she feels peaceful, the park. She got up and hurriedly walked towards the same park she visited a few days ago.

After a few minutes of walking, she entered the park. It was empty as expected. She looked at the ground which was covered with dull green grass that seemed to sprout. Belle quietly sat down on the ground. She started searching for the journal in her school bag. She was urged to write down her thoughts on paper and to have a peace of mind.

She took out her pen and journal, started filling up the pages.

From a far corner, a figure was quietly staring at her with narrow eyes, trying hard to see what she was doing there by herself. She had no clue that someone had already been sitting in the park.

That person was at a far distance, sitting under a tree with his eyes fixed on her. He was observing her, noticing how lost she was in her journal. Deep down, he was getting curious. He wanted to snatch that diary and run away. He wanted to know everything about her.

'What happened to her in the past?' he thought.

Belle felt something wet on her hand while writing. Then another drop fell on her page making the ink to spread all over the page. She quickly closed the journal, trying to protect it from getting wet.

Ring. Ring

She heard her phone ring, she reached for her phone in the bag while getting up to leave. She took it out while hanging the bag on her shoulder and started walking out of the park.

"Hello?" She finally answered the phone. "Belle, where are you? I'm outside your school," her mother began to speak in a frantic tone. Belle had forgotten that her mother was going to pick her from school today.
"Stay there. I'm on my way," She quickly walked towards the school. When she got to her school, rain began to fall heavily.

She looked around for her mother and waved to get her attention and sure enough, she did. Her mother drove over to her and Belle quickly got in the car, wet and breathing heavily.

"Are you okay?" Her mother turned over in her seat to look at her and Belle nodded. "Were you skipping any classes?" She narrowed her eyes into slits.
Elizabeth had always been really strict about school. She's one of those mothers who kept an eye on their children, making sure they are on top of their studies and making sure the grades are acceptable.
"Mom, what's wrong with you? You know I never skip classes. I just went out to see Keiran. He wasn't in school today so I thought I should go see if he's okay." She lied through her teeth but tried her best to make it seem realistic. She kind felt guilty and sad that she lied about skipping class. She remembered the last time she skipped school and how Keiran helped her when she fell on her butt and he kept her secret.

After hearing those words, her mom smiled in relief. "Oh okay. You had me worried there. So you and Keiran are friends?" Elizabeth asked as she drove the car down the street.
